    I think he should be invited even if it PO's your Mom. Its time for everyone to put aside their "what ever" feelings they have and make this the best day of your sisters life. You all know the truth about who's paying for what and thats all that really matters. I'm glad your grandpa is walking her down the isle, it is so cool. My father passed away in 1984 and I got married in 1990. My brother walked me down the isle and even though I know my Dad was watching, I surely do wish he was there holding my hand. You never know what tomorrow brings so just enjoy today. Good luck !!! and congratulations to your sister

    Good Morning, Welcome Doc !!! its so nice to have you here. I'm glad your not nervous about the surgery. Jesus said to give your burdens to Him and that sounds exactly like what you are doing. You see thats what I need to do, trust in Him more, and turn everything over to Him. Being human is hard !!!!! The 12th is coming up fast.... are you excited ? Dianne, I haven't had a yodell in years... ding dong, either. You bought the big box??????? living dangerously huh ROFLMFAO !!! Beanie, we miss you... Pat, no I didn't quit work, I am just taking my vacation that I have saved up. I go back on Monday. My next vacation is December 2006.... uhhh. I have to save my days incase my DD gets sick so thats why I use them at the end of the year. Companies look down on women who need to take time off for their kids, no matter what they say or how family orientated they seem, they still hold it against the mothers. Nice huh. Cindy, maybe I'm strange but i think I'm the only one that doesn't like girl scout Cookies. I buy them from the parents at work (for their kids) and I give them away. I'd rather have Chipahoy's lol. Good luck to your daughter w/selling them. Gotta ask you this.... do the kids in your class know you are retiring? if so, how do they feel about it. Sherry, can you put a piece of foam under your butt when you ride your bike... might help. Men's butts are weird LOLOL !!!!! Good luck at the doc's. Let us know. Betty... get away from the kitchen... no more cookies lady ROFL !!! so how's the no sugar coming along, is this day #4 for you ? Today its actually sunny out with blue skys.... ahhhhhhhh beautiful !!! I have no "real" plans for today except I have my car loaded with old clothes from DD and a TV that we don't use I'm giving to my sister since her's just went kablooie. Time to jump in the shower peeeeeeeeew! and get dressed (well in a few minutes lol). Hows everyone today?
  19. Its time for us to get up and move. Exercise is so important (even if I don't like to admit it). Exercise and Depression What are the Benefits of Exercise? Regular exercise has been proven to: Reduce stress, anxiety, and depression Boost self-esteem Improve sleep Exercise also has these health benefits: Strengthens the heart Makes the body better able to use oxygen Builds energy levels Lowers blood pressure Improves muscle tone and strength Strengthens and builds bones Helps reduce body fat Makes you look fit and healthy Exercise and Depression: What's the Link? Research has shown that exercise is an effective, but often underused, treatment for mild to moderate depression. What Types of Exercise Treat Depression? It appears that any form of exercise can help depression. Do I Need to See My Healthcare Provider Before Starting an Exercise Program? Most people can begin an exercise program without checking with their healthcare providers. However, people with a medical condition (such as diabetes or heart disease) and people who have not exercised much should check with their healthcare provider before starting any exercise program. How Can I Begin Planning My Exercise Routine? Here are some questions you can think about before choosing a routine: What physical activities do I enjoy? (this is me !!! I need to enjoy it). Do I prefer group or individual activities? What programs best fit my schedule? Do I have physical conditions that limit my choice of exercise? What goals do I have in mind? (For example, weight loss, strengthening muscles, or improving flexibility or mood enhancement) How Often Should I Exercise? To get the most benefit, you should exercise at least 20 to 30 minutes, three times a week. Current studies suggest that four or five times a week is best. If you are a beginner, exercise for 20 minutes and build up to 30 minutes. How Do I Get Started? When starting out, you should plan a routine that is easy to follow and maintain. As the program becomes more routine, you can vary your exercise times and activities. Choose an activity you enjoy. Exercising should be fun, not a chore. Schedule regular exercise into your daily routine. Add a variety of exercises so that you don't get bored. Look into scheduled exercise classes at your local community center. Exercise does not have to put a strain on your wallet. Avoid buying expensive equipment or health club memberships unless you are certain you will use them regularly. Stick with it. If you exercise regularly, it will soon become part of your lifestyle. What Should I Do If I Feel Pain During Exercise? Never ignore pain. If you experience pain, rest. You may cause stress and damage to your joints and muscles if you continue exercising. If you still feel pain two hours after exercising, you have done too much and need to decrease your activity level. Some mild soreness after exercise is normal. If pain persists or is severe, or you suspect you have injured yourself, contact your doctor right away. http://www.webmd.com/content/article/45/1663_51226.htm?lastselectedguid={5FE84E90-BC77-4056-A91C-9531713CA348}

    Back to being good...

    Lisa, your right 1200 is very little, its the reason most people have a hard time losing weight. On the other hand, you can get more bang for your buck by knowing what foods you'll get more of w/less calories. For instance, you can eat more low fat popcorn than potato chips. There's a book called Volumetrics and thats what it teaches. Good luck. I'm glad your feeling better ( and stay away from that wacko chick in your office ). Hugs ! Why Randy, what ever do you mean ROFLMFAO !!! Thats so cool your wife made it thru the holidays. Congratulations Mrs. Pecan Pie Queen

  25. I was curious myself. This is what I found. Yum cha (Cantonese:飲茶) literally translated as 'drinking tea', refers to the Cantonese custom of eating tiny tastes of many different foods while sipping some well-brewed Chinese tea. It is an integral part of Hong Kong's culinary culture, likewise the Guangdong Province’s. In any city with a sizeable Cantonese population, yum cha is a tradition on Sunday mornings, and whole families gather to chat and eat dim sum and gulp pot after pot of Chinese tea. The tea is important, for it is said to help digest the rich foods, which may be included in the choice of offerings. In the past, people used to go to a teahouse for yum cha, whereas dim sum restaurants have been gaining an overwhelming popularity of late.
