Josy, YOU ROCK !!!!!!! Good job I'm so sorry for the slip. How can the doctors correct it? Years ago I lost 150 lbs... (no band of course) I kept it off for 10+ years, and I too used to say NEVER will I get that big again..... sigh. I gained back 110 lbs and here I am trying to work it off again with the help of the band. I will never say never again lol.

Oh Shelly, seeing you in your wedding dress gave me goose bumps, you look sooooo beautiful. When I got married I was in a 14/16 and I had to order a size 18 dress b/c the bridal shop lady told me that wedding dresses are cut smaller than normal. So I bet that size 18 was indeed a 16. Here's my dress.... a size 18. I was 155 lbs or so, and definitly not a size 18, I'm 5'10" tall.

This is so true, we all have to realize its a tool and not a cure. I also know people who are gaining w/the band and gaining with gastric bypass. I am amazed at how much I can eat being a banded person with only 1 fill, its like I never was banded lol. How much have you lost Josy?

My dad always said, if you have one very good friend in life you are blessed, so IMHO, if I make one very good cyber buddy here than I'm a very blessed. Another words, we can't please everyone so if some one doesn't agree with you or even puts you down, just move on. I also felt like I was barging in on a private party when I got here but to my surprise everyone made me feel accepted and gave me all the love, support and information I asked for, even if I did ask the same questions they heard 1000 times. Hang in there, find a board where you feel comfortable and post away. Don't let a few rude or negative comments make you leave a wonderful place. Hey Cindy, Oh heck, I don't think your a smarty-pants or sarcastic, you have a heart of gold and thats what drew me to you. Everyone gets in a funk and its totally understandable, just hang in there. I'm sorry this time of year bums you out but I can surely relate. Losing some one is never ever easy, and I can never believe that time heals all wounds. What I do believe (and know) is that time makes it more bearable but there is that forever hole in the heart where that person once was, a reminder. We're here for you. 25 lbs in 2 months seems good to me. Remember we are not suposed to lose like gastric bypass people, so if your losing on an average of 1 - 2 lbs a week, that is considered good. Talk to your doctor about the fills and if you need one.

Good Morning, Sorry I can't play today... I have an all day computer class *boring* Cindy, nope I'm not losing weight and looking at my ticker was getting me depressed...so I took it off. I am really trying, I eat tons of veggies but over all I'm eating to much / to many calories to lose. I can't go above 1400 or I won't lose...so I must be up there. I've tracked on fitday but foooie... Wish I felt like I did after banding...that was the best, I ate so little, didn't care much about food and was losing weight. I'm right where I was before banding Yeah I know, it takes time... I'm hanging in there. It just seems others fly by ya know. Anyway....... Have a great day everyone.... good to see you all

Oh lordy... I can eat ALOT, much more than 8 oz. My doc said as long as I'm losing i'm okay which kinda took me off guard because b/4 surgery I thought the tummy/pouch could only hold so much (like my dietitian told me, babyfood size jars...what a joke), I told him I can eat an entire hero and he didn't flinch... knucklehead. I'm gonna keep an eye on exactly how much I can eat.... thanks for the reminder.

My friends doctor says he won't put no more than 3 cc's in a 4 cc band because he's afraid of erosion. I will ask my doctor the next time I see him.

My DH gave me one for christmas a few years ago. I brought it to work during christmas one year (lots of folks were gone, mainly bosses lol) so me and my friend walked around this huge facility blasting away. People in elevators didn't know where to look (my friend had it in her pocket). We also played the sound over the intercom. We figured heck, we were stuck there while everyone else had off so why not have some fun. Then my boss this really corporate professional lady put it in her suit jacket and bent down in front of a bunch of people and let them rip... She kept grabbing her tummy saying...oh excuse me I don't feel well. I almost pee'd in my pants b/c she did it so perfectly and with a strait face. But since being banded, I no longer need the remote.... I can just about let em rip any time I darn well please LOLOL !!!! saves on batteries don'cha know.
