I'm the youngest of 7 kids.....Mom and Dad both worked like animals. Can you say neglect? The only time I was paid attention was at the dinner table. I was fat since I was 6 years old. food was my friend, it was there for me through my lonely childhood. Its hard to give up your first love.

Andy I've never heard that bread will expand the pouch. The reason people stay away from it other than carbs is that it gets stuck, golfball feeling, pain. I for one eat bread and have no problem with it (as long as i take small bites and chew it to mush). For a healthier choice, eat a slice of toast rather than the danish... there's probably more sugar and crap in the danish than a slice of bread. Some one correct me if I"m wrong please.

I eat to fast also, but the food getting stuck has slowed me down alot.

He has pain killers and takes them when it flares up. It sucks!!! We were invited down the street to a party on sunday but I'm not so sure if I want to go. The one lady down the street told me how they are infested with ticks.... hmmmmmmmmmm NOT!!!!!!! We live near a river and at the bottom of a mountain, very woodsy even for bergen county. DH was working in the yard yesterday and came across a nest of baby bunnies...but no mama ??????? we don't know what to do, because they don't even have their eyes open. They are darling and there's 7 of them. I'm gonna call the wild life center to see if they will take them.. I don't know what else to do.. Vets won't take them and I can't feed them ?? sigh. How's everyone today?

I could eat a 6" sub when I was 3 months out.... your not restricted but you should be very careful at this early stage. From what I understand its normal to be able to eat alot before fills.

I agree that we don't need the bad carbs like rice, potatoes, bread (white), white noodles, but I disagree that we shouldn't eat veggies, fruits and whole grains (in moderation). IMHO, protiens and lots of veggies is the way to go (with fruit in moderation).

Susan, me too, its ALL over the house as well as me, its gross and scary. My little girl loves to go behind me after I wash my hair and pull them out...she thinks it fun that so much comes out but at the same time she goes ewwwwwww. The amount I lost and its not slowing down is really depressing me. I get my protein, vitamins and my next step is Omega3's. I remember being on them years ago and my hair growing like cousin It. I have to order the kids chewables b/c the ones in the stores are like horse pills. Good luck everyone.

Yes, I wear one. Ira from this board (IVAN708) is an EMT and told me not to get the fancy ones b/c they can be mistaken for jewelery. Incase something happens, I surely don't want some one sticking a tube down my throat to my stomach and damaging my pouch b/c they can't see the band to get thru to my stomach. Patty, thats great that Lewis gets to go to that camp. I think its wonderful that they do stuff w/the kids. When my neice was born (she is a dwarf) we didn't realize just how many 'groups' there were so that she could meet others like her and not feel so alone. People don't realize the many (over 250) different medical problems these people can have, its very heart breaking what they go thru. She has had at least 10 operations and she's only 10 years old. She was born into a family of giants, people that are 6' tall so you can imagine. Have fun today !!!
