Eric, I'm glad your calling your doctor. I would think with the amount of water you drank and the heat thats probably why your not hungry. The feeling like you need to swallow, thats what I get when I get a fill, almost like I'm gulping air...yes hard to explain. Grumpy..............ummmm yes thats normal IMHO. Getting in lot of water is very important, last thing you need to do is dehydrate. Getting your protein in is also important...can you take vitamins yet? chewables? Good luck and let us know what the doc says.

Since we are not supposed to drink carbonated drinks (which I don't) I figured I would let a couple of bottles of diet coke and diet 7 Up (20 oz bottles) sit in my frig uncovered so that it goes flat and I can enjoy the taste. Diet 7 Up lost all carbonation in one day, flat as a board, zippo bubbles (believe me I shook the crap out of the bottle). Diet Coke is going on day 3 and its still loaded with carbonation WTF??? never ending bubbles. Whoooda thunk :faint:

Mary Ann, I don't know anything about your preop diet but I personally did not have to do anything before my surgery. My doc said to enjoy and so I did, I had steak and chocolate cake the night before. I don't think a small piece of ckn is going to harm you but !! I do strongly suggest you try (and I know its hard) to stick to doc' orders. Your almost there !!! hang tight.

Its amazing how a full time job can really leave you with 0 time for yourself or others. Hang in there !! Patty your such a good soul. Your son's are blessed to have you for their Mom.
