Oh boy, two at once quitting is hard. Sorry DH threw the bread at you. My DH quit right after my DD was born 4 years ago. He went on zyban and did really good with it. He never had a cranky bone in his body but does now LOL !! Good luck to you, sounds like your doing really well. Just keep reminding each other that the crankyness is b/c of the smokes and that you still love each other. BRAVO !!!

Sounds like you are punishing yourself for not meeting your goals and yet you say it yourself 100 lbs is not a realistic goal. Step back Corrine, look how far you've come and not have far you haven't come. Wholey smokes girl, 67 lbs in 6 months, thats AMAZING !!! You are that much closer to your goal. Also ask yourself.... why you are racing? this should not be a race but a healthy way of treating your body. I understand, I realllllllllly do understand your frustrations. But now its time to look back at where you were 6 months ago and where you'll be 6 months from now. So you had a bout with fries.... at your next meal, make it a healthy one and every good thing you put in your body realize and say to yourself, this is for the healthy NEW me. You spent a life time gaining weight, whats one year losing it? Plus slow is good. Hugs to you pretty woman, you'll get there..... hang on!! Eileen Ohhh forgot one thing... YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE !!!

OH you poor dear. I'm sorry your suffering so but I'm glad your at the hospital and they are watching you. For sure you got my prayers... hugs !!!!

I'm only out one week and I want to hit a buffet. I am starving, ravenous. I feel like I have no restriction b/c I can drink water like I did before surgery. Lots and lots of people I know don't lose until thier fill so please, let this just be a learning time. Doctors and nurses should not put you down for gaining, they of all people should understand the process. And just to say, I know 2 people who have had the bypass and have gained ALOt of weight back. Don't second guess your decision. Get up, brush your knees off and get that fill that you so deserve. YOUR WORTH IT !!! Hugs and kisses and remember, you have us

Is anyone's stomach growling so bad it HURTS like a mutha, it stops me in my tracks and I have to grab my stomach. I bought some Isopure yesterday. Its got lots of Protein and its clear. Good Morning Its a blue sky.... I'm happy We got a phone call last night from my MIL's neighbor, she called at 12:15 am. They took my MIL to the hospital b/c her leg hurt (she only has one leg b/c of circulation problems...looong story). We got another call at 5 AM that the hospital needed my DH to come down to help my MIL make a decision on weather or not to amputate her only leg or she will die.. She is 78 years young, weighs about 70 lbs at most, and lost her other leg a few years ago b/c of the circulation problems. My FIL is 81 and has a hard time remembering things and is having major problems of his own right now. Uhh. Cindy you are too sweet Betty, sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday. I'm glad you get to ride and enjoy the weather. Beanie I've been thinking about you. Even thought your going through a rough time with the insurance heinies, your still here cheering everyone on and supporting them. Your such a good soul. Thanks !! Lisa, sounds like a great day with the girls. The operation was worse than I thought, but thats b/c of the gas they put inside you. I am impressed with the incisions though, they are tiny except the one in the middle. Other than that, I'm amazed how good I feel right now. Everyone is different, so the pain is different. My friend who had the surgery 2 weeks b/4 me had NO gas what so ever...go figure. She went to work after 2 weeks and is wizzing right thru this. Other than wanting to eat REAL bad, I'm doing pretty good. I believe I made the right choice in having this surgery. Ask me in 6 months and I'll have a totally different outlook. Pain and hunger suck but getting fatter and fatter by the day sucks more. Jolynn how are the kids today ? I did get the Isopure yesterday and I'm trying to work them in. They got a funky after taste but at this point, I don't care Anyone got an extra bagel laying around the house LOLOL !!!

I'm in the same situation as you, for I was banded on the 24th. Clear liquids sucks don't it LOL. I can not believe I have any hair left and I'm on day 7 (I'm going nuts, wanna pull my hair out LOL). My mom made some really good ckn/veggie broth for me, I have 1 cup a day. I have coffee w/skim milk in the morning. This is on my list of "clear" foods, just 1 a day though. I'm eating italian ices (no fruit inside), ice pops, gatorade, and I just incorporated ISOPURE (its got protein) drinks in yesterday. Isopure is a clear drink and it comes in many flavors, I got mine at GNC. I'm hopeing this will help b/c protein help keep you fuller longer. I'm drinking a TON of water but still going crazy when the hunger pains make me stop in my tracks and grab my stomach. I think the best thing to do is stay out of the kitchen, keep busy and remember, this will pass. I am not sugar restricted but I still watch b/c I don't want to eat 1000 calories in sugar ya know. GOOD LUCK !!!!

Jolynn, yes, we have a GNC and DH went there yesterday to pick up a few bottles for me. I feel better that I'm having something other than sugar in my body LOL. Anne, the link below says around 50, so thats pretty right on w/what your doc says. The Isopure drinks have 60 whopping grams, so if you have a hard time you can try these, but like Jolynn says, you have to drink them COLD !! You know everyone is different. PamRN was out shopping the next day..can you imagine that? I'm only starting to feel human again. I did go to the mall and stood there sweating like a pig for 45 minutes. It was a little to much for me but I made it home okay. I'll drag myself to church tomorrow and then to a birthday party w/dd. But thats it for the day, I'll be exhausted. SNOW !! egads, where are you from ? I hope your getting in enuf fluids.

Welcome and congratulations Cheryl, I was banded this past monday. I did not have to do the two weeks b/4 surgery liquids, shoot, the day before surgery I was chowing down at Charlie Browns Steakhouse LOL. I'm on day 6 of "clear liquids" and BOY am I snarvin, growl !!! I too can't wait for mushies, I want butternut squash in the worst way (sick huh LOL). *cheers* w/some broth LOL. Eileen

Hey Kids, Ira that zoo is a zoo LOL. Glad you had fun. I know DD would flip out if I brought her to something like that. She freaks when she see's people in big furry costumes. I know he doesn't fill it during surgery. Right now I feel no restriction as far as getting down water or anything. It goes down quite easy and I can get alot down. I'm just being really careful and going slow but I can drink like before. I don't gulp b/c I'm afraid of hurting myself and more gas. Glad to hear your doing well. Have a great night everyone
