Oh boy that does suck. I agree with Anne, go to hubby's HR dept and start there. Uhhh i could scream for you. I'm very sorry. Hugs, Eileen

Oh yikes. Start logging your food into fitday to see what you are doing but be very honest with what your eating. It does sound odd that your weight went down and the cholesterol went up. Watch your dairy, high fat meats and Snacks to see if they are whats causing it. Good luck !!

Welcome back and congratulations !! I would order a burrito and eat the insides

OMG I LOVE TINKERBELL, I have a tinkerbell purse that I just bought at wallmart last week ROFLMFAO !! I'll take you up on that too. WoWEEEE ! feels like christmas early. Your job sounds like the best !!! I would love that. Hey you must be a tough mom...giving your kid a blood nose...guess you showed em who's boss ROFLMFAO !! I'm just kidding LOLOL Cindy I know how you feel with your mom gone, I lost my dad from cancer in 1984, he was only 54 years old, I lost a brother in 1990 from heart failure, he was a body builder and we think steroids might have done it. AND this one is the hardest for me, I lost my eldest sister in 1998 from a rare blood disease that took her life in one week. They thought it was the flu, then they figured it to be moskowitz (sp?) disease, anyway they said she would be okay but she died 5 days later. Thats when I gave up in life and started gaining all my weight back. Patty she is the sister that lived in California. One thing that I have learned is greiving is so important, cry and get it out because if you don't your only harming yourself. I still grieve for my Sister, something terrible. I'm glad your going to spend the holiday with your Grandma, that is really nice of you. Well its lunch time and my refried Beans and squash are calling me. I just don't know what to eat LOL!!! tomorrow my Mom is making chili so I'm having some of that for sure. Can't wait

Well I'm only on the mushy stage so what I've been eating for Breakfast is oatmeal. I don't have eggs in the house or i'd be eating them. How much can I eat... well i feel like I can eat ALOT since I am only out 3 weeks w/no fill/restriction. I just stop myself after about a cup of food. But then I get hungry 1 - 2 hrs later. I'm trying to keep my calories under 1200 How about you ????? your doing terrific, whats your day like?

Hi Kendra, Other than getting another fill, I would suggest loging your food into Fitday.com and see how many calories you are eating. You'd be surprised just how fast those little calories can sneak up on you. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.
-
Jini, you'll be fine. I had no preop diet either. I ate at Charlie Browns Steakhouse the night before. Your gonna be okay, don't worry. It is hard thats a given but you can do this.
-
Yes Hedwig, I got a bottle of those too but didn't need them. Its a good thing they are cheap. I used the chewable gas-x. I also got 2 bottles of adult liquid tylenol, one for home and one for my car.

Good Morning, Patty, I'm so glad your here Your introduction was great !!! I didn't know walt opened up disney in 1955, I thought the one in florida was the first one and I believe that opened in 1971 (I was there, 3 whoppin rides LOL). Some day I'll get the nerve up to fly and I'll go again but this time I'll have my DD to share in the fun. Good luck this saturday. Beanie, I'm so sorry to hear about BCBS. My friend know's a lawyer who had the band and will write letters to insurance companies, if you want I can find out his name. I don't know how much it cost but I do know he is from NY (if that makes a difference)? She said he is frustrated b/c he knows what it is like to deal with the insurance companies and being over weight. Let me know if I can help okay!! Betty hope you enjoyed your TV show. The only tv I get to watch is kids shows Sara, Hope you have a relaxing day today and good luck with the fill I'm out of here soon to take DD to school and then back home to rest my back. i feel so bad b/c all DD is doing is sitting watching tv. I can't even get up and walk around the back yard with her. Dang back !!! Oh well LOL. Have a wonderful day everyone

Hi Maggie, Let me just say, there is nothing wrong with you. What I was afraid of was giving up the way I ate. I so enjoy food and lots of it, I mean lots. What I had to keep saying to myself was that I am not giving up food, I will be able to enjoy everything (well almost) and still be healthy. Food was / is my friend, its there for me, it makes me feel good, why would I want to do this. Well every time I looked in the mirror that was my answer. I knew I had to do something because I was not living the life I really wanted to be living. I want to play with my DD and feel good about myself. With these thoughts in my head I pressed on and got my ass in geer. I'm banded 3 full weeks now and I'm glad, so glad I did it. Its not easy but its worth it. Good luck to you Maggie HUGS

Yep, skinnies just don't get it, they never will until they are in our shoes. Don't let it bother you, sounds like you'll have a great support group with the other ladies.

Why do insurance companies always say they lose paperwork? can't they come up with a better one like their dog ate it? Tropicana GOOD LUCK
-
Beanie, I'd hate to say it but don't hold your breath about BCBS calling you back, they said the same sh*t to me. The chick at the other end even asked me for my cell # because she promised she would call me back. I was on pins and needles. Tell them when you talk to a supervisor you want a 48 hour expedited review. Then they should have your answer in 2 days. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this, its just awful. Other than that Beanie, how are you? How's texas and how's the fitness club? are you making it there? How's DH. Cindy WOWOEEE 1 bar last up to 3 hours...whoooahaaaa !! My meals don't even last me 2 hours. I took a nap today to avoid the frig thats how hungry I am lol. My back will never get better, I have DDDisease and arthritis, bone spurs that jingle jangle jingle as I go riding merrily along So I deal with it lol. Dinner time......... mush mush mush !!!
-
I think it has something to do with the liver (fatty liver) and shrinking it. My doc let me eat until midnight the night before my surgery, no restricion what so ever. But after surgery I was on Clear Liquids for 2 whole loooooooong weeks then thick liquids for another week, now mush. So every doc's views are different. Are you doing the liquid diet now?
-
Ira CONGRATULATIONS !!!! my gosh the weight is just falling off of you. WONDERFUL!! Are you counting calories? if so how many are you at per day? whats a day like in Ira'sville eating... Details Details Enjoy your cracker LOL, get the soft spreadable cheese LOL. Pat, have fun shopping Beanie ????? you okay.

I know exactly how you feel. I kept saying that to myself and then I'd say, who am I kidding, I'm getting fatter and fatter. It does get frustrating and I think for me by the time my surgery actually was here I kinda fizzeled out with all my excitement. Not fare. I can honestly say that I was excited and frustrated at the same time. I still feel like that even banded but I'm sure its because I can't eat "normal" food yet. I know once I'll be able to do that I'll be excited again PLUS watching the scale move in the other direction for the first time in YEARS makes this journey all worth it. I do not regret having this surgery because each day I feel better and better. You will too. HUGS !!!!

Did you cook for your family when you were on the liquid phase???Very picky eaters.
NJChick replied to ladysplenda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
And there you have it .... ROFLMFAO ! You can cook just about anything in a crock pot. The web is full of recipes. Today I cleaned and cut some boneless chicken breast and put that in my crock pot with some Good Seasons italian dressing. I mix the dry with about 1/2 cup of water (no oil) and just let it cook for a few hours. You can throw in a can of soup, like cream of mushroom at the end if you want. I made some mashed cauliflower (for me) yesterday and DH will eat that tonight as well. I'll pass on the chicken for now. I also was bored yesterday so I sat at the kitchen table and chopped up some fresh carrots so tonight I'll make some fresh carrots w/some brown sugar sauce. If I didn't have them already cut you can bet your boopie I would open a can and say here !! LOL Do whats easiest for you, you need to put you first. HUGS !!! Here's some sites: http://southernfood.about.com/library/crock/blcpidxt.htm http://www.recipezaar.com/r/q=crockpot http://www.tastycrockpotrecipes.net/articles.html http://www.crockpot.com/support/recipes.html -

Haaaaaa thata girl LOL !!!! I can't blame him for the hamburger helper thing ICK!!! but frozen home made food isn't to bad. Do you have a crock pot? You can throw everything under the sun in there in the morning and you won't have to deal with it all day, so by the time he gets home viola! dinner is in the pot, help yourself. The have lots of things these days to make cooking fast and easy, Shedspread (I think thats the brand) now has mac & cheese, mashed taters and stuff like that already made and not frozen. Its usually by the ckn nuggest that are not frozen. Put a piece of keilbasa in the oven, and nuke the mac & cheese and poof, your out of the kitchen in 5 minutes LOL !!! -

What I did the weekend before my surgery was cook cook cook and freeze freeze freeze. I made all sorts of things and just stuck it in the freezer. I thought the same thing you did that I would have a hard time. So when DH came home at night I had something defrosted for him. Breakfast & lunch he did himself. But I had to feed my DD who's 4. That was easy, a quick pnutbutter & jelly sand, or some ckn nuggets thrown in the oven wasn't a killer. If you don't wanna cook get him some frozen hungry man dinners or something like that. Lots of times grocery stores will have premade foods you can pick up that are not frozen. He'll live LOL. You'll do just fine.
