I know I am new here and it might not be my place but...... I honestly think you should seek help for your alcohol addiction... Then if needed consider lap band. To be honest the lap band just sounds like a way to make you feel better about drinking.

I am not sure which BCBS I have other than a PPO... How can I tell? I have it through my work. I know it's not the federal.:help:

Ahh ok that makes sense. Thanks.

Well my BMI is over 40. I have done as the doctor recommended 2 years ago and have been to a nutritionist for 6 months in a row.

I would consider it a sign of respect for your elders. Yes, they have paid their dues and most do not have much in the bank.

A few months ago my company like I said switched to BCBS. Not thinking about it I didn't even call to ask if they covered it because I was already denied from my last insurance.... I called today and without even having to plead my case the lady said no that is all covered!!!! So I scheduled my seminar for 10/25. Here I had 10k set aside for pay for it....... Now I have 10k to figure out what to use it on

Awesome! So when you have done in Mexico do you just find a doctor locally that you can see for fills and such?

I have been reading the forums on and off for a while and finally decided to register. I am sure that if my insurance wouldn't pay for the surgery I would be able to finance it if needed. However, I am trying to find out how many have had to have skin removed after they lost the weight or will it tighten up?

I am new here and not banded yet. I would either not go... but since it was a party and you did go I would just pay the price to be there and eat the standard amount that you would normally consume in a meal... If you're truely concerned with the cost and that is a major factor for you maybe you should call ahead and explain your situation? I myself would just pay the price and enjoy the ambiance with the friends and family. I am not one though to bring attention to myself or that fact that I am any different from anyone else in the place.

I am going to answer myself! I have Bluelink. The reason I had no clue is because my work recently switched too it. I don't see any threads about it currently. However, I have the cash for the surgery but would much rather have insurance pay for it. Has anyone had any luck with Bluelink BCBS? If so how did you go about getting it preapproved. I want to move on this asap.

How did it go Jae? -
Thank you so much for your response! I was thinking of having the reversal surgery in the next 24 months so that would be great!

I am sorry to ask so many questions.... I have looked all over and cannot find the answer. My husband and I were considering a tubal reversal. However, I have been planning on having the lapband surgery as well. Does anyone know if pregnancy is ok while you have the lapband or will I need to have the reversal first?
