    Banded April 23 2008

I met with my personal trainer for the first time on the 7th day post op  I haven't stopped since. I work out 3-6 days a week depending on how much time I have.

    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

Just thought I would check in with an update. I am doing great still I can't feel any pain. My incisions since they are glue are barely noticeable. I am back to work full time. Post op appt the other day and the doc told me to eat anything I want just in small portions and chew. My weight has stalled since switching over to food obviously. I am not regaining so thats a definite plus. I will just have to really watch the food intake for the next few weeks close. I have a fill on 6/12... seems like forever.. I have made it this far though so I will try to be patient. If I follow the rules and eat slow I definetly find I eat alot less and fill up faster. My guilty pleasure right now is my craving for grapefruits with salt... don't ask me I don't know where it came from.

    Anthem BC/BS-BMI requirement?

I have BCBS of Minnesota and they cover BMI under 40 as long as you have comorbities which you do. Call them they will be upfront.
  7. Congrats  I knew you had been waiting because it would be easier in june/july. I am very happy to see BCBS come through for someone else too!

  10. Oh man I am 2 weeks post op and I keep getting the same thing today.. I woke up around 4 feeling like that :cursing: Then alarm went off at 5:30 and I thought I was gonna puke. For one reason or another it seems like it's coming in waves. I have some anti nauseau medicine at home but im at work
  11. You should check out the Couch to 5k threads in the fitness threads :cursing: I am about to start on one of those as I would love to go back to jogging. I am 2 weeks post op and do a fast walk of 3 miles a few times a week.

    Rep Power

I am still trying to figure out if u can view the positive rep and where
  13. I jog/walk 3-5 days a week, weight train 2x per week and I am going bowling this weekend. If I haven't felt pain from the crunch my personal trainer puts on me I am sure that I can go bowling and I am 2 weeks post op. I think that what you can do is totally different for each person. Consult your doctor... When you do make sure to tell him everything like I can walk 3 miles and not experience pain etc.. That will give him a feel for your healing capabilities and your tolerance to exercise.
