I am staying on plan because I have worked out really hard 5 days in a row and have eaten right :tt1: Lets make it day 6! -
I have been using daily plate religously lately and logging my exercise and food. Do you find that the calories burned for exercise on there is accurate? I have an issue with the biking general one... They say you burn 800+ per hour for my weight. I don't see that happening. I ride my bike 39 minutes each way for work to get exercise.

I am looking into the bodybugg since I work out quite a bit and I would like to see where it is I am actually burning calories at. Is anyone aware of another type computer that does the same thing so I can compare them?

Do you have a recommendation for a wireless one? Which one are you using and how do you like it?

Did you get an IV for fluids that would fix it within just a couple hours. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

So how did the weight even out and how did you become so dehydrated?

Here is the precious cargo I pull behind my bike

I joined the gym 7 days after my surgery so on 4/30. When I first started going I was really embarassed and felt like everyone was staring at me. I decided a few weeks ago that I could care less if they were staring (they probably arent why would they care what I was doing) I would have to assume now that if they are staring it's because they like what they see now

HAHA thanks for your input. Thats exactly how I felt and thought I just guess I wanted reinforcement. I cannot see you doing anything and sweating and breathing hard and not getting a workout lol. Last time I timed myself it took 78 minutes for the ride. I have started mixing it up at times. I might stand up and peddle, slow down, speed up, take a new route... but it's always around the same distance. I don't feel comfortable enough with it to ride farther maybe just a new route with more hills. I actually had my first victory this morning on my ride.. I made it the whole way without getting off my bike for the biggest hill I have.. Sounds silly but I LOL'd as I hit the top I didn't care who saw me  :w00t:

Good morning everyone  I had a question since some of you have been biking for a while I thought someone might know the answer to this. I started biking about 13 miles per day. At the end of the work out my legs are tired and im very sweaty. I ride at a very steady pace of around 11 mph and go up and down some minor hills in my travel. Now my question is.. People are making comments that since I do this so often that it wont really help me much because my muscles get used to it. I could see something like that happening if my body wasn't being strained. But I get a workout of what I feel is just right for me and pushes me to some limits. Maybe someone can explain to me if I really am wasting my time... I didn't think I was.

I take in around 1000-1200 calories per day. I have really aggressive workouts though and end up burning alot of calories.. Combined with the fact that I am riding my bike 13.5 miles to/from work. Yesterday I tried to take in more calories by eating more of the healthy foods and really had a hard time. I seriously made it a full time job making sure to eat so many times yesterday. I never thought I would complain about having to eat more  I understand what you mean with mixing it up. I was going to stick to my schedule this week and see if the scale budges again... if not I am going change it up.. switch my food and exercise. Oh I forgot to answer your question about prebanding calories. I ate a ton.. not sure where I put it but I am sure I could do 3k calories before.
-
Morning all. I have been stalled at the 28 pounds lost for many weeks till this week I had lost 1 pounds so up to 29. I am hoping that means the scale will continue to go down since my last fill. I had a fill on 6/18 and now I never feel hunger, remind myself to eat, drink my max water, and exercise 5x per week atleast 1 hour each with cardio.... If the scale doesn't start budging more soon I will really have to reevaluate what I am doing. I guess that brings on a question of mine. I checked my dailyplate log and it seems I am burning off most of what I take in. Yesterday I ended up with a net calorie intake of 104. I ate a ton but it was just 'healthy' foods so I hope I am not doing something wrong lol I should add I get about 50+ protein that my doc requires and 64 ounces of water.
-
I <3 Ketosis! But it sounds like you need to get protein in you.

I have heard good things about them. I am just worried they will be dry. I have to put something in Tuna even if its just a small amount because it's so dry. How are they in comparison to regular tuna?
-
I couldn't get past the texture of it so couldn't do it. Be careful though if you're a sweet eater that you dont stock up on the baby treats..

Brandy~ replied to fuzzynavel28's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Fuzzynavel I think you should register with daily plate and begin logging every single thing that goes in your mouth. I put everything... even if I have 1 cracker I put it down. I was doing it on and off since surgery but a couple weeks ago I started logging anything and everything (even my vitamins) and I get to see where I need to cut things, when I need more exercise, or if I need more. Really give that a week I am sure you will be suprised. -
Hi Lindar72! Welcome to LBT... It sounds like you're well into your journey of the lap band

Thanks Merkel  That makes me wanna get out and move more!

I find that when I am not losing weight I lose inches. I would measure yourself regularly. I do it about 1x per month.

I have an Iron Horse Azure Comp bike.. The original seat is great for riding in the mountains to lessen the weight of the bike. However, I ride to work more in town so I changed the seat out for a Forte Easy rider I will try to attach the pic (sorry took the pic with phone at work bad quality)
