    Inexpensive Bras, A Simple Tip

I was able to. It depends on where your incisions are though. Once mine were healed for a day or 2 I was back to wearing my normal bras.
  4. You're right by the end of it you're thinking oh jeez did I answer that one right!? They desensitize you so bad to horrid questions that by the end you're kind of complacent in your answers. The 2nd time around I was so intent on every question. Has anyone been denied the band for not passing? I have heard of people having to retake it a few times but nothing more.

I watched this show for the first time last night. I even set the season to record on my tivo. But someone please help me understand how the hell they were losing 10-25 pounds a week?
  6. Well this is my main complaint since having my last fill. I cant drink cold things in the morning or it wont go through my band. If I continue to sip knowing its not going through then I will pb and slime. It only took me a few times of realizing that Water was a no go at 5 am lol I am going to try having a cup of tea. Normally I just wait it out.. However, I would rather be getting liquids in so decaf tea it will be! Thanks. I get up around 520 am and it takes till about 930 before I can attempt to eat Breakfast as it is. Even then I can only eat about 1/2 what I normally do. By afternoon I am good to go tho and graze alot to make up for the missed morning calories.
  7. It's alright to laugh at my situation.. :tongue2: When it happened I was freaking out.. Once it was over and they said ok to lapband I then decided it was hillarious haha
  8. Once your body hits Ketosis you will start dumping weight. The diet you're following is pretty similar to some of the pre op diets minus the salad. I have seen alot of pre op diets that include shakes, Water, broth, and then a solid Protein with a steamed veggie for dinner. That ones fairly common. I had a 6 month required diet by my insurance and I wish I would of actually tried to lose weight on it. But since my doctor didn't require a pre op diet or liquids I pigged out right up until 12 hours before surgery I could of been alot farther in my progess had I been good. I applaud you for your efforts. The pre op stuff for me was the hardest part. Since having the band I feel like a huge weight was lifted off me ~48 lbs!
  9. Sorry to hear that Katie.. Might not really make you feel better but I had to take the freaking thing again too. Mine was like yours HELLLA long... Turns out partway through I got 1 line off so each time I put an answer it belonged to the question before it haha. Could u imagine the look on the dudes face scoring it? I wonder how I answered the ones that said "I love to hurt small animals" and "I like when my spanked me as a child" Yeah I had some messed up questions.

    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

Good morning all. I tried not to weigh myself this morning but I couldn't help it No change.. Bleh. So last night I watched the biggest loser premier for the first time. Does anyone watch that? I don't get it. How in the heck did some of the people lose almost 30 pounds in a week? This is suppose to be a healthy way ?

two months out and not losing!

Theres many bumps along the road. I just made a post about my weight loss on the april avengers because I am doing EVERYTHING right and I have hit a plateau... That is just the way it goes. If for some reason you're not following all the bandster rules I would go back to following them and I bet in a few days you will see a difference. It's very easy to get wrapped up with the numbers and I am the first to admit I am one of them. I have even considered donating my scale so I will stop standing on it! I am 4 months post op and have lost 48 pounds and hit a wall. I have perfect restriction but not an ounce of change on the scale. Trust me it will come and when we plateau we just have to vent then work through it and keep up with all the bandster rules. You have only had 1 fill so I am sure that is a huge part of it. Most people take 3+ fills before they get it right. You're doing great just keep up the good work and get a 2nd fill. I am sure it will start coming off.
  12. Funny I saw this post.. I am making sloppy joes tonight! Yes, I will eat some of the meat with no bread and probably a few bites of a salad... While my 2 teenagers and husband will manage a whole plate of food. I will only eat about 1/4 cup of sloppy joe and 1/2 cup of salad and that might be pushing it. Like Leslie I work in an office (About 10 hours a day) So I have breakfast, lunch and atleast 1 snack at work that is specifically what I would consider band foods.

    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

Well this journey is a long and sometimes bumpy one and I knew that when I signed up. But everytime I think I find the sweet spot I lose for a couple weeks then BAM! I hit a wall. I am at the right restriction I can tell. I must sip water when I drink, food gets stuck if I don't chew well, I can only eat 1/4 -1/2 cup, I cant remember the last time I had a hunger pang.. I work out 30 minutes to 1 hour a day so I don't really think I need to up that. I have been logging my food since the start and I still get 72-100 oz of water a day and atleast 55+ grams of protein per day. I have tried lowering my calories and upping them to no avail. So what am I doing wrong? I have lost ~48 I know that is a good amount. The only thing I am concerned about is I have lost only 8 pounds now in over 2 months. While I am very happy that I am not gaining I am a little frustrated with this current lack of loss and had to get it off my chest. I think I learned my lesson of declaring that I hit my sweet spot lol

    Band Banter Talk Show

Too bad it's during normal work hours for us on the west coast.
  16. That was very neat! I loved watching that and congratulations on such a wonderful job :tt1:
  17. Brandy~

What size is your meal portion???

I can only eat about a 1/4 cup of any protein rich food if I chew it right. If I mess up at the beginning of a meal the whole things blown thats for sure. If I am eating salad I can do a cup.

    Any smokers?

This might sound a little harsh... But why in the world would you do a life altering surgery for your health to sabatoge it with smoking? I decided to get healthy, quit smoking, had surgery, Wont touch it again. Been over a year and a half since I quit smoking and 5 months since surgery.
  20. Oh hmm the cripsbread sounds good I might try that too. Thanks!
  21. Since my last fill it's pretty hard to get bread down so I have quit trying haha. The only time I have pb'd or slimed was on bread. I LOVE my bread but really I haven't missed it a whole lot. However, I did buy some Whole Grain wraps and put 1 slice of cheese in it and 1 slice of turkey. Thats a whole meal for me and it was good and it went down just fine. Since finding these I was wondering if others have more alternatives to breads that I could mix it up with in my diet
