Turler~ So glad to see the fill went well and that you were able to get in so quickly. I hope this means things will turn around a bit for you! You and I learned our lessons with the margaritas and salt eh? Haha GDF~ I went on a no added salt and lots of water diet for 2 days and I am back to normal thank god! I really learned a lesson there. I get hiccups a lot. They don’t usually last a long time though. They come when I am trying to get food in, when I should stop eating, and when I am too full. Yours might be different… But I call mine soft stops.. Meaning it’s a warning sign I have had enough to eat. OH I REALIZED TODAY IS MY 5 MONTH BAND ANNIVERSARY

Today is my 5 month bandanniversary and I am down 50 pounds and weigh 217. Please update me. -
I am at full restriction and I do ok with jerky. Tiny bites and lots of chewing. It's really flavorful and good on protein. You have to watch it though since it's also high in sodium. The ostrich jerky that lulu mentioned is good though. I haven't had that brand I don't think but I get mine at OZ fitness formerly known as 24 hour fitness. I think ostrich meat is one of the highest meats for protein as well.

Good morning all! Wow so after admitting to my huge salt binge on saturday and my massive Water retention.... I got on the scale this morning and I was finally back to normal. Normal right now is 217 and salt is the devil! Leslie~ Wow what a scare! I am glad to see you're doing better now... But congrats on lessening yours meds! Anytime we can do that it's a definite NSV

Well I am one that didn't agree with the whole using the card and stuff but I did send their guest relations something. I asked them to please review the thread. That will be up to the guest relations to review their policy if they wish.
-
I had already sent something to their guest relations alerting them.

In my support group they recommened that you start with mixing your coffee 1/2 and 1/2 until its all decaff.

Because of a 'few meal choices' they shouldn't have been banded? How did we ALL get fat? It was definetly more than a few bad meal choices. The band while it is is a tool isn't a miracle. If you look at the weight loss they are acheiving while making a few bad choices you can see it's just that..... A FEW choices. While you're not the first to state your opinion you did agree that this was your view. I think it will change though once you're banded. While you sit down now to eat a whole piece of chicken breast and you savor every bite remember that in a few short months you will be eating about 1/8 of that amount. So the little bites that you can have here and there are your much needed treats. If you're logging your foods and keeping track then these bandsters have nothing to worry about. I won't ever kick anyone for something they did while they were down. I will only help them back up and support them to get back on track.

Oh yumm! Meatballs and Pork rinds are sounding good now lol Yes, they are protein. Yes, they are not necessarily lean protein... but it's the little things that keep you going when you're banded When I say the little things I mean instead of a whole hershey bar I eat a square LOFL. My kids think it's just the funniest thing in the world to see the mini mom plate!

Everyone has their off days.. If they didn't we wouldn't be here would we? I am sure there's some perfect bandsters out there.. or atleast they claim it.. some of us admit when we fall and start over. Guilt doesn't help. B~2oz of beef with onions and mushroom L~ 2 oz Chicken stir fried with baby corn, mushrooms, brocoli S~ handful of mixed nuts D~ 2 oz crab cake w/2 tbsp creamy spinach and 3 small shrimps

I have mentioned the clothing exchange before and received private messages asking how to find it. It's on the main homepage of LBT and it's considered a group instead of a thread. I don't see why it cannot be a thread.. But either way I am posting the link straight to it here so it will be more visible. Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum - The Clothing X-Change! Once you're on the page on the blue bar it says "join Group" just click that to become a member of it. Let's help our fellow bandsters stay in the right size clothing. We drop sizes so fast it can be very spendy to keep buying new ones.

I didn't sleep in a recliner at all. I use tons of pillows on my bed for looks... So I just propped up a few on my bed behind me and then used a couple for snuggling and between my legs. Really I was super comfy and healed really fast.

Don't forget to use the Clothing exchange thread on the main page! I have clothes to post there. I just have to find the time to put the pictures up.

What weight for regular size clothing??
Brandy~ replied to KarenG.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yeah it's really weird to see how we all have huge size differences and barely fluctuate in weight... strange but interesting  -
You are the patient and you pay him. If you need a fill that should be up to you. He is there for guidance along the way or to keep you healthy and out of harms way.... having a fill should be your choice and wouldn't endanger you so he should do as you ask.

What weight for regular size clothing??
Brandy~ replied to KarenG.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I wear the cupid body suits from walmart and really like them. They are spandex. I have never personally felt spanx ... what are they made of? I worry about having nylong type material since I am so hard on it with my long nails. -
What weight for regular size clothing??
Brandy~ replied to KarenG.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am 5' 2" and weigh 217. I just started wearing 14's  I guess it's all about where you carry the weight? -
Congrats! This is how it happened to me too  I still try to wear my clothes too long.. I usually dont switch to the next size till I have excess material hanging off my butt. My hubby hates it haha. I can't believe that once I lost one size they just started snowballing down. I went from a 22/24 to a 14 in 50 pounds. Just wait a few more weeks and u will probably have a nsv again Those are the best!

Thanks for the Link Hollie ... You look wonderful at your bday party  Congrats on all your sucess

Yeah it was weird cause it's nowhere near TOM then BAM!!! 9lbs. I could tell that it was Water weight though my skin felt like it was being stretched.

Good morning everyone. I have a confession :rolleyes2: Saturday I drank way too many bloody mary's and Margaritas :girl_hug: I don't think I had any Water on saturday either... or atleast not much. I woke up sunday bloated like a balloon! I was 9 pounds heavier I must have had alot of salt... so I started drinking tons of water. I have lost 6 pounds of it but still have 3 more water pounds to get rid of....... I won't be doing that again.
