It's nice to see you back again. That's great to see you're doing well with your weight loss :smile2: You will have great restriction soon and you're already well on your way to your goal.

I am not an emotional eater. I LOVE to cook it's my hobby... I have plenty of friends and a great family so I cook for everyone and yone that I can get to eat it lol. While I am cooking I graze tasting thats where my biggest challenges have been! I can't graze or I have to count those calories.

SICK OF LOOSING WEIGHT! (yes I really mean it)
Brandy~ replied to halloween2124's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This journey is emotional and it can take a toll on you. Were all so seriously obsessed with numbers... That includes me. First you have to congratulate yourself on such a great job with your weight loss. Secondly you need to go find a good clothing exchange at your local support group or just go to a thrift store and get a few nice things for 20 bucks. -
Good Luck! I wish you a speedy recovery

Its a phase and I went through it too. I even made a post about it. I am right back to my old self again But in a good way! I am a total foodie and love to cook. I don't even have to eat it I just love to cook. So now I cook gourmet dinners almost nightly for my family but I only have a small amount and I have changed almost all of the ingredients in everything I use.... Everything whole grains period. So eventually yes I think you will go back to enjoying your food. During a time like this though you have to really make good choices. Be careful not to turn to foods that are quick and easy to consume IE chips.

My plateau is now as well. I think 99% of us experience them. Some are for weeks at a time and others are for months at a time. Lately the last 2 months I will go 3 weeks without losing then dump 3 pound then nothing again for 3 weeks. It's something I wish it were more but if thats how my body wants to do it then thats whats going to happen. I have perfect restriction and I usually make good choices. For now I will just keep doing what I am doing and hope that I wake up lighter one of these days hehe.

My husband does not find me attractive!
Brandy~ replied to noosagirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
First of all you're depressed. I would take care of that first and foremost. Secondly I would work on your weight issues... I would do this for yourself not for him. This is going to lengthen your life and you will lead a healthier lifestyle all the while this will help with your mental health as well. Once you have yourself in order I would then make the decision of what you and your husband should do. The fact that he said that to you leads me to believe that he has his own issues. If his father is like that and he is showing signs of it then most likely he got the behavior from his dad. He might not even see the connection. I think he needs help for himself and for your relationship. Like others said do not make rash decisions while you're depressed that have permanent consequences. Take care of yourself then take care of the relationship. -
Touch my toes and tie my shoes wear a size 14 run a mile at a time Do 1 hour of cardio without dying Find an outfit I like knowing they have my size fit into a plane seat without extender comfortably fit into any rollercoaster I want to ride Keep up with friends and family when we go places Keep up with my teens! Ride my bike to work for a total of 13 miles a day without dying. The list is endless... Everyday I find something new

It's an emotional coaster for sure. Since being banded I feel way more emotional too. Not to be nosey but do you take any depression or anxiety meds? If not they might consider having you try them to see if it evens you back out. I have been thinking about asking the dog about some anxiety medicine since certain situations now almost send me into a panic... once I am there then I lose my temper.

I feel beautiful today! It's all thanks to my spanx body suit tho haha

OH man this is kinda OT for in here but... my favorite candy is Reeses Peanut Butter cups... Last week I tried to sneak one of the single ones. I got it all in then, I got it all out. I now realize that peanut butter doesn't work for me. Glad you enjoyed it though Bea!

Journal for today so far I have to confess cause it's yukky! B- egg and 1 slice of cheese snack- I lost count of the number of cherry tomatoes.. seriously in about 3 hours probably 20. L-PF changes 1/4 cup WHITE rice  and 1/2 cup almond chicken Water - NONE! I am having a much healthier dinner if I stick to plan. Going to make chicken fajitas for the family so I will just have the grilled chicken and maybe a couple veggies. I will have a glass of water by the end of this post and will make sure I get all my water in lol I had t o tell on myself so I would fix it!

Do things really taste differently? How so?
Brandy~ replied to kaytiebugs's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't think the flavor of food changes.. atleast in my case. Since I never feel a hunger pang I don't crave things. I eat alot of different textures that I didn't before and flavors. When I eat I eat much more slowly and chew so much that my mouth takes in the whole flavor of the food.. Before as a volume eater it was as fast as I could shovel and I only had the initial flavors. I can season a piece of chicken now and taste the different flavors within the chicken and herbs. I love it and I really enjoy the flavors now instead of the volumes I could eat before. I call it taste trippin.
