    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

    That sounds about how I was after my last fill in July... I could only take a couple bites and it was uncomfortable. For some really weird reason in the last week my band opened up and to me it feels perfect. I can't explain it but I can eat about 3/4 cup of food now if I eat slowly. Drinking the calories is a big no no we know that. But we all do things that were not suppose to do out of convenience. Really just log for a couple days and see what you need to change. I hate having to be accountable.. But since the band it makes it easier to be accountable lol I think you'll be okay having a piece of pie now and then :biggrin:

    I wish I could say that I have this band thing figured out but I really dont lol. I think the plus for me is that I am not a sweet eater so I don't have to fight the urges to eat ice cream and such. I was a volume eater and usually of crappy fried things and such. I could get a big mac at mcd's supersized combo and eat the whole thing :biggrin: so the restriction for me is the key. I eat meats and cheese as my staple. Carol have you logged your food for a few days recently? I would log it and be sure to be careful to log every bite even if it's just a taste. I would like to see your log. If you want you can post it here like I did and we can all take a look.

    Good Morning everyone! well I am at 211 and have Onderland in sight! Uggh when I am excited I lack patience so I need to step back and calm down haha. I want to get there so bad that I have become obsessed with the numbers. I am hitting the water hard today because I had wine again last night uggh!! Why do I do these things lol So how was everyones weekend?

    Submitting paperwork to bcbs minn. How long

    I have BCBS of Minnesota and I was approved in less than 24 hours from being submitted. Call em :biggrin:
  5. I have unlimited fills. However, my doc also fills you to the max and lets the water sit in your throat till it begins to trickle down. Theres also the issue with the evaporated solution.. Because you can get 5cc and the next appt only have 4cc in the band... So you need the unlimited fills.

    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

    Numbrlgrl~ I haven't tried Muscle Milk but I just might if I dont get more protein in/more calories. Thank you for the suggestion. I have added 2 glasses of milk a day now to see if it helps. I managed to lose 3 pounds this week!! WTH happened? I haven't done anything but eat more... Now I just have to make sure my brain doesnt keep trying to increase my intake of food lol. I think I am at a good spot now. I got about 1100 calories yesterday. Turler~ great to hear you were able to keep up with your hike. I would of never been able to finish a hike a year ago! Congrats :biggrin: Bea~ My goal was to be 75-80 down by the end of the year and I am pretty sure I wont make it either. We are making some valiant attempts though. We should get close to that goal and just congratulate ourselves for doing as well as we did! I joined the end of 2008 challenge to help motivate me. SBG~ I go through plateaus constantly in my journey. Seems I go 3 weeks with no losses then a few weeks with losses. Most recently tho I realized I was only getting 600-800 calories. Once i upp'd the calories to 1000-1100 I began losing. I lost 3 lbs last week.. I am hoping to continue the trend. Just be sure to get all your fluids and protein!

Breakfast: hard boiled egg 1 slice of cheese. 1 hour later 8 oz glass of skim milk Lunch: 6 pieces of turkey lunch meat, 1 slice provolone, 1 tomato slice Snack: handful of Trail Mix Dinner: 1/2 cup ham soup and 2 oz of tri tip Snack: 1 SF jello pudding cup, 1/2 cookie and 8 of milk (all of it over 1 hour period) Water Intake: 72oz Exercise: 30 Minute walk :smile: Anything to add: I ate like crap :frown:

    Me too carol.. about the ready to move on part hah. This has been quite the journey and were only 6 months into it. I can honestly say that this surgery isn't for the people wanting the easy way out as some of us get accused of. I have worked my ass off to lose what I have lost and I am proud of every pound. When this journey is over and I start maintance I am going to look back at this and be like WOW I did all that. I have lost lots of weight in the past but couldn't keep it off obviously so this is quite the accomplishment for me! Each and everyone of us should pat ourselves on the back for all that we have done.

    Morning Carol. Sorry to hear about your daughter :smile: How old is she? Mine is 16 and the drama is just over the top... I wonder if I was that out there or if it's just her haha. Anyway I am sure you would of been fine in the coasters too.. atleast now when you go you for sure won't have to worry since you will have more time to lose :frown: I wish I had a hiking buddy we have alot of wonderful trails here to hike on.

    I agree with Bea. I have only experienced it in the last month and I was so bloated and had to be retaining about 8 pouonds of water no joke.

    I use crystal lite all the time. But I also dilute it to 1 packet for 36 oz or sometimes more. I don't like it real sweet.

    Yeah I know 600 waaaaaaay too low. Luckily this was a day I didn't exercise. Hmm thats a good idea I could always have a glass of milk in the car omw to work and one at night or something. Seems even eating big volumes of food if it's lean meat or good protein its low calorie and end up on the low end. The last thing I wanna do is drink bacon grease! Joking lol 90% of the time my water intake is over 70 oz. I have crystal lite with me everywhere I go.

    Since my last fill in July I have never felt hunger pangs. I eat by the clock now. I dont think I am too tight because I don't PB, I don't every really get food stuck, I could probably take a few large gulps of water before it started backing up on me lol.. I know TMI but I looked at all this too so I could make sure that I was at the right restriction. The veggies I only eat because I worry about nutrition. Maybe I will weed out some of the veggies and then replace with trail mix or more nuts. a meal for me would be about 3 or 4 oz of meat per sitting and then a few veggies just to make myself feel better about nutritional needs. I have a space in the evening where I could add in another snack or something. Normally I have a glass of wine (Chardonnay or Merlot) so I don't eat since I am having liquids. I am doing away with the wine for a week as a test so I could fill this space with a snack. or I might have to fill it with a protein shake Blah.

    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

    Good Morning everyone! Well the scales not moving atm but I am ok with it. I am going to try and change up my food starting today. We should start a thread "whats in your lunch box" haha I have alot of good food packed for me today and I wont go near the break room and avoid the machines lol. I also normally have a glass of wine while I watch tv before bed. I am going to eliminate it for a week and see if it makes a difference. I don't normally eat lunch meat but the oscar meyer deli fresh is only 45 calories and 8 grams protein.. I thought that was pretty good. So for a snack today I brought some of that and a slice of provolone.
