Wow Ara that's great! -
Are there foods you can't eat anymore?
Brandy~ replied to dietpeach's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can pretty much eat anything in extremely small amounts. I can eat 1/2 a piece of toast if I chew well and eat slow. I can get in 1/2 a slice of pizza if it's just 1 topping, I eat 2 oz of beef, 2 oz of chicken at a time. So no I really can eat it all. That doesn't mean I want to though. I get bored of chewing and usually opt for less doughy things so I don't have to work so hard to eat lol. -
I would just go see a dermatologist to find out what could be irritating it.

Good Monday Morning to all! I had an awesome weekend. I actually got to put the 'im losing weight' mentality to the side and have a blast this weekend. We went to our indian casino about 1.5 hours from here and stayed in the hotel. I won 1,000 playing Bingo so that paid for the weekend! I think that I might be a little tight. I am not uncomfortable so I am going to try and work through it for a couple weeks. I am one of those that loosen up so I will try to wait it out. I am not pb'ing or anything but if I take a drink I can feel it sit at the top of the band then trickle through. I have to chew everything to liquification or I would PB. I just got the fill on Thursday so it's not panic time yet. If it tightens up anymore I will go in for slight unfill. We walked all over at the casino this weekend so that was my exercise. Plus my husband and I thought it would be fun to race up the stairs each time we went to our room... I didn't win but I kept up.. I was very proud! We were staying on the 4th floor. I am sure security got a good laugh out of us a few times.

Some people just say the stupidest things. If she is a repeat offender of rude comments then I would file a complaint. Otherwise I just let idiot remarks roll off of me. That always makes you the bigger person.

Mom that's awesome! Congrats Say Hello to sipping Water again! Good morning all! For those that didn't catch it the first time check out http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f17/what-have-you-lost-44347/ this threads has a list of things and what they weigh. I have lost an ELEPHANTS PENIS no joke.. Jeez I bet their backs hurt alot Sounds like the chat room here now jk On a serious note i do have a question and will probably spend time looking it up today. It's not secret that I like to have a glass of wine. Well even knowing the horrible amount of salt and calories in a margarita I have tired to have them a few times at my favorite restaurant... What happens immediately after taking the first sip its like the band instantly tightens up. Sometimes I can have the glass and sometimes it makes me slime and I have to put it away. Even when I was open enough and was eating breads and stuff it would instantly lock me up.. Sounds weird but I have experimented a few times to see if it was the time of day the situation the drink etc. It seems to me most alcohols. Any idea?

I have lost 60 lbs/27 kg/4.3 stones = an elephant's penis

Oh yummm Hot tomato soup with shredded cheese.. Well until today Bea I was looser than I wanted to be because at TOM I was soooo tight it was a liquid diet for most of it.. So now that I have another fill in me I am hoping it wont doom me and have to have an unfill. You're a trooper working through it like that. What about some SF hot cocoa as a treat or something. You couldn't possibly be getting in all your calories and such being that tight. I would treat yourself to something like that.

Wow I can't believe it was 6 months ago I started this thread! Look at me now 6 months 60 pounds... I remember how excited I was to begin this journey  Fun to see old threads come to life. -
I wonder if it is ketosis.. That will set off smells from places you didn't even know you had lol. I don't mean to lol at you I am just thinking of how I felt and smelled once I hit ketosis..

Ok so I posted pics in the strut my stuff avenger thread. I was really please with the progress... Sometimes it takes comparing it to see how well you're doing! When I got in there I wasn't going to have a fill... I was just going for 6 month post op. Once we got to talking I had lost 9 pounds in 10 weeks so... Somehow I let him talk me into another .25 cc's lol. From all the posts I have read alot of people have to talk their doc into giving them the fill haha. Anyway I have had 4 fills now and am at 2.75 CC / 4.0 CC Band. I feel fine though with this fill so far. I walked out and grabbed 12 oz of chicken broth and have drank all that and now starting in on some water. I have some very mushy potatoe soup I might try to have. My docs pretty easy going on the foods you can have after fills. I hope this fill does a kick start on the weight we will see. Another thing that suprised me was I thought I was 267 at time of surgery but I wasn't  I was 271!! I am now 211 so that's 60 on the dot! So 6 month anniversary I pulled out 60 lbs lost. Now another 40 to make my 100 by 1 year.

6 Month Post op

I don't have a personal one. I run to my ipod with lots of 80's music, lots of heavy metal, and a few pop songs. However this article is a good one Businesswoman is dancing to a new, more healthful tune - USATODAY.com I have read alot about this lady and her songs. I haven't purchased them but if someone has let me know
-
I haven't had Rny and I don't plan on taking the vitamin regimen that they do as it's not really necessary. I get the same nutrition as the next person. I have had tons of labs done and I am just fine
-
Wow Gwenn I am so very sorry to hear all that's going on in your life  Everything sure seems to hit at once doesn't it. I hope for the best with you uncle and your family. Good morning everyone! Tomorrow is my 6 month anniversary so today I go in for my appt. I didn't get my labs done like I was suppose to so I am sure I will hear about it from the doc. They are going to ask me if I want a fill so I have to decide if I want to risk being too tight or risk loosening up more and not being able to get back in to see him till december..... Uggh.

Anyone Just Eat To Survive & Not For Enjoyment
Brandy~ replied to speck's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I eat to live and cook for a hobby... Thats it. The only thing I crave is salt lol -
I have the costco brand and also the flintstone. Since I break my Vitamins up and take 1/2 in the morning 1/2 at night the costco ones go down just fine.
-
Thats awesome Mari! You beat me cause I was 267 but stuck at 211! Wtg keep up the good work.

Good morning all. I am severly stressed out this week.. I have a 16 year old need I say more? Well my doctor is going to shoot me because tomorrow I have my 6 month post op and I was suppose to have went to have my labs done 2 weeks ago and you have to fast 12 hours for them. Well I haven't been able to get any time off work to go and do it and I cannot go all day without food I get light headed and nauseaus. So what do you do? I tried calling to reschedule my 6 month post op and was told he was booked until december because his partner is leaving the practice and they haven't filled his spot LOL!!! Uggh so I am going tomorrow and will probably just get ripped a new one for not getting it done Anyway I think if we could more avengers to work on their dailyplates that would be awesome! I know a group of us are but there's alot more avengers out there that lurk around and watch the chit chat....JOIN US PEOPLE! I have been logging my food the last couple days and will try to keep it up... However, I can tell you I never log on weekends because I try to stay as far from computers as possible. I am happy to announce that all of this week I have stuck to my word though and haven't had my nightly wine... Hopefully those calories will add up quickly and show a loss. Tonight is step class. If I do not have to deal with an unruly teen I will be going for atleast 30 minutes and then doing some treadmill stuff. I have tried the ellipitical machine and I lack some severe coordination for that thing. I don't think I will get back on one if anyone else is in the gym haha. Oops sorry for the long post.

Spam away I am enjoying the conversations lol

Leslie teaching Zumba! I would fly all the way to Georgia to see that  Then I would visit family since I am from Mississippi... But the food omg I would gain it all back. No it's fun Carol I like to keep the threads alive with stimulating conversations. You might wanna avoid the chat room today though... They are having other forms of stimulating conversations haha.. Sorry inside joke to Leslie.
-
haha no you're right carol... seriously I cannot imagine who could have time for that.. well anyone that has a schedule like me anyway. I have to stretch my whole schedule to do it a few times a week. That reminds me of something funny. I met with my step aerobics teacher last night. When I met her she was all nice and seemed quite and down to earth. After about 2 minutes into the workout I swear the lady turned into the hulk! She started making grunting noises and getting all jazzed like her adrenaline was going something fierce. She would scream into her mic on her head lol Then she sang along with all the songs. I think thats what happens when you spend too much time in the gym LOFL Anyway my daily schedule is like this... Get up at 4:30 be at work by 530-6 (I have a small amount of flexibility) I get off work between 5-6 pm (I work 10-12 hours a day) Get home cook dinner done around 7-730 I watch about 1 to 1.5 hours of Tivo and am in bed by 9 LOL Ok where do I fit in 1 hour a day? Oh I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, a husband, and a house Oh and DH wants to have another kid! OMG shoot me now!
-
I can do 1 hour about 3-4 times a week if I am being honest lol on a great week I will do 3 days vigorous exercise then 2 days of weights or something else. I don't do weights for an hour tho. Last night I did 30 minutes of step aerobics (sweated my butt off) then about 25 minutes on the treadmill walking 2.8-3.2 Mph.
