    Asparagus RollUps

That sounds very yummy! Thats how I make sandwiches now since I don't eat bread. I just never thought to put an asparagus in it. I will have to try it. I bet the chives give it a little tang too.

    Protein shakes - Yuck!

I would just go buy a couple samples of different Protein powders or shakes and pick the one you like best... Don't buy a huge supply because all of them are different. Also theres unjury which is tasteless.
  6. Hello and Welcome to LBT!!! Congratulations about your surgery tomorrow. You will do great I am sure. I wish you a very speedy recovery and hope to see you back on here soon!

That's awesome CC! I hope to report something soon too. Cubs- My band is affectived negatively by salt. I can tell right away when I am eating that it is hitting me wrong.
  8. My thoughts go out to her family. As with all surgeries there are risks. Because of the article there isn't a reason for anyone to panic. We are given the risks before the procedure and it's very sad that sometimes things do go wrong. All it took was one tiny spore of bacteria to be present when she was stitched up after surgery. I assume that you would detect this infection through pain and soreness... most of the times the infection causes the skin on the outside to become red and hot to the touch. This isn't true for all situation but I can see since she was only 3 weeks out how this could of been missed. She may have assumed it was just post op healing pain. I wish the best for all her family this holiday season.

    Problems with ground beef?

I can't eat hamburger patties.. Once in a while I can get some sloppy joe mix down. I think its only because of the sauce makes it slide easier. If I just try to eat seasoned beef no way. I can eat steak though
  10. Please update me to my ticker :tongue2:

    Only water for 5 days?

I always say follow doctors advice.... This is pretty crazy to me though. You need nourishment for many reasons. I would call the office to confirm their guidelines.

    Liquid diet

If he is requiring a liquid diet then I would just buy an array of different Protein shakes so you can mix it up. Thankfully you only have 5 days left. If he is ok with it then you might have a couple shakes and then a baked or broiled chicken breast for dinner. The chicken with boost your protein. Only do what the doc recommends though please.

Yes Beastbron we have our ups and downs. If you read back through this thread you will see were all plateauing at different points. My losses have been hit or miss since about 35lbs lost. I lose a pound here and there but not steadily. Although it's not the great loss I would love to have seen I just look at it as if we all keep plugging along we will get there. We are running a marathon not a race.. in the end we will all finish at different times.

Hey Mom. I am sorry to hear about your depression :cursing: I know it will get better... The weather sure doesn't help... well atleast for me it makes things worse. My weight loss is so sparatic now I couldn't give any pointers other than work out more than I do.. which right now is zero. Seems like with all the holidays and the teenage drama stress my daughter is giving me I don't have alot of time. I wonder if all the cooking and decorating the house counts as exercise? LOL I look for anything so I can say oh I did this or that! But you're doing fine and the only way to succeed is to work through the low points. Don't give up you will get there :scared2:
  20. I learned from a trainer that if you do what you mentioned above... Exercise during commercials you can burn 300 calories an hour. Each time a commercial comes on do jumping jacks. By the end of a 1 hr program they really add up!

Hey Cubs! You're doing super with your weight loss. What have you been doing to keep it going so well since surgery? Do you exercise or log food?
  23. I only drink them on the rocks no straw (to avoid gulps of air) No other flavors just regular. I had a strawberry daquiri this weekend blended went down just fine lol Go figure! Oh then I Pb'd on 2 bites of chocolate ice cream. Bleh
  24. I am alright with eliminating foods that do not go down well. I understand the bread thing and I am ok with it. I could probably eat 1/2 a slice if its toasted and I go really slow.. But there is something in chocolate milk and Margaritas that doesn't agree with me. Yes I know im not suppose to have margaritas but I do have the occasional drink. I lose weight just fine so I am not gonna beat myself up about it. What is the link between margarita and chocolate milk though? I drink lots of milk everyday sometimes up to 16-24 oz of non fat for Protein and it's low calorie. It feels like the second I take a drink of either one my throat tightens and it seals off my stomach.. I slime then PB even if its just a sip or 2 of either one. I have put this on the not touching again list lol. Anyone else have foods that should go down easy that doesnt?

    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

CC- Congrats on your losses so far. I am semi stalled... well I am in the random drop phase right now lol. I will lose 2 pounds one week then nothing the next then 1 etc on and on. I can't complain for how lazy I have been though lately. I too do house cleaning as an activity. If I have 5 things to take up stairs I will take 1 at a time so I have to go up 5 flights of stairs. Carol- It's frustrating I know as we all have come to the point where it slows down and becomes more sporadic. We will all just hang in there together and reach our goals. Slower than some but that's ok. Luckily I have had this forum to vent  DSK- Oh man you have had a signifigant weight loss in such a short amount of time. I applaud you and keep up the great work! I will give an update even though I am already getting long winded... I did well over the holiday. I used to be a volume eater so holidays were horrible for me. I hate sweets thank god so I cut up my ham very tiny and mixed it in with cranberry sauce. Once I was able to get down about 2 oz of this I went back and had 2 tablespoons of stuffing (Very over cooked so it would go down) 1/2 a deviled egg, 3 olives, 1 baby carrot and a pea pod LOL doesn't sound like a lot but that's huge for me in one sitting. It had to be the most enjoyable holiday I have had... Because I wasn't obsessed with how much food I could get in and how soon I would be able to go back for 2nds! I didn't eat again till the next morning. I drank my weight in wine though I think Jk! But I did have a few glasses. I hope everyone elses holiday experience was great
