Hello and welcome to LBT! -
You should just slouch and put a couple rolls of quarters in your pocket :glare: Layer your clothes too. Atleast I would.

Vegas Mom trying to decide if LB is right. Worried about complications.
Brandy~ replied to tehchaymommy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
If you bring any complications that you have had in the past to light with the surgeons ahead of time they will be equipped with the proper knowledge to safely perform the procedure. I took into account how fast I was heading for death from morbid obesity. I was 271... Someone would of had to tell my 2 kids in probably 10 years or so that mommy died from obesity and heart disease.. I chose surgery and I couldn't be happier. Now I can play softball and volleyball with my 16 year old daughter and keep up. I am the cool mom on the block that goes out to the field and plays in their games. I wouldn't trade it for the world now. -
Welcome back! I wish you the best of luck in getting the approval.

New, excited, and a little scared!
Brandy~ replied to HollyRnOh's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I ended up with 2 bottles of Loritab elixir still intact. I had very little pain. I just felt like I had over exerted myself exercising for a day or 2 then I was fine. -
Same here. I wear 12's but they are getting too loose. I weigh 181... I just can't break into the 170's lol. I think my body is adjusting to the huge loss I hope and that once things settle back in that they will get going again. I wont panic quite yet... 90lbs is ALOT to lose and I am so grateful for all of it so far. :glare:

We should talk... I think I am from your DH family.. My lordy my family is so twisted and messed up when it comes to religions (I call it cults to them) and the deception is unreal. I don't think anyone in my family could tell the truth even if god himself showed up and asked them the question. I know my grandmother was married 9 times and I don't even know who my real grandfather was. Then both of my parents followed the same trend and now have been married 4 times each. I have multiple siblings that I know are out there but don't really know and none of my parents keep in touch with them. Ya, our families hella close. Anyone wonder why I chose to make my inlaws my real family and never speak to my own family? LOL Nope I don't have issues... I used to till I stopped talking to them lol

I plan to have lipo and tummy tuck next year. I am not sure if it's location will interfere with those plans.. If so I might have to have it moved.

My doctor had a drawing or picture of the body and during surgery he marked on the drawing the place where he put the port including the part I said to the right and down 2 inches. He has me lay on my back on the table and has be lift both of my legs slightly off the table as if I am doing an exercise. This causes the abs to work and push the port closer to the surface and makes it easier for him to find. He has never missed my port when doing fills.
-
Gloucester I wont ream you for it. I agree. I never took time off for the doctor appts and such I made sure those didn't interfere with work. However, the part I couldn't avoid was being off after having the baby... I didn't get paid for that time though so I think it was a fair trade.

I had the weirdest dream last night... I have no idea why but I had the most hideous pants that I wanted so bad in my dream but I couldn't find a shirt that I liked with it. I seriously woke up from the dream 3 times and resumed the same dream each time I went back to sleep. I remember thinking in my dream wake up you retard you're dreaming lol. On another note... I totally love food porn tv. I don't subscribe to regular magazines either I only get foodie stuff in the mail. I am not the worlds best chef obviously but I have fun with it! The hard part at my house is out of 4 I am the only one that will eat fish or seafood

Just felt like really sore muscles.. Nothing special. I was out of it most of day of my surgery. No I didn't feel like passing out. Getting up and walking the first time was only hard because I was so stiff from being in the same position so long before getting up.
-
My port isnt under the incision as most would think. Mine is to my right of it and down about 2 inches. I wasn't able to feel it before but since about 75lbs lost I can feel it if I push on it.

Who does 1/4 cup of food work for?
Brandy~ replied to Mrs_Mauricio's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Some get down to 1/4 cup like myself and others do not. Theres some people that at their sweet spot they eat 3/4 cup of food. It also depends on the type of food you're consuming. Example. For Breakfast today I had a mushroom/veggie burger patty by good starts slightly under 2 oz. I was stuffed to the gills. Snack 3 hours later was 14 almonds... STUFFED again. 3 hours later lunch was 1/4 cup of Soup. I am still stuffed and it's 2 hours since lunch. I am good till dinner. It took me 4 fills to get to this point and it was about 6 months post op. -
Heartfire- I think we have a storm coming weds or thursday too... Not sure. But it's weird to warm up 40degrees in just a day. I will take it tho! I am making Beef Wellington tonight. I am drooling! Hmm I know it's not the recipe thread but FYI I am looking for a good recipe with Capers in it

Holy crap... $20 every 2 weeks? I think thats the amount of change in my couch.
-
Hey I eat food for 4 days too... when I am too lazy to come up with something else or I just don't wanna waste the food lol.
-
Glouc it's because we are hard workers. I do the exact same thing for my coworkers.. I just figure Karma comes back to bite them in the ass in ways I may never see... But when I do see it then it's kinda bitter sweet hehe

I think we traded the weather Lulu. It's a nice sunny 74 here in Oregon today. Freaking go figure. I have been scraping ice off my car lately and barely getting into the 40's WTH is going on.

I drink cheladas now and then.. I cant chug it but I can sip it.. I have to get up and move around sometimes if there's pressure. It's not something you would want to do often but I do it to curb the craving I get for it now and then.

I have had 2 children and then a tubal surgery when I was younger. My daughter is almost 17 and my son is 13. We are also considering a reversal with the intentions of having a baby (hopefully) in the next 3-5 years. That would put me around 38. I worry about the increased risk too. I will just make sure to do my best to be healthy before and during to give our baby the best chances.
-
At my max restriction I can eat about 1/2 cup or the equivalent of a good start veggie pattie with a slice of cheese on it (thats what I just finished) I cannot feel hunger pangs anymore I just feel weak when I need to eat so I would say its about 4-5 hours between meals.

I am a few days late to your post... But congratulations that is awesome. It's nice to see that you're so active! Keep up the great work.
