So i am in no way a good looking gal BUT...........I am LOVING all this male attention i'm getting since my weight loss so far. it makes me feel so awesome. of course...i got married in june...so it's not like i can act on anything, but its good to notice the looks and stuff anyway! :tongue2:
-
well, welcome and congrats on ur surgery date! i hope everything goes great! expect some discomfort the first few days, but after the first week you'll be fine. keep us updated on your progress!
-
u just got banded? RELAX! the weight will come off. ur priority right now is healing, not weight loss. 23 lbs is great! see if you feel anything different after your fill, but you probably wont (most people don't feel a difference after just one fill, and thats normal!) this takes time...it's a lifelong journey. you will do just fine! keep us updated! :tongue2:

my asthma that is. i had it really bad pre-op and it went away for a while, but now it's back. i'm using my inhaler regularly again....gggrrr....but other than that, everything else is good. i get weighed on the 22nd, so i will post my update soon!
-
well u might be in ur plateau. try changing ur eating habits a little...different foods and amounts. incorporate a little more exercise. it happens to everyone on any weight loss journey. be patient...it will pass. then, when i hit mine, u can help me through it! :wink2: also....r u close to goal? i know the closer u get, the harder it's supposed to be and the slower it comes off. good luck hun!

ya, i had asthma pre-op pretty bad, and then it went away post op, but just the last month or two it's come back. oh well....all of my other conditions are gone! yea!

Just what I needed to hear! It brought me to tears! -
Wow! What a great message! Very motivating and thought provoking!

I'm actually going to the gym this morning...I can't believe it! But I know it will make me feel better because I will have some pumpkin pie today! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :grouphug:

So..... my willpower is gone. I'm not listening to my band at all....I keep making the stupid decision to "eat beyond my band" and we all know what that means! I've fallen off the wagon, and now its a mile ahead of me! I hate this feeling! I was hoping to never feel this way again after the band! How do I get back to my original motivation of actually listening to my band and eating what I'm supposed to? I need help! Thank you!

How much weight training should we be doing? I'm shooting for 2 times a week (along with my cardio of course). Does that sound about right? Also, it's better with low weight, high reps for toning right? I don't want to get all muscular! Thanks everyone!

My husband and I went to TGI Friday's for lunch today...and not only did I eat something healthy (chicken and broccoli, and only ate ONE piece of chicken and brought the other one home for dinner) but I resisted having a bite of dessert my husband ordered. Yea, I feel good. Also, I did 35 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weight training bright and early this morning! Good band day! :rolleyes2:

Is anyone else kinda nervous about Thanksgiving and Christmas? This is my first holiday season as a bandster, so I'm kinda scared. Any advice? Thanks!
-
well u obviously need to get unfilled. for some reason, there is too much restriction with 2 cc's. give ur body time to relax after ur pregnancy. good luck! be patient!
-
as weird as it sounds....be sure you're eating ENOUGH calories. If you're burning too many, you're body will go into starvation mode. Don't overdo it! Plateus never last....they can last up to a year though, so just be patient. It will pass. Good luck, and when I hit mine (which is soon I'm sure!), you can help me. :rolleyes2:

i have been very stressed lately, and so i have not been making the best food choices, and eating more than i should. my band is trying to tell me to stop, but i choose not to listen. someone help get me back on track and back to the right mindset. i want to hit the 100 lb mark by the end of the year!

I hear about people stretching out their pouch. What does that feel like and how do they do it? Does the band work after you've done it? Thanks!

How much so far??

I was banded March 14th and have lost 90.5 lbs. -
I weighed in a couple days ago at my surgeon's office. I have lost 90.5 now! And I finally hit Onederland! I started at 285 and now I'm 194! Starting size was 26/28 pants, and now I'm in a 16, and yesterday fit into a size 14! I don't have too much more to go! Yea! I hope to be down 100lbs by the end of the year...wish me luck!

Well, it sounds like you still have 2 more cc's left until your full. You might need those last 2 to get restriction...the smallest amounts can make all the difference in the world. So go ahead and get a fill, and see what happens. You have lost weight, so that's great! Good for you!
