    supplements/crossfit

So most of us take a multi Vitamin along with our b complex and Iron. Does anyone take pre or post workout supplement? What do You like about It? I started taking Prosculpt for my pre workout and its ok. It gives me a little boost but goes away soon after my workout. Then I mix my bcaas with my Protein shake afterwards. Alot of fitness people back up taking supplements but I wondered how many people actually take them Also, I was thinking about joining a crossfit gym. They are really expensive but train hard. Any ladies here do crossfit and if so did you struggle? I have had episodes of nausea and light headedness before working out.
  2. Ladies, I posted this in our girls room if you want to answer it there. Besides the basic supplement we are supposed to take from our surgery does anyone else take pre or post workout supplement? I take prosculpt and it has 200mg of caffeine so I get a boost for an hour or so but with no crash. I mix my ncaa powder with my Protein shake afterwards. Then go about my day. Anybody else take extra supplement? What do you take? Most powders are clumpy and nasty but I dont want to take any more pills! Also, I was looking into crossfit but kinda scared. Crossfit is no joke but they kick your butt in the crossfit gyms. It is expensive as well to join. Is anyone into crossfit? When did you start after your surgery? I have episodes working out were I got light headed and nausea but it doesn't happen that often anymore.

  5. I have been doing the same thing these last couple of months. Stress was the cause for me. I would just eat all the time. Not large amounts but all day long. I would eat fast food, ice cream whatever sweets I wanted and here I am. I stopped losing weight and my clothes are getting tighter. So I joined here. I am ready to get back in the game. I started tracking my intake and exercise with my fitness pal. You can barcode scan everything! Once you write down what and how much youre eating then You May see it in a different light. You can have those bad foods just in moderation. I know exactly how you feel but only you can pull yourself out of it. You need to find some positive people in your life or go join a new group of people that enjoy the same things as you. Make small goals like today instead of having toast (which is my fav things) with peanut butter I'm going to have an Apple with pb. If you set yourself up with small goals then you'll build yourself back up to bigger ones.

    Swimming post-op

My surgeon wanted me working out as soon as I could after surgery as long as I didn't push myself. The only restriction I had was lifting heavy weights at the gym. If he has cleared you then go for it!!
  7. I had my sleeve at 175 at 5'3 so I was considered obese. I also had a lot of health issues. Don't feel bad for wanting to change your life. Must people are a bit heavier then us but you don't need to look at the numbers. Having weight loss surgery is a life changing event no matter if your 300lbs or 175. We all go through the same struggles when it comes to losing weight. I'm proud to have my sleeve done and I would do it again. If Your doctor says he is fine with doing it then go for it. It's actually harder for our weight group to lose weight because we don't have a lot to lose. Eventually your body will stop losing weight. Surgery is just a tool because you still have to get out there and exercise like everyone else. Good luck!

    November 2nd buddy wanted

I had mine in November of last year so coming up on a year
  9. I am about to hit my one year mark in a few months and was curious to see how much everyone eats at this point. I am also proud to say that I no longer have high blood pressure anymore at the age of 26..whoohoooo Are you still eating every two hours? How much are you eating in a setting? How much can you drink in a setting? Some people count calories at this point but my doctor doesn't want me to worry about that. Any bad habits come back? I, schedule myself to eat every two hours. It's easy for me because I stay home. I can drink about 3/4 of a cup at a time which is probably too much. If I'm on the go I always carry a bottle of Water and some nuts/apples so I don't get too hungry. My worst habit is bored eating and probably taking big bites. I have only gotten sick once since my surgery and it was my own fault for stuffing too much food at once too quickly.

    1yr out patients

Thank you! No more bp meds! Do you actually weigh your food or just measure out the 1/2 of cup? Because 4oz of something looks different then 1/2c.

KevLev I emailed that email but haven't got a response. Have you sent it yet?
  13. I am 7months out and I have to say that I have lost motivation. I literally fell off the wagon for 6months but I have stayed in a comfortable weight range. I lost 30lbs and loved my body even though my goal was 40lbs. I see myself doing the bad habits I was doing before the surgery i.e.: bored eating, over eating, snacking a lot with bad foods. I guess I fell off the wagon because I lost that post op energy. After my surgery I felt amazing then all of a sudden I lost it. I don't know if it was stress or I was amazed at how good I looked. I haven't gone off my docs plan in so long that I've forgot how to eat. I eat a lot of Protein and nuts and know that he wants me to eat 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup every two hours but I'm eating way more than that. I probably eat 3/4 of a cup to a cup of food every two hours. Any suggestions on how to lower my food intake without feeling hungry? Has anyone else fell off the wagon but then picked themselves up? I also cancelled my gym membership because I never went but I am trying Kayla intese workout plan now since I can do it at home. Has anyone tried joining a cross fit gym? Has anyone ever gone to a gastric sleeve support group? I just moved so I don't really have any friends here to work out with which sucks! Does this sound about right? Here is what I can remember my doc telling me to do: 60g protein a day 64 Fluid oz 1/4-1/3 cup every two hours Veggies don't do any good Work out at least 4-5 times a day

Need support and 7months post op

Yes, I got the sleeve to lose weight and help my overall health issues. 40lbs was my goal but if I lost more then I would be happy. I was in the army and we had to workout every day and I never lost weight and if I did I would gain it back. Does everyone eat per 1/3 cup every two hours or do you measure it by oz? Is there a certain time of day everyone stops eating? I usually stay up late hours for school purposes. So when I stay up late I get hungry.

Need support and 7months post op

I stuck to the eating plan for a month to a tee then afterwards I starting eating a little bit everything but I worked out 6 day a week. Working out I think helped me lose the most weight. I am 10lbs away from my goal. I only needed to lose 40lbs total. Does anybody still journal their intake and exercise? I tried googling a chart but couldn't find one. I would love to "restart" I just don't know how.
