  1. How do you deal with people treating you better after you start really losing weight? I am down 30 pounds. I am starting to feel weird about how people are nicer and listen more.

    I only had it happen once. I ate beanito chips (chips made out of beans). Mistake. I threw up a white slime. I don't know why it was white, but it was gross and acidic. I ate too fast, which I find that I have that issue. I have to be careful and mindful of how fast I eat. It's just a lifelong habit, which is hard to break.

    Where are my August Sleevers?

    Down 30 pounds. Surgery on 8/17. Lost 3 sizes and can start to wear non-plus sized clothes. Awesome!
  6. Have not lost dramatic weight like I expected. I am only a week out. I try to exercise. After work and having to sit up all day (I also had a hiatal hernia repair), I am utterly exhausted. I am so tired that people keep asking me if I am ok. So what is reasonable loss? Are my expectations too high? How can I boost my energy and mental snap? I have a very brainy job that requires concentration. I am struggling to maintain, and I am slower. This will not work. I will appreciate any help or tricks you guys can provide. The only thing I have heard that might work is to carry honey around. Yes? No? THANKS!!!

    Quick Question I had a weird experience with cake. I made Better than Sex Cake for work. People love it. I had some left over and took it home. I ate it the next day, a couple bites. I got dizzy and couldn't stand. I laid down and fell asleep for more than an hour. What the hell was that? I woke up with a headache. Was that literally a sugar coma or dumping syndrome? Needless to say, I got rid of the cake. Otherwise, I am doing good. HW 282 SW 274 CW 246. Can anyone tell me what would be good to mix with and get the taste out of the Whey Liquid Protein (42g)? The taste is getting on my nerves. I, for whatever reason, can't abide protein drinks right now. I do like Mootopia. That is yummy. The vanilla especially.

    Are you taking all of your vitamins? Do you need b12 or d3? I was having some blues myself, but I increased both and I feel a whole lot better.

    So boo sugar bear dumpling. Nothing counts around your period. That's just life law, and nothing to do with bariatric surgery. Hormones suck. Damn you, Eve. Lol

    How long?

    I did clear liquids for a week then full liquids for a week. Now I am in puréed stage for another week (3 total) and then solid foods. So far eggs were the only thing that hurt to eat.

    That doesn't sound like enough calories to support such heavy exercise.

    Try protein gel? I add the whey protein 42 gram syrup to Gatorade and drink one everyday. It does not taste the best every, but you get used to it. I found this at Walmart.

  14. Hi. I am almost a month out and I am having energy issues. By the end of the day, I am exhausted. It has, to be fair gotten better, but i just don't know how to better manage my food or Vitamins to get to somewhat normal energy levels. I have lost about 20 pounds from the day of surgery ( including post surgery weight gain ). I look different and my clothes are falling off of me. I feel like I can't enjoy the new me quite as much as I would have thought. The nutritionist told me to eat more and workout less ( which is a dream to hear ), but I don't feel right and my work is starting to suffer due to lack of interest and motivation. I feel bored, and I don't know why. I assume that it's due to lack of energy and lack of mental clarity. Any suggestions on foods that may help pick me up?
  15. I find that it is hard to eat and drink at the same time. I can't get enough calories from food.

    Mine likes to tell me the stories of its people. Lol! It's only weird when I'm at work
  18. My doctor told me to get up to 1200 calories and I would lose more weight. She said my body was in starvation mode and wanted to hold onto the fat because it thinks I'll need it to survive. Try and see if adding a few more calories helps.
  19. I thought that keeping protein levels up will help prevent hair loss.
  20. I have wanted toast, which is not actually something that I would eat on a regular basis. Random. I am sure it's all in my head.
  21. If you get light & fit Greek yogurt, it has 18 grams protein per serving (1 cup). The protein should be on the nutrition label.

    Time off of work?

    I took a week off. I didn't have pain, but sitting upright was hard. You really don't eat enough calories to use too much of your brain. There is no energy. I wish I had taken two weeks cause I ended up having to take a sick day the next week.
  23. Thank you for all the encouragement! When I went back for the 10 day, they told me I was not eating enough calories and that my body was in starvation mode. You guys were right that I needed to chill out and wait. Thanks for the reality check.
