Hi! I'm just 3 days post surgery, but I'm feeling great!

I've struggled with my weight for many years. After I quit smoking 10 yrs ago I gained roughly 50lbs over the next 5 years. I also had major stressors going on in my life. I bought my first home and within days my daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Being an emotional eater did not help!

I started debating about weight loss surgery roughly 4years ago. I attended the seminar and then "chickened out". I wonder if my life would be different had I stayed strong and had the surgery. Two years ago, at the age of 39, I had a heart attack. Genetics played a part, but the biggest factor was my weight. Since the heart attack I've yo-yo'd with 20lbs, but haven't kept it off. I also had a stint put in last year.

My daughter is now in college and struggles with weight and keeping her blood sugars level. I want her to live a healthier life and hope I can be here to inspire and help her.
