Hi. My name is Denni. I'm a 58 year old woman. I found Bariatric Pal by researching everything I could about the vertical sleeve gastrectomy.
I was a thin child and had anorexia/bulimia as a young adult. In my early 30's I began to gain weight and ended up on the opposite end of the "weight continuum." Now I'm 5'3" and 232 pounds with various comorbidities. I've begun weight loss journeys of all sorts more times than I can count. In the beginning they are successful. About 35 pounds are lost, then a seemingly endless plateau takes hold and I lose hope and gain all the weight back plus more. After reading hundreds of testimonials, I believe that VSG will give me the added boost needed to succeed on a long term basis. I just retired last year and I want to choose health. So, I'm at the beginning of this NEW weight loss journey. I'm having my VSG at Hospital Mi Doctor in Tijuana on September 29th of this year. I'm excited and scared. Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela is my lead surgeon. It'd be great to hear from others who have already taken this step. Is there anyone else out there from Eugene, Oregon? Is there anyone else traveling to Tijuana for surgery on 9/29?
