I'm so worried guys. So my doctor office called and they're worried about my ins approval. Out of my 5 years of required weights , there has been 1 year that I was under the BMI of 35 . I have diabetes, sleep apnea and other como. She wanted to prepare me for worse. Has anyone experienced this situation ? Any approvals or denials? I have did everything else and now this....

So I found a weight from another physician which I totally forgot about, hopefully this one works. Lol crossing my fingers!

I can so relate. I'm going through the process and found out I have diabetes. I go get my sleep apnea results tomorrow (mixed emotions ) ! Hang in there friend, you 're not alone. -

I'm new too. I just completed my sleep study last night. Awaiting to hear from my surgeon office to start scheduling appts with psych , Nut, and surgeon. I haven't had my Endo yet, but I know that's next on the check list! -
I have no clue on how this sleep study will go tonight! Pray for me guys!

Today was my first visit! I have to take sleep apnea test next week. No required 6 month supervised diet required. I gave my coordinator all of my weight from the last 5 years! Awaiting results from sleep test......... -
So my dr visit went well. BMI 39.9 (really). I have to take my sleep apnea test next week, along with blood work to test for diabetes??? UHC requires 2 comorbities under a bmi of 40. My cw 225 height 5'3 to be exact from today visit. Now, just waiting on these test results. Thks everyone

I hope I do not have any complications with them. I called and verified 3x if I needed a 6 mos supervised diet and they stated no as long as I have 5 years of weight record . I have 3 from my primary doctor , 1 from my Ob gyn and 2 from a previous family physician . I hope they will accept them. I also got records from enrollment at the ymca and Shapes ( gym membership) My bmi is 40 .2 . Did you have to take a sleep apnea test?

Hi I am new as well. I just had my visit with Primary Doctor and he is on my side regarding having this surgery. I have my initial consultation with my surgeon sept 2. In the mean while, I have to get a endoscopy, ultrasound on my gallbladder , knee xray , and sleep apnea testing. My bmi is 39.7 .. I would love to continue to correspond with you guys as well. I'm just starting my Gastric Sleeve Process. I have a my Consultation Sept 2nd. I also have UHC Choice Plus. @ Jenn have you received any confirmation or approval from your insurance? I had to get 5 years of weights and now I'm curious of the 6 month waiting pd ?? I wish you well, and keep in touch
