I am 60 years old and widowed 2 years ago. I have struggled with weight my entire life. I have been through the laughs and stares of people and now I have had enough. Since my husband passed, I have been consumed by depression. I eat for comfort. I am at my all time highest, 374. My knees hurt, my legs swell, I can't bend over, my endurance is nil. I want to live to be with my grandchildren and maybe even find a new partner in life. I don't like being alone. I decided on the sleeve because it was the least invasive and has good success rate. I have monitored the surgeon and his complication rates. He has very few patients with post op problems. I am nervous and scared. I wish I had someone to talk to about it. Maybe I can meet someone at the group meetings.
