Did anyone have regrets? I keep reading how everyone is so happy! I want to be happy but I am in pain, starving, and not sleeping.....I had surgery on Wednesday...when did people start feeling good???

. Yes you will get through it ....you will feel better everyday...keep up the good work!!

Yes I have pain meds, I Sleep on my tummy so I am sure that's the trouble....thanks everyone, I am sure once over this hump I will feel better

2days for me....still feeling rough, but drinking and getting around....no gas pain yet.....feels like I overdid the sit-ups that's about it...... Lol. ..I am off the pain meds and on full fluids yay!!!!

My band is a big secret also, I feel sort of crappy lying to everyone all throughout the pre op liquid stage and now that I am post op.....I am telling people I have the flu.....hopefully I will feel better soon and be back on the social scene....even my mother doesn't know .....and she is quite a foodie, telling me what she ate everyday and asking me what I had lol.....I lied and told her what the hubby ate.....it should all be worth it in the end!

Is it normal to be able to chug water? Or will I sip the rest of my life? Got banded today....thanks

Why 4-5 weeks? Seems long to me I was banded yesterday and they said liquids for a week, then mushies for a week, then soft foods , then real food......be careful! And don't rush it but check with your dr

Yes thanks for sharing, I needed to hear that I am getting banded tomorrow morning and I am still "feeling" like I will miss all my old "food friends".....

Not allowed by my dr......... Only shakes and veggies (low glycemic) ...

Wednesday is my day.....not nervous yet .....tired of the liquid diet lol

Hi Lou, congrats on your decision!! I am starting my pre op diet tomorrow.....not gonna be fun, but it is not all liquid, you will probably be allowed veggies also...no meat and no carbs..good luck!!!

I got mine at slimband. I am down 30 lbs. I have been vlogging my progress on YouTube (moniquesjourney). That's been a lot of fun. I am adjusting well to eating with the band. Are you excited?. I am excited and very nervous!! My eating is out of control, because I feel I will never be able to have those foods again.....I know this is not rational, but I am still overeating ugh!!!! I thought slim band went out of business?? How expensive was that??

I am getting the band so no hospital stay, just day surgery while they are at school.

I am starting the pre op liquid diet in 2 weeks....that being said how did you keep that secret from your family? I know my kids will be asking why I am not eating, my husband knows and is supportive but he says if we tell the kids (14) ad (12) we may as well take out an ad in the paper hahaha please share any and all "excuses" you may have used. thanks!
