Karen, try not to get down. You've been through major surgery and you have a teenager. God bless you the teenager alone is enough to drive you crazy. And the stress of surgery reeks havoc on your system. So many people on here sharing the same thoughts and issues with only small variances tell you they got to be right. I haven't lost as much as some, but I don't let it bother me. I remember everyone is different. Envision you in a year with a smoking figure, and believe it is possible. Don't give up or give in. We are all here to support one another. Vent when needed! Michele -

Motherof5...I am learning to eat slowly and I also burp when full. This is certainly a learning curve. 1oz fills me now, and I probably would be better with less because I fell over full after. Good luck with this. Michele -

I tried fish again my stomach just isn't ready for it. I was able to eat crumbled sausage and tomato sauce no problem. It's amazing how some foods are no problem and others reek havoc. I started to add fiber in my yogurt and the BM issues have improved. I've lost 5 more pounds. Feeling pretty good. -

Karen, I was thinking I just ate too much...could that have been the case for you? When were you sleeved? I'll try fish again next week. I'm not sure if I can eat cheese, but I love it. Today I can try ground meats, I am a little nervous. -

Amazon, when I went for my 10 day check up I filled out a questionnaire that asked if I suffered from "frothing". I had never even heard of it. The other day I tried to eat a piece if fish (it's on my legal foods). WOW, I probably ate 3oz too quickly and really suffered. I did froth (thick foamy stuff coming from my stomach) and eventually had to purge to get relief. Now I have discomfort whenever I eat, and must eat only about 1-2 oz. thanks for sharing and please post what doctor says. I was sleeved 8/25. Michele -

Amazon, I am Looking forward to hear what your doctor says. I also am getting more sensitive to stomach discomfort and have also found I must consume less ounces to prevent the discomfort. I am finding in very difficult to slow my eating down. Any suggestions? -

Congrats on weight loss. We all just got to remember the weight will come off. It didn't come on in a few weeks of it probably won't come off that fast either. -
Does anyone know the average length of time it takes for your stomach to become its new normal size. Right now I can eat about 3oz and I have to eat very slowly.

I haven't lost anything since I went to the doctors. Still not moving my bowels like I think I should be so today I took some fiber. Anyone else have any suggestions. I hope that's the issue. -

Yes, I can eat fish, tuna salad, and hot cereal too. Next week I cans eat ground chicken and soft foods like those from a crockpot. I must say I do have to eat small amounts and very slowly. -

I'm going to have to try that. Gas and regular BM's have been my biggest issue. Weight loss has been irregular and slow but I am sure the weight will go eventually. -

Don't get discouraged, I'm right there with you. I was sleeved 8/25 and lost 9 lbs. I know it will come off eventually. I will not let a calorie defeat me. -
I was a "super healthy" fat person until surgery changed my life. Was it worth it?
DevineMissM replied to LipstickLady's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
What a great inspirational story. I too am a healthy fat person. I am 64yo and I do need knee replacements but nothing else wrong. Your story serves as inspiration. I am tired of watching life go bye. -
Lindalou, the worst part was trying to have a BM after the surgery. I didn't feel like myself after surgery and I slept a lot. When you get to eat remember to eat slow. Energy is initially low but then again we did just have surgery. Good luck!

No milk of magnesia I just had one hard day where I was constipated I sat on the toilet for a long time and then I had an explosion since then things of gotten a little bit better each day. I'm not hungry most of the time no head hunger no real craving for any foods the tuna today and my mashed potatoes for dinner were wonderful. Remain positive.
