  1. I agree with everyone. I felt the same way at one point. when you start eating mushy foods ( I hated this stage), you will feel full. Continue on your doctor's plan. It will get better.
  2. At 3 months out, I only weighed myself at my doctors visits. People also talk about stalls, that doesn't exist for me because I don't do the scale. I know I will obsess over it and get all worked up because I didn't lose 2 pounds per week. I started to log my food intake, it didn't last long. I am not perfect but 90 percent of the time I am eating healthy. I also have myself programmed to eat every 2 hours and I measure my food. I will do only 1/4 cup of meat and 1/4 of veggies. Sometimes I can not finish. I also make sure that I have my Gatorade bottle filled with Water. If I consume 2 of those during the day then I know I had at least 8 cups. I continue to follow my surgeon's plan. The only probelm I have is eating too fast sometimes. I still do at least 1 Protein shake a day. This really helps me tame my sweet tooth, it really does. I noticed when I stopped drinkin g them, I had this huge craving for sweets. NO JOKE! I make sure to exercise and it is very important to find something that you enjoy. I always push myself to exercise, I would rather lay in my bed 430 in the morning, lol. I would say, continue with your doctor's plan and exercise. the weight will come off eventually. Later Losers!

JusTSomeGirl, I agree. This surgery is truly a blessing for us all. We have to continue to stick to our pk plan and it will continue to be downhill (scale wise) from here. It's unbelievable to me. Milestones like yours are awesome. I can't wait to reach that goal, God Willing. later losers!

    I never feel full...

Yes every 2 hours works for me. If I go over that, I start to feel sick to my stomach. The hunger pains are different now. But you are correct, it helps with getting the proteind and fluids in. Later losers!

    I never feel full...

Green eyed girl its so true. I get slap happy looking at recipes and food but when it comes down to eating, that's a different story. By the end of the night, I am tired of eating. I never thought that I would get tired of eating. I eat every 2 hours now. I only do 1/4 cup of protein and 1/4 cup of veggies at almost 3 months out. Sometimes I do not finish based on how hungry I am. I totally love my sleeve and for once I feel in control.

Yes,it takes time. I was reading a post not too long ago from a WLS vet and they said that the waist/ tummy was the last to go. I am in the same boat too. I am not worried because the inches are coming off. The top of my stomach is still bulging an I don't like it.We are still early in the game. I am not even 3 months out yet. Later losers!

At my last post op appointment on October 20,my NP wants me to be down 50 pounds by February 26th. There is no way I am going to set myself up to be upset if I do not reach her goal. I am just going to continue to eat right, take my meds and exercise. I also started tracking my food intake because I am consuming more food now.

Don't feel bad. So far I only lost 30 pounds.I feel great! We are still in the beginning stages and 30pounds less is awesome. As long as you are sticking to lean proteins first, drinking your fluids, and some moving uou will continue t lose. But I am sure you guys have some NSVs. And I am sure have some inches off too.

    Where are my August Sleevers?

The only heavy carb I added to my diet is the bulgar wheat. I only do 1/4 cup of that. I like the fact that it is versitile. You can have it for any meal. It also helps with my potty issues. I just make sure I eat all of my protein first before that bulgar is off my plate.
  16. I am taking 2 Centrums(pill form) per day. I cut them in half. I will definitely look into the Vitamins that were mentioned above. Thanks

    Where are my August Sleevers?

Still here. As of October 20th, I am down 30 pounds since surgery. YAY! I am finally in the 250's. I don't recall ever seeing that number. I did have my run-ins with fried chicken(chicken skin) a few times. But only one piece which would last me like 3 meals. I am very disappointed in myself for that. I mean, I did not allow these to cut on me only to fail. It is very hard being the only one in the house that is trying to eat right and I do all the cooking. I just have to keep pushing on to the next day. Anyway, I have a new found love, BUTTERNUT SQUASH!. OMGoodeness! I love this stuff for real. No sugar needed at all. I just put a pat of butter on my serving(1/4 cup if I can eat it all) and it is gold. I am also addicted to Allrecipes.com. I am constantly looking up there for sleeve friendly meals and would love to try them all, lol. Still exercising and loving the fact that don't feel like I am having a heart attack while doing it. I am able to go from the basement to the second floor non-stop, YAY! I also noticed that I am waking up crazy early in the morning. I mean, 4:30 a.m. I finally made me a little list of my Vitamins and pinned it on the fridge. As I take my meds, I just mark it off. I tend to forget about the ones that I have to take twice a day. It really helps me. I finally got it down. I am still drinking my Protein shakes, it helps with the sweet tooth. I just drink them as a snack. I am still having probelms with my BP, BOOOOOO! I have an appointment with my PCP next Thursday and hopefully it will be better and I will be in the 240's. I hope that everyone is still striving to reach their goal, no matter how long it takes. We are still in the beginning of this race and it will take time. As long as I am still losing, I am happy. Keep losing losers! Later!

When you can't even be honest with yourself

Thanks Kindle for this good talk. I am a private person and choose to tell only a few of friends. I just told my closest friend today and she is supportive. She said that she wish that I would have told her sooner so that she could have helped with my children. She even said that she is considering the WLS as well. I just didn't want to get talked out of it again. I didn't want her to be in opposition of what I was going to do. I am relieved! It was so hard to talk to her and not share with her something that is so important to me. She wants more info on it. If someone was to ask me if I had the surgery, I would say yes. I could be of some help to that person if they are interested. Thx again.
  20. At 2 months out, I did not lose 30 pounds in a month. As long as you are losing, it is a good thing. Try to continue to get your protein in and fluids. You are still early too.

    African American Sleevers

It will be hard but it can be done. with your hubby willing to prepare healthy foods for you, maybe he can make a healthier pudding for you as well. It is good that you have that support especially the support of a cook.

    Best food for grazing !

that broccoli in hot garlic sauce sounds tasty. Like a previous poster stated, I eat every 2 hours and that helps me a lot. You should get rid of the biscuits and X the toast too. Try low fat string cheese sticks or low fat PB with celery. Remember the Proteins first. There was someone that made a sorbet out of frozen fruit, low fat Greek yogurt and 1 scoop of Protein powder. He put it in the food processor and it was done. This is something you could try too. I know I am lol. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, bedtime snack This is my plan. I also still drink my Protein shakes or do Pure Protein Bars (1/2 bar) which keeps me full as well.

    African American Sleevers

I picked up the Carbmaster carrot cake and I will not do that again. To me it tasted too much like carrots. The spice cake one was delish though. I will definitely stick with the Carbmaster. I have to see if they have it in Greek yogurt. The vanilla goes good with my homemade granola bars.
