For People Worried About Keeping Surgery Secret...
motherof5 replied to mnmlst's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I only told a few family members afterwards and they were like, "ok". Something important to you a lot of people could care less about. So,I am not even going to bring it up in any of my conversations. I made the right decision when I told the people important to me. They are very supportive. -

My Lunch: A Pictorial Attempt To Show You Life Will Be Normal
motherof5 replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am obsessed with recipes. I like flavorful foods and take my time to prepare my foods now. I made fried rice using bulgar instead of rice. To me,there was no difference. Loaded it with cabbage, eggs and green onions. I made enough to last a few meals. Next time I will post a pic. -

It is strange. My sweet tooth has returned at 3 months out. But when I went to the store and saw all those bakery goodies, I did not want one. I try to stick to my protein drinks for that sugar monster. I also found a sleeve friendly recipe for no bake peanut butter protein bars.
-
Yes, Livvsmum I can see it in your profile. i am craving sweets too and ended up buying yogurt almonds. I try to make sure to make my Protein shake eveyday to help tame my cravings. I am not even 7 months out yet and I have to get my head back into the game. WE CAN DO THIS, WE WILL DO THIS! Proteins first and get rid of the crap! Later Losers!

2 Wks Out Only Down 10 Lbs
motherof5 replied to mnmlst's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
14 pounds in two weeks is awesome. Just keep looking forward. -
The dumping is real. I am a sleever and had a few episodes. I could not even drink sugar free drinks without feeling queezy. My episode was the foamies(spitting) and sitting on the potty at the same time. So, I am not even willing to try Crystal Light or even Vitamin Water at all. I was able to have diet green tea but I diluted that as well. Anything high in sugar is a no no. I also baked chicken skin is a no no as well. the other day I sauteed some onions and I got sick. I love sauteed onions but I cannot have them by themselves or I think it was the mayo. Anyway, don't let the videos deter you. I know its hard.

At 3 months out, I am noticing the same. I think I have to start eating chicken breast lol. But seriously, I am a little concerned as well. I just make sure that I eat every 2 hours and do the Proteins first. I hope it will change for both of us. Later Loser!
-
On November 26th I will officially be 3 months out. I am feeling pretty good these days. getting my proteins and fluids in. On the 25th I will go to the doctor, I hope to be in the 240's. I still ahve a long ways to go before I reach my goal weight.

When You Realize You Really Are Changing...
motherof5 replied to cmick14's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Such a wonderful feeling, I know. It is a littel hard for me register that I can actually get into XL shirts. I am not totally comfortable wearing them yet, but I can actually put it on. It just cannot believe it. I am actually scared to try on smaller sizes. Its weird. but I love this journey. Happy losing! Later Losers! -
I actually can wear a XL flair skirt . I can finally wear skirts and shirts and get rid of my MOO MOO dresses. When I hug my children, I can actually feel them and wrap my arms around them. I don't feel like a slob. I can wear two bras comfortably to keep things up. I am able to zip up my winter coat without feeling like I am about suffocate. I can actully wear a jacket under my winter coat if i need to. I can cross my legs better (I am always crossing them) I can run up and down the stairs without my knees hurting! I can go all day without deodorant and not smell like a skunk. I can shave without any problems. I love my sleeve and I look forward to many NSVs. Later Losers!

Thoughts on sugar free?
motherof5 replied to nails211's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was going to do the Stevia. But I decided not too. I do get the fat free yogurt though. If I want to add sweetness, I will use real deal Amish honey. If I have a sweet tooth, I will have a protein shake or bar. Better yet, I even made my own protein bars. -
I had to same problem. I do my workout 5 in the morning. Its too early for me to eat so I just drink my protein shake. But I will have kind of fruit (usually a banana),milk and either yogurt or peanut butter for more protein. Once I started this, I was fine. My NUT told me it was my sugar levels. I needed eat something.

I like that Proudgrammy. I would love to seat with you. I am sure you will have me cracking up all the time. Losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks is awesome. That is a great accomplishment. My surgeon expext me to lose 10 pounds PER month by the time I see him in February. Your weight lose will slow down though. Enjoy it now. Later loser! -
New recipe sooooo yummy
motherof5 replied to gidget42683's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds yummy-licious! I also saw a recipe for pizza bella. Use mushroom for the crust instead of the dough. -
This is my topic. I am a fast eater. At 3 months out I can defintely eat faster. That is the worst thing you can do. The food has to travel and a few times I overate. Not a good feeling. I multi task, like one poster stated. That is the only way for me to slow down. Majority of times, my food will be cold, lol.
