Thanks Froggie D.... 3 more days and I am officially nervous now. The butterflies in my stomach are real..Mypreop diet has been going really well. I am down 8lbs. Yay!! I can't get any work done b/c I keep watching wls vlogs.. Truly everyone is so different. My biggest worries is recovery since I am a little older. Hopefully, I will be able to get up and move around, lying still is not one of my best activities. The band is coming just in time for my birthday 4/9...

Thanks Paragirl..I know that I need to calm down, all of a sudden my nerves are getting worked up. Iwas thinking of getting the Sketcher's too. Since starting the preop diet 8 lbs are gone. yay.

Yeah the esophageal erosion has been a concern of mine also. The meeting times are posted on Dr. B's website. Sugar Buster diet is not that bad, but I'm going to do the last couple days with just clear liquids just to be safe. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in...Good Luck to everybody.

Best wishes to you also, Lori in Spokane. I am in the preop diet right now, too. I started last Thurs, wow it's been a week. Not too bad as my surgeon requires Sugar Busters for two weeks. Keep posting...

Hi Everybody...I am set up for April 1st with Dr Bagnato. I am 6 days into my 2 week Sugar Buster's Diet. This surgeon doesn't require the 2 weeks of liquids. Saturday, I will start clear liquids anyway just to be on the safe side. Need that liver to shrink so that the view is clear. Sometimes I still don't believe it's actually going to happen...woohoo

That sounds like a plan....Do you exercise at all? I just had my preop work done Thurs for my April 1st date. Any words of wisdom? My biggest concern is going home on the same day as the surg but all of the staff says I'll be fine. How did you feel about going home on the same day as surg?

What are your plans for the summer weightloss?

Laurenmcarter how are you doing with the diet? Are you all set for your surg?

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I seem to have a serious love affair with chocolate during that time of the month and I am hoping the it doesn't decide to show up during my 2 weeks on the pre op diet. I have PCOS and my girl comes when she feels like it. Hopefully the weightloss will help with that issue also. To get the results that you guys are getting, I am sure that I will love my band, too. I won't be shy, hopefully we'll be able to meet before April 1st. There is a meeting tonight maybe the next one will be on Friday or Saturday, I'll suggest it.:thumbdown:

Happy Thursday Everybody......There is a support group meeting tonight. I plan on attending. I'll have to drive a little ways from Douglas, but I am so pumped up. I hoping to connect with somebody to go through this with me. I don't have any family down here so I'm gonna need all the support that I can get. Hope to see a lot of you there, it would be great to meet everybody in person.:thumbdown:

Nip50 130 pounds gone that is terrific. Thanks for responding and being so honest. Bummer on the possible leak. Have you had any issues with your port being in the shoulder area? Someone told me to ask about it. Do you or did you attend any of the group meetings? Were they helpful? This is so cool of you guys to come out and share...Thanks again.:smile:

Wow, thanks for responding Brinabrina77...Do you attend the support group meetings? My surg is scheduled for April 1st. And of course I am full of butterflies. Did you get the left shoulder pain that I have read about? How was the SugarBuster diet? Sorry for so many q's.

Dr Bagnato and his team have really been wonderful to me thru this whole predetermination process. The ladies are helpful and reassuring. You will be several weeks banded by the time my surgery date. Will you be posting your process from start to finish?

My consult was so long ago that I'm not totally sure either. My doc is requesting SugarBusters as the pre op diet. How about yours? We can hold each other's hands thru this...:thumbdown:
