You know, I was going through all these posts and noticed that we are all struggling with weight. But with that comes other things like relationships, jobs, kids, school, emotional ups/downs, self image issues, food wants, but what can we do for each other? I'm a Christian and I can pray for you. Add your requests and let me pray for you. As we grow, others will pray for you and before you know it, our prayer circle will be so big, you will have prayers from all over the world. God is good all the time and we all need prayer. You don't have to be religious to need prayer. You just need to ask, and the rest is up to us. Felix

All the glory to God. No doubt. Prayer is one thing I can share with a believer or non-believer and it is a beautiful thing for His glory. I've come to see in my surgery walk that when I don't know what to do, God does. He gave me strength when I thought I had nothing left. And he did it all for His awesome glory. It is our honor to work for Him.

Praise God m.sexton. one thing I like to say is especially for those who may not follow the Lord just now, is that He is an awesome God and He asks to be part of our lives. In good and bad trials and He asks to lift those heavy burdens from us. I pray for everyone in and out of Christ and just say to those facing struggles with their surgury , post surgery life or pre surgery life to know He will always be there to lift our burdens.

To God alone be the glory.

Will do Tina. Know that He is Sovereign and in His perfect timing.

Of course. Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still and know that I am God." "The LORD makes His face shine upon you and be gracious to you." Numbers 6:25. You will be fine. With God, it's always a Win-Win. Happy New Year.

You got it. Keep it up.

Luvkoko, hope all went well with your surgery today. Can't wait for you to get home and remember, the next week or two will be the toughest you probably will ever face with the new change. Keep focused and when you feel that urge to do something that we shouldn't do, like eat something bad, get in the Word. It will be literally like fasting. YOU GOT THIS. This is one thing we can say, man or woman, We've all been where you are at.

Paluma, remember, God knows the plans He has for us (Jer. 29:11). Keep your eyes lifted to the hills (Ps 121:1) and know where your help comes from. As for your finances. Consider looking at Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover when you get on your feet.

Praise God for this not me Seahawks Fan. I know what I needed when I went through this. It wasn't just for surgery times either. Times get tough all the time right? Even after surgery, we just feel defeated with skin, people talking, etc. So knowing that others are there in prayer, even if they don't know us, it is even more so appreciated. I hope things are going well for you as I see your current weight is under your goal, so awesome job. Happy New Year.

As the first night of this post draws to a close, I am hopeful in Christ Jesus that everyone who has asked for prayers will be lifted up to show us His glory. When I break open my prayer notebook (12 each year, 1 for each month), write Colossians 1:9-14. Where it says "you," I insert names of my kids, wife, and those I am praying for. I am humbled to pray for you all tonight and ongoing this week as we go forth into the New Year. God bless you all.

Good luck to you. Things will be tough at first because of the life change, but get over the initial hump and the weight will fall off and you will be happy like a fat kid in a bakery. Ok, wrong phrase. Lol. We all were that kid once.

Thanks Dub, I appreciate it. I was injured at 9/11 and by two drunks in the line of duty. The last crash really almost killed me and made me permanently disabled, so it contributed to my weight gain. So everyday is a benchmark. Merry Christmas.
