Did You Ever Back Slide After The Honeymoon Period
luluc replied to speck's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
95% of the time i was good while working towards restriction. i'm not a cake/cookie/sweet lover - but i can never pass up chips & queso - my vice. perfectly normal, what always kept me check was stepping on the scale...if it went up or went up & down for a bit - i got serious again. -
i give ya'll who had to do a pre-op diet major credit - i'm pretty grouchy hungry:glare: post-op not so bad, as i wasn't hungry till wk 3 & happy on pain meds...LOL ok - posting a bit of a rant. tupperware, DH can NEVER close tupperware tubs - rather he just lays/rests it on top. if i go to the fridge one more f'in time and drop food all over the floor because his lazy A$$ can push the lid down i'm going to pinch him... ahhhh feel better, off to mop floor for 2nd time today.

same here. i do have to go slow with chicken & sushi rolls. the sticky rice likes to take it's sweet time, and chicken needs to be very moist & w/some type of sauce.

GG - my neighbor just had surgery on monday & i made this for her family Wed. when i saw it, i printed out knowing it was easy & looked good. she just emailed me that the whole family loved it and there were barely leftovers (i made a double batch too). thanks for the recp. i need to make it for me now.:tongue2:

have you tried to peel the skin? DH has to do that w/apples - me i'm ok with them.

Which side is your port on? Choice?
luluc replied to Band_Groupie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
that's great you asked & it can be placed anywhere. i've read some have it in their shoulder and there is also a low profile port - don't know much about that one. mine was placed to the left of my belly button. as i lost weight it crept up... it is now right under where my sports bra / bra rests. i was worried it was floating about, by my dr assured me it's intact but you can totally notice it. i call her trudy (protruding port) - i'll take it over the excess weight..LOL -
don't pay attention or compare yourself to others. that's the best bit of advice i got & it's really true. there are so many variables: what was their BMI / did they have a liquid pre-op / what is their calorie intake / do they exercise..... i only lost 25lbs in my first 4+ months - it was extremely frustrating watching others tickers go by..... so i just ignored & focused on just what i had control over - me. good luck!

it pains me to agree w/plain - but by far; best quote ever here!!!
-
i love it - how very charming the words of babes...
-
i view manipulation ***close ears for those offended - jerking one off***, not the natural course of a massage where parts are grazed and arousal takes part. i say that - because there are a LOT of "happy ending places in dallas - where one does not go for the enjoyment of "massage" nor get one..... see above post re- husband friends, it's a joke around their wives that they're clueless about... ohhhhh taking this thread elsewhere i see...LOL
-
donna you made me crack up!!! DH calls it a happy ending - are you talking via manipulation or just something that happened while relaxed & aroused at the same time. i would view as cheating if junk was touched.
-
me too - but had also gotten away from doing that like ceradad & just need to continue. btw ceradad - too much in common;
-
yep thats what i use (chocolate) - i just get bored with them and would rather eat my meals .... but it's no longer enough.
-
just popping in the boys room to see mikes response. had a crappy workout with the trainer this am and i know it was all nutrition.. - sometimes, i really can't stand the protein drinks.

that is an extremely honest response. my husband is the only who has ever broken thru the walls i have, rather had...so i get it. i had taken care of myself for a LONG time before he came into the picture, and to "share" / be vulnerable / trusting / honest / communicative - all at the same time was a bit overwheming. we decided early on that if i can't express it; i can't expect him to read my mind - so therefore the issue doesn't exist. it wasn't fair for him to not get what was bothering me just reading my body language. so now - it's his own damn fault because i comment on everything . i will say this; my husband has 2 friends who's wives are agains ANY porn / strip club you name it. guess what they want to do when they have a night out??? you got it, and then i have the 2 wives complain to me that since i allow my husband, he corrupts their husbands. speaks more to their insecurity really. set realistic expectations with each other on the subject & set parameters - he can't guess where your coming from unless you tell him.
-
ah, so your also tatted' up...

LOVE freestyle....multi-quotes hurts my eyes sometimes - like a seizure coming on when they're are so many (Plain)..LOL

i used them in Dallas. i found them to be very thorough with preop & paper work, plus the after care has been very supportive. good luck with your surgery!!! -
