i feel sorry for those that have had WLS and it didn't work for them & ended up in a worse place. i struggle w/a healthy paranoia that my band won't be forever & cross fingers i've learned lessons in the process. some never get there, that's almost worse than never having had WLS - IMO. i get what your saying - but i am SO rooting for that man because he doesn't have many more choices & who's to say his head hunger isn't real vs one of the other 21 contestants?

i usually let A LOT slide, but this $%^&* LIED, and lied to ebay & paypal as well. he had 5 bids going for wii's, DH won the one bid. turns out he had 1 wii, and 5 bids going - collecting 5 fees. i get the economy sux - but you don't get to play w/my money - i do. i'm not allowed to post negatively to him - DH says my potty mouth will get us kicked off.....so he'll slam the person. i'll still bid on ebay - i think their investigational unit is really great should someone need to use them.

in all honesty - i'm glad they have someone on with a failed WLS. not for giggles; but because it's a reality....sometimes it just doesn't work for someone, sometimes they have the wrong surgery. my neighbor - she had gastric, lost 140lbs - gained more than half back when she had a revision to a DS 2 months ago. she had no business having RNY in the first place, because she had no intention of changing her eating habits. she asked me how many calories i had a day & guessed around 1100.....that was Breakfast for her. i think she now has the right surgery for her, like lapband worked for many of us here. i don't think having WLS is an easy "out" for someone - i still have to make proper food choice selections / shop for healthier items & drag my a$$ into the gym on days i rather sleep in. if anything he has a strike against him & i'm pulling for him - because according to his labs, this is make or break for him.

completely understand - AKA's are great! pjtp - just got ebay / paypal to refund me the $$$$$ that some A$$ kept but didn't send the wii i purchased on 12.5. and NOW i will happily bust his 100% approval rating - been waiting a few wks to do this and he should be so sorry...LOL

your a fly on my wall aren't ya??? i sure as Heck (being good not cussing as much - lol) did take pics...we built a music studio upstairs for DH and i was snapping some pics to post on fb, since it's CLEAN. are you on fb slim? i promise not to bite; i'm just trying to take pics - DH has been the photographer FOREVER. * not a fan of canned Soups donna * cc - give it another day; my fills loosened up over a time

i said something in another thread about this - so far haven't been slammed:wink: there was a HUGE difference between yesterday at the gym and over the wkend; but i also go mid morning. today - *waiting on directv who are suppose to be here between 10-2....i bet they show @5pm* wii - yoga this AM, turning into a habit...i got jillian michaels ultimate 2009 game and need to crack that open. has anyone tried it?

FINALLY some good news for pear shaped women!! no matter how much i lose - the booty will always be there.

no idea. forcing myself to "eat" breakfast each day was one of the harder problems i had in adjusting to band life. i had a venti/non fat/double shot/latte for yrs for breakfast and in that time i went from 130lbs to 200lbs. not having a meal till 1pm did nothing for my metabolism. i wake up hungry most mornings and want to eat - this is a FIRST for me. talk with your dr at the next fill and see what he/she says.

Ate a burger two days after surgery
luluc replied to tripi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i usually don't post in these threads, but i read your response and thought i'd add to it. each/wk or day there is a thread very similar the OP's - claiming they are scared to have eaten so early out or haven't followed their post op diet.....they actually get a lot of support, the minority is those who chime in what a mistake it is. this thread just happened to have a majority speaking out how wrong the choice to have a burger 2 days out was. the post op diet is in place for healing - not for you to drop the lbs; you would be amazed how many were not informed of that fact. you also aren't likely to determine if damage was done to your band for quite some time out - months/yrs. i think everyone who says they cheated know the made an error and are just looking for company - which is fine; you just can't expect not to get criticism. i understand & can sympathize with how hard the post op diet is; i hated every Protein drink - so i lived on egg drop Soup for 4wks. stick w/the site; many who posted brutally honest responses - might be ones to offer advice & support down the road. good luck to you! -
i say the same thing each AM when i log onto this thread. congrats susan on the 3.5! i found the pouch test really cut my food portions down. pjtp - on day 3 w/hubby on vacation w/his friends. the house is clean & has STAYED clean and there is NO laundry to do.....marks date / time for the history books.

i don't think the show is exploitative. contestants, i'm sure are fans of the show, they know what will be expected of them, what they will wear, & how the show may be edited. i have been with my trainer almost a yr - he is more bob's style in personal approach; however he does bark at me to not give up and continue on....i think it's is a fine balance to keep others motivated. DH swears i would be bleeped the whole show if jillian was my trainer; i tend to have a potty mouth, HOWEVER - i think she really goes to the emotional side of why someone got fat. look at the 2 past winners (ali & michelle) - both were emotional wrecks in the house; and jillian helped them through it. says a lot about her if you ask me. this season - i got choked up last night watching the show. i swore i would never regain the weight i lost & would no matter what continue in the gym (i hear ya LJM)... i don't know who i like & don't - wish they didn't send one of the pairs home; but that might make it interesting.

ok same again - i try to make it a rule not to eat after diner which is around 6pm. i'm typically hungry during the day & after workouts......not so much a night eater like DH is .... he likes his snacks at nite.

i have 2 3hr courses (jd curriculum) a wk and just got nervous today, hadn't been in college since 1993. hope i blend in w/the 20yr olds....LOL
-
sounds VERY familiar. usually asleep by 10 - up by 5.

bea, i start school back up on thursday (only 2 courses) - however i am an early bird...DH is the night owl. for him tylenol PM does work when he needs it - otherwise a good workout knocks him out earlier in the evening than without. when he is not exercising on a regular basis - he's up later & later.......he's been off for 2wks so far and has hit the gym almost everyday - in bed by 11 or 12...which is EARLY for him!.

Starting the holiday detox early, anyone wanna join me?
luluc replied to Boo Boo Kitty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it's gone!:tt1: i love that protein drink list - SO wish i had it post op, as i really struggled finding one i liked....now i'm adding them to the diet because they taste so good. my husband is very tight in the AM, and i make him a shake daily - he loves the strawberry cheesecake. i take a EAS carb control strawberry shake, add tablespoon of SF cheesecake pudding mix and throw some frozen strawberries in as ice cubes.. i'm trying to get a bit creative w/the protein powder - macmadame in the food / nutrition forum has protein muffins in the recp threads......been playing around with those which have been a nice treat. -
hope your feeling better soon. today - new yr, new routine with trainer. 50min w/him, concentration on the booty/glutts/legs, followed with 20min walk on treadmill. ceradad - that's a great goal! i'm struggling with getting back to running when my tri was canceled and this morning was no exception. i'll try tomorrow:)
