    that was pretty damn funny!!!! i love the snow - but not to live in it. didn't convince hubby that valentines on a beach was a better idea, than the slopes - so i'll have snowflake lashes in a few wks:rolleyes:

  3. nice to see this post & i love all the responses. i have struggled for quite a while to call out "goal" - because in my mind i've thought once i'm done - what next? well i did this wkend decide i am "done" losing weight and my job is to do what you state lellow - let my body determine where i should be. i'm going to keep up with the eating habits & exercise that got me lower than my surgeon thought i could and SMELL the roses! i guess i need to kiss someone that PS is not required ... i wish you well on your upcoming surgery!

    i'm just a nosy b&^%$# :cursing: but i do catch myself while in line looking at others carts - not to feel better about myself or i'm "missing" something - i'm more shamed of previous gluttony of mine. i'm in a unique position than most here - i have no kids & dh is also banded. i can keep stuff at bay & out of the house. if i have a craving (and it's usually chips/queso/margarita) - i go to it rather than have it in house..

    i've been calling it a "healthy paranoia" that i will regain, lose my band somehow, or in the beginning that it wouldn't work at all. dh has to talk me off the ledge sometimes because i "read" too much here - he just lives in oblivion (which works well for him) that the band is here to stay in him. my thinking of food / fitness / health has completely changed - i sometimes catch myself grocery shopping staring into others baskets.....i know, i have issues - but i do it..:cursing:

    i have it tivo'd but haven't sat down to watch. my biggest fear w/being banded was that it wasn't going to work - since i lost so little in the beginning....that has to be devastating to gain after wls.!. ljm - i BET you can find a sleep deprived inter needing a bux run.....i also like taps idea!!

    today - still on no weight lifting - 2hrs worth of training my red heeler. we walked a bunch on a leash (which she's never done) and i feel SPENT. that was more work that i ever thought....LOL georgia girl - hope your ankle is feeling better!
  8. i like to make my own, and use the following brands: for chocolate - muscle milk for vanilla - eas soy fruity (for smoothies) - Syntrax nectar peach i will add a tablespoon of: Peanut Butter / sugar free Jello pudding (cheesecake,pistachio,banana cream,butterscotch) / fresh fruits etc. to mix things up and change up the plain old vanilla Protein drink. my dr wasn't a fan of Protein drinks early out. he wanted me to get my nutrients from food sources mostly - so i did. i have gotten into drinking a smoothie or Protein Drink lately after i did the pouch test & it's what i've been in the mood for - so i drink them. not sure where - but you can do a search, there is a list of 200 protein drink ideas here to give you some ideas.

    there have been many hot texas days where i have wanted to shave my head - but i just don't have the stones. susan, i have a mop of thick hair as well; always have to get it thinned out when i get a cut because it's SO much. i have been enjoying the short do for a while now. i have found the best TOOL ever = croc flat Iron, it works on towel dried hair and i'm done in 2-3 minutes. HATE spending too much time; and not a fan of make up either....sunscreen/masacra/cherry chapstick & GO. ljm - glad the bed rest is doing what it needs to. are they keeping you till you deliver? ok - more coffee needed.....it's a monday.

    that is fantastic susan!!! i wish i heard of the pouch test sooner - if nothing else it totally curbed my appetite & where i thought i needed a fill; i'll have a slight unfill on tsday. ok - football is over for me; sucks the lifeblood of my household from aug - jan.......back to normal or something like that here at the homestead.

    i'm sorry - i am married to the craziest cowboy fan EVER. he's still sad. i did get him convinced (sorry ceradad) to go for my NYGiants today - we have football watching party that started about an hr ago. LOL the crazies are here!!!!

    sorry bbk (((hugs))) ljm - glad you got some zzzz's snt - you should have gone shorter in my opinion. sms - yes i'm super spy girl in my shades here on LBT...LOL i just lightened my hair recently - not much but around the face; still not sold on it just yet. i have been chemically addicted for 15yrs - grey be gone!!! OH - i don't visit ; on purpose pjtp - i can't say enough how great the pouch test was. dh looked at me last night when he got home and said "your done" - no more weight to go......so i'm DONE!! first time i've said that - whew:tongue_smilie:
  18. hope your feeling better!! my dr wants us to have a script of phenegran on hand in case nausea or vomiting should occur. might want to get a hold of some - it really works!! kc- i have playing around a LOT w/protein powders of late, and trying out new shakes; i've never tried the "lite" version of muscle milk - heard it wasn't great; but i do see the ready made one's in the gym, i might give one a try. thnkx yesterday - didn't feel so hot myself b- pomegrante/blueberry protein smoothie l - trail mix d- pear slices

    . weights / free weights & resistance twice a wk for 50min. i don't do any other weight training outside of those to days - cardio & yoga only.

    hi gingerbug, i did cardio only the first few months after being banded - then decided to get a trainer. i have been with him almost a yr; twice a wk weight training. my body changed a lot due to weight training in my opinion - i still will tack on a few days of cardio (i'm not much a runner - but i do it sometimes) and i've gotten addicted to wii yoga ... because my gym has yoga classes during my training times. i like the combo of the three - but i rely on weight training for the body changes, and definition of muscle. all the best on your reunion w/hubby!

    i think you need a "small" unfill - i've only PB'd 3 times since banding...a few times this wk isn't good. i slept in this sat (ha 7am is sleeping in - lol). dh comes home today - i actually miss him a lot; ready for the house to get messy & have a pile of laundry tonight. have a good wkend all - ljm, take care!
  23. i use muscle milk for chocolate Protein powder - its the only "chocolate" one i like. yesterday - b- 2oz smoked salmon / sliced tomatoes l- cup of lentil soup d- pistachio protein shake

    help exercise question

    i didn't till several months out. i didn't have "belly fat" and my port was attached right onto muscle - it was painful for a while. check w/your dr.....mine said 10wks and normally you should be fine.
  25. there have been a few nurses here that have done emergency "unfills" on themselves. believe a huber needle is needed to perform this. me - i'm a chicken ^%$#. i can handle needles so long as i don't see what they're doing.
