pjtp - port pain. i'm not going to start a thread - but if anyone gets port pain, get it looked at. was in the hospital all morning for my hernia, and i had a slight infection by my port site. my surgeon says left untreated can lead to erosion - caught well in time. i go back in 2 wks to double check & make sure it's cleared up - just thought i'd give an FYI to my posting pals!!

sounds good to me:wink: i think plain is born/raised here, dh has TOO much to say on the subject, and i can honestly say i may not pay attention all the time... i've been here 15yrs, and it is NOT the south....that much i can attest to.

joelle (the silver partner) lives with her mom, reason she was very tempted to take the 25k & go home and get a house with it. had no idea till manatee posted that homes were that low in the detroit area; i too thought the 5k would have been a down payment...

i call those "hairy legg'd" trips (men only)..... minus the "ice & cold" of anykind not on a mountain w/ski's is DH's kinda trip:wink:

saggy boobs... will they bounce back?
luluc replied to Babe's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
well crap, this thread had to get bumped up?? i thought , and well i still think i'm good to go - done losing so what i have is what i have, until DH made a comment this wkend. we were getting out of the hot tub, and i had bent over to grab a towel and he lovingly told me my girls looked like Water balloons that were a few hrs old.:sneaky: UGH - i said do i need to get a pick me up?? he's like, "no i like the natural sag". he got a pinch. still leaving them as is - 32C++ (d bra starting to get some room - i'm blaming losing back inches) -
how true. i'd like to say that today has been one of the more entertaining posting days in a LONG time - and for those who have left me laughing at my screen....thanks.

oh dear, not sure alex has enough bandwidth for me to answer that question here....:sneaky: "bless your heart" - brandy gave a good explanation.

he lost 30lbs the wk before; that's hard to replicate even knowing he has much, much more to lose. i have to assume his body is adjusting & doubtful he Water loaded. that kid just gets to my heartstrings & am concerned he does not have a support system at home - such as his friend (who ordered 2 dogs & fries) on his first day back, while with his obese family eating the same.
-
mine taught me how to uncork a bottle of wine properly....a skill not many 6yrs old's had - but has served me well:thumbup:
-
you beat me to that donna - but here i thought that was a texas saying??~~

i LUV kat!!!! i've told her before - best demeanor on the board! i leave for an hr though - LOL....ninner - you cracked ME UP!! i actually did have burbon salmon for lunch, no fishing involved & or poaching of my neighbors pond; it's stocked w/bass and mine catfish...YUCK to both.
-
i would like to post just to post - that facebook, takes over my life on Wednesdays! i have no school, no gym, no NOTHING going on this one day a wk - and i just now got out of my PJ's and need to get stuff done around the house! just thought i'd share....LOL:sneaky:

something tells me she would break out in poses for the camera:blushing::blushing::tt2: i'm just not that comfortable for exposure in a gym, i keep my eyes to the ground when boobs are flying around in the locker room. i couldn't imagine the "whooha" leg lifting routine...hey leslie can you tell if she needed a grooming??? :hurt::ohmy:

8oz skim milk 1 scoop of chocolate muscle milk protein powder (can use any brand) 1tbsp of sugar free jello cheesecake pudding mix few ice cubes - blend

me too. daniel just breaks my heart; i love when his team met him part way down the mountain to walk with him to the finish line. PMS is approaching because i had waterworks the whole show. they all want to be there.....we'll not so sure of the silver lady who was tempted w/the money. she was so lucky daniel had a 1lb penalty. bob - WOW, he has the same potty mouth as i do:wink: my trainer actually makes me do another 5 reps of whatever when i cuss... not sure her name but the "green" team member ..... she is so focused, she might be the one to beat. i love her attitude; actually they all (minus the one mentioned above) have a great approach to this. **i read a blurb that eric who won 3 or 4 seasons back, he lost 200lbs has gained more than half back & was on oprah to discuss???** *guess that's why they don't do reunion shows?* i really hate hearing that!
-
so i launch in this morning and see leslie's "whooha" woman is back in FULL FORCE, and realize i have 2 pages to go back to - made an extra strong cup of coffee before reading. fanny - i did 2 days of liquid before doing the pouch test susan - thanks for forwarding $1.5m car - i think i could put that money somewhere else cold - i woke up FREEZING, it's 31 in NTX this morning, ice on my truck. i promise NOT to complain when it's over 100 for 45 days straight this summer! pandora bracelet - my girlfriend has one, and her children/hubby add to it every birthday, mothersday, christmas....she loves it. i'm not a bracelet person - but it is quite "charming":) tap - i believe you live in the north pole! leslie - WOW, and i'll leave it at that. i might be a bit more creative on how to handle after some more java.
-
hey kc - i had a small unfill myself yesterday. yesterday - b- chocolate cheesecake protein shake l- bowl of lentils s - slice of havarti cheese d- few bites of beef stroganoff (didn't want to go down)

I don't think my surgeon gets it..what do you think?
luluc replied to Cleo's Mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
cleos mom, your post makes me really appreciate my surgeon. you have a low bmi; it's not likely your weight will clip off fast..10-15lbs in 3wks, PLEASE pm me if you can do this. the most i ever lost in a 1 month period was 8 & that was the first month of banding. it's just not realistic or likely in many cases. you may also require MANY fills for restriction - i needed 8.5ccs in my 10cc band before i "got it"..... you already had your surgery done by him - does the hospital you went to afford you another dr to work with? nutritionist? nurse? only 23 bands under his belt - that's pretty green to be lecturing with such a small sampling of patients. hope your GI turns out OK! -
anxiety about this weird thing in your body anyone?
luluc replied to lizreeka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i too have concerns about the band inside me, nowadays it's more just hoping that it WILL last a lifetime.......kinda like my grandmother who has 2 artificial hips / my mom who's tiny feet are held together with pins due to arthritis / my girl friends who have new sets of "girls" that sit high and perky . when i think about those "foreign objects" i breath a bit and cross my fingers. -
i did the exact same thing - came here (lbt). i had to really rely on will power or make deals with myself. i can eat xxxx - but i need to get out and walk, something to burn that extra bit of calories..LOL
-
i'm 15 months out - no slip. but like she stated a page back, i think it's best to have as little fill needed for restriction/weightloss .....today i had .25 taken out. i swear that pouch test KILLED my appetite completely. i do however have a hernia - could be weight loss related; maybe not. i have an appt w/surgeon & lapband dr thursday morning for a consult to get it out. it is what it is. my husband totally cheated; he shaved off a day here or there advancing to certain foods post op or after a fill. what he didn't do was come here looking for approval from those that did the same. his consequences are his should something happen.....he was also honest w/our dr & didn't try to have a steak 3 days out....

she's a piece of work & a true cattle dog. i knew she would do great with agility training. i always wanted a dog that when i threw a ball they actually brought it back to you. would love to enter her into competitions.....your right; it's a good workout for me too. today - 50min trainer session - all resistance ; all body parts..LOL 30min walk treadmill

i'll no longer comment on those threads (burger one did me in). but i have no issue reading all the responses:)
