probably sums it up best... i "get" the want to be a mom, i come from a catholic / jewish upbringing & the only one w/out a child in my family and in my close group of girl friends. someone in her life should have put the brakes onto her madness much MUCH sooner - my mom would have slapped the stupid right out of me if i was into "collecting kids". that said, when dh and i decided "no more tries" - he bought me my horse (not pony)....i love that big guy!

not a problem that i've had, just get all the appropriate testing done (ct scan/endoscope) - a flouro test alone sometimes won't detect certain problems. hope nothing is wrong! i'll be thinking of ya!

i bought the one box that i can do w/out (hubby's fav) - thin mints. in the freezer; he calls them his junior mint cookies. i'm not a cookie person, but if the girl scouts got in the chip business - they have a customer for life! -
today - 1.75 mile bike warm up 50 min session w/trainer - full body wkout; easy on abs 30 min walk treadmill

same here. i did for the 6 months (because that's how long it took for restriction) - kept a more rigid food plan in place - but it always included cheese. i'm in TX - chips/queso is my vice; and while i don't eat it every day now:) - it's something i do eat regularly. i think moderation is key - with everything.....denying food groups / items / drinks sets you up for failure long term. but that's just my opinion.

i heard the same thing & she was against donating any of them. yet to hear about the clinic she worked for, that's where my curiosity is. i know i was only able to be implanted with 2 MAX, she must have had a super sperm doner

good enough reasons - i never cared for myspace. dh is still not up and likely won't ever - but he laughs seeing my college bf and i chit chatting.. great reconnection tool.
-
i take sips - not gulping my drinks. my dr doesn't restrict this - and i've not had a single episode that many speak to; again i take a few sips here & there during a meal of wine or Water.

ya'll are running machines!!!! i'm such a slug in that regard:wink: yesterday -wii all day long watching superbowl......whosya, it really is a blast. no killer wkout, but entertaining...the yoga isn't too bad either when you can't get to the gym for a class. today - 45min treadmill, interval sprints. there might be a day i love running; hasn't happened yet. another pretty day, might get out on the horse if i have a chance. happy feb all!

i did have a port site infection that was detected during the removal of a hernia that was right under my port. i had had port tenderness & pain while eating for a month or so & decided that my surgeon should be the one to play dr and find out what's going on. i was on major rounds of antibiotics / anti inflammatory / pain meds & last tuesday had an endoscope which showed the infection all cleared. my dr "swore" it was an early detection - reason it cleared....but i wasn't going to be happy, till i woke up and it was all in place. mica - your infection sounds a bit more advanced, than say my localized port one...are you still on antibiotics? do you have an upcoming appt? i still have another endoscope scheduled in 3wks for another looks see (my paranoia request) - i too am self pay, my insurance however is covering all the "extras" that i've currently experience. hope it all goes well for you.

i didn't start any weight training till a few months out. cardio (walking/c5k/elliptical) was my focus early on. i weight train only 2 days a wk and that's w/my trainer - the other few days it's cardio or yoga.....i'm not good at pushing myself with weights alone & my 2 days are fine enough each wk for me. i generally do a 10 minute walk or bike before my session w/my trainer - then follow up w/a 20 min walk or elliptical afterwards (time permitting). i'm usually pretty spent, so a slow walk & stretch works for me most times.... not sure there are any rules, other than listening to your body and how it feels....for me i can't do a cardio session - then walk into weight training, but that's just how my body responds.

i would guess - yes & are they her embryos & was the clinic just "testing"...use her as a guinea pig for some odd experiment. these clinics rely on strict screening & guidelines - i'm STILL baffled at how it all took place. DH and i had 2 embryos left when i said i was done - we had to have an attorney to sign them over for donation (would have preferred to donate to science but it wasn't an option - nor was destroying them). this story is ALL too crazy the more that gets peeled back.
-
oh me too - can't stand big brother/gov't in my business; but this transcends medical ethics in MO the more i hear. prayers for the kids - is really all the more i can say.
-
i'm disturbed by the medical/fertility clinic if indeed she worked there & was implanted by. it cost well over 20k for DH and i to try IVF & someone who already had 6 kids decided she wanted "one more"??.....selfish. said it before, say it again - i hope the state steps in and not only looks into her situation - but HOW she got in this predicament in the first place.
