congrats mac! tap - what kind of quiche? 47 in dallas this AM & i put away coats wks ago.....FREEZING, need extra blankest!!

your not the only person - there have been several threads talking about the same scenario. my only thought is many hadn't gotten their sweet spot back after having such unfills - that would be a big negative in your weightloss program, should you not be at or around goal at that time. me, i just would like the least amt of fill in place while in borderline maintenance mode & that requires a bit of tweeking over time. if your trip is next winter - you could feasibly be at goal and this a non-issue, rather just maintaining. oh & when you hit NYC (my hometown) just smell a knish for me:)
-
kat - just sent DH down to the barn. i'll try anything, actually icing it after the hospital trip for 8hrs really helped the swelling & pain.....but i just don't have the luxury of being "out of commission". DH goes overseas on monday; so i need to be able to get around & manage the ranch some. thanks for the TIP! also - all the best on the job front!

very true, i did think however that if i ate more, i was certainly getting enough exercise to counter.
-
oh i am a klutz - and getting worse as i age it seems. i fell at the vet too, not paying attention to my surroundings and my 90lb lab wanted to get friendly w/a little kitten. he and the rest of my body fell on my ankle. re - animals, did you have a bad experience? was a cute litter of kittens at the vet yesterday....dont' get as big as dogs:)
-
i had a small unfill in feb to go skiing. last yr while doing so, DH (also banded) had huge altitude problems and had to get an emergency unfill in CO....so i just kinda was preparing for that, as last yr i wasn't close to restriction like he was at the time. i will say, i was at my current weight - so weightloss wasn't an objective.....just preventing a possible trip to the ER like we did last yr.

* glouc - i LOVED les mis; saw it yrs ago back home in NY * slim - i'm sorry your afraid of animals, i think the only time i didn't have a furry friend was 2yrs i lived in a condo that had a no pet policy; i still snuck in some fish * taps - i want your cape, rather i need it - does it come w/out a klutz factor? * my ankle - pic attached, proof i'm turning into my mother every day not being able to walk & chew gum at the same time.....hairline fracture & i got out of running w/my trainer this AM.....happy pills - i'm bored; will be a silly poster today:) * oh and i really was overdo for a pedi:)
-
lol - i bet my oldest brother tells all his kids they have to be vets so i pay for their extended college days...NOT i couldn't be a vet either - dh and i volunteer at the aspca, and all i can do is fund raising stuff.....breaks my heart all the strays , sick, hurting animals:(
-
that's great susan, especially the discount!!!! i so need a discount - semi annual trip to the vet today & grooming will not be a pretty price tag X 4. i use revolution for flea/tick/heartworm and that once a month dose is outrageous in price!
-
gotcha!~ any aftershock dramz after checking out? taps i had seen that earlier in the wk, worth a repeat. ptjp - DH will come home today to find his dog (he claims her and her only as HIS) all shaved. she's sheltie / golden mix & was covered in burrs' & stickers - poor thing. i have told my nieces & nephews that the first one who agrees to go to vet school, i'll pay for it - but i get FREE care for life.
-
jaime - thanks for the reply. i was really interested in that dynamic & glad they're still close. appreciate your posts!!!!!! we have inside info...LOL

Was anyone banded at a weight of 200lbs or less?
luluc replied to 31andnew's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
that is very common - in fact there's a thread floating around whether those 200lbs or less are "deserving" of surgery. BS - i so am worth it!!! i don't do support groups at my surgeons practice for the same reason - everytime i go in .... you get the up-down. i don't care, my dr says i'm good advertising for his practice:) i found all my support here and w/my DH who was banded w/me. good luck all those w/upcoming surgeries! -
same as brandy - same day liquids only, ease back into regular food as tolerated.
-
ok - that's pretty damn funny. jmegirl - thanks for the update on dan. i'm glad to hear he's doing well.....oh and that tidbit about jillian; DH swears she takes steroids or something because her face is so manly.....not shocked & certainly not about bob either...:cursing:
-
same here. twice yesterday i had typed up replies to 2 separate threads and when i click the submit button....POOF. my IT guy gets home tomorrow (DH :cursing:)...i think it's more LBT personally - reason i've been on FB more. pjtp - i think i ate my weight in fiddle faddle yesterday. DH must have snuck that in the house, cause i sure didn't buy it.....didn't stop me from eating the box minus the cardboard:frown:
