dh REALLY wants to do his geneology, because i'm not sure his family would know the truth if it slapped them upside the head. a LOT doesn't make sense to me - so he really would like the G2.....they were overly religious on both sides & deception involved (my opinion). i think it will be a GREAT novel. mine is really easy. my paternal grandfathers sister did all the leg work a few yrs back. on my fathers side, his family migrated to switzerland from sicily and changed their name. dropped the 2 vowels in the beginning & end...and adopted a swiss "type" name. they did so to get jobs in NYC other than bricklayers - which was what the rest of the family ended up doing when they jumped the pond. mom's family left germany before hitler lost his 'effin mind. they settled in a farming town in SW VA and never practice their jewish faith. being blonde was a plus - they fit in. can you hear denial???? guess they did what they did - all around the same time. when my great grandfather died & i was cleaning out his brownstone w/my mom, we found his birth certificate - he had gone by the name arthur, but realized he was really antonio.....

Ug! Not "shrink-o"ing fast enough
luluc replied to Catherine55's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sometimes shocking the body is a good thing. eat more or less; different foods......same w/exercise - mix it up. you should also start taking measurements - a lot of times when the scale stalls your losing inches.....especially if your working w/a trainer. don't get too discouraged.!. -
yesterday - not much of anything today - 45min session w/trainer: upper body weights / abs / hamstring & glutt band exercises. 20min physical therapy on ankle. going to try doing some walking tomorrow on the ankle - take it slow; it seems to be getting stronger & no cardio for 2wks is a drag.

Do you floss your teeth?
luluc replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
i was given tetracycline as a baby for asthma & it made my teeth very week & a bit discolored. i'm regular w/my cleanings twice a yr - had zoom back in july and continue to bleach them around 4 times a wk. i had to have 3 extractions & implants put in in sept. i rinse with biotene mouth wash & floss almost all the time - i'm not overly regular about it but i do the rinse first before brushing each time. i understand dental healthy is very important - as poor hygiene here can lead to other illnesses???? makes sense. -
hahahahahaha , can't see marlee & me - the book crushed me * can't imagine the movie ... i have a "marlee" & he's just now at the perfect age of 5, but the early yrs - i could have written the book.....not a graceful lab:)

same here - i lived it. while me and my co-worker were decent friends, she complained that doing work on the wkend cut into her family time. i reminded here that , that was the only time i got to see MY husband before packing my suitcase on sunday night & coming home on thursday - while she WAS w/her family. i pushed back, pushed back, pushed back - and refused to pick up her slack....she lost all her "favors". when i stopped working she took over the travel portion & complains she's not w/her family anymore & the person hired to do the "at home" job abuses her. karma.

raw - in the dream we were making fish - yes after 5million pages. re coworker - DH made a good point; if you can use part of the day to surf & play w/out issue go ahead. not the same situation but me and a colleague shared the same customer - but because i had no kids, i was the one on the road all the time, while she worked from home in her jammies taking care of kids. i decided that i would only travel during business hours - not take calls after 6, and never on the wkend. it wasn't my style; but that line in the sand forced my boss to have her handle during those hours while i lived out of suitcase.

What's the longest you've gone between fills and still had consistent weight loss?
luluc replied to Losing_It_In_Texas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
probably a better question, however i had roughly 30lbs to lose at the time of my last fill - which i did & now maintaining. before then, i was going every month for a fill. -
oh diva - good to know, DH and i had been wanting to watch this. only caught one movie this wkend - it's golf season w/dh and i so we watched the legend of bagger vance - AGAIN, was on HD so we had to . i give that 4.5, love the movie.

luluc replied to Losing_It_In_Texas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i had a small fill last wk & my last one was in may '08. i lost 27lbs & have maintained it roughly during that timeframe. -
ha...LOL i cant' let anything fester - i would not have waited 2hrs on the treadmill. i would have tapped ms thing on the shoulder and said it's my turn.......but those boys created the drama for her (jillian) not to give a shit about training them when they first had their crying session out in the courtyard. whaaaaa i miss bob - cry baby men are a big turn off. re vicki - i think the producers realized like many of us that she was a bitch & probably did take advantage of her.....but she was a bitch none the less & therapy was probably a good thing - she finally got a chance to see herself the way many did & wanted to do something about that.
-
yesterday - b - slice ww toast w/hummus & muenster l- buffalo chicken sloppy joe in a lettuce cup w/blue cheese *pic attached* it was SO good!! s- some cashews & strawberries d- 1 stuffed shrimp w/crabmeat

my parents live in ocala - horse country. aside from key west it's my favorite part of the state. they actually get a bit of seasons being that north & the countryside is beautiful. susan doesn't live too far from there - she could give a better description of the state. cc - hope baby shane is doing well! heartfire - how do you manage your migraines? hope your feeling better glouc - it's freezing up here, well not really but 40 is close. similarly, i was in my bathing suit on sat. UGH...... **hope your not affected w/the layoffs**!!!

they ARE similar... dh is very affectionate/attentive - MUCH more so than i am. he's good w/gifts at random times. he hates bdays/anniversaries/xmas/valentines ..... he likes to "surprise" on other days outside the "half to ones"....odd can't wait to come down next month to "play" w/you guys -
-
ya know it's always going to happen - me it was wine last night....TOO much so:rolleyes: yesterday - b- fage cherry greek yogurt w/handful of fiber one cereal l- 4 chicken pot stickers s- chipolte cheddar cheese stick d- approx .5c chicken buffalo sloppy joe (no bun), several sweet potato fries s- wine:)

with all due respect, while this might apply to you - you can't attribute it to the masses who have had unfills. i have a friend that had her band removed 6 months ago and is losing weight as fast as those w/one. you can't lump this process for a one size fit all - i live w/a husband who is banded .... his journey is NOTHING like mine; but we got the same results.

that looks wonderful jamie - thanks for sharing. think i have all the ingredients @ the house now to make this for tomorrow:) i have a vegan couple coming over for brunch.
