i commend you working those artificial knees! i'm trying to let a small fracture heal & it's boring...... i don't have a swiss ball, but one like it - i do quite few free weight exercises on it ... not just for abs:)
-
sushi is also a great source of Protein - add some edamame in to the picture as well.... it's a very healthy choice of meal & i've not had any plateau that i could contribute to wkly sushi......i've stop losing, but i also think i'm maintaining at the moment. carbs (good ones) - i keep them in my diet & don't track, i need them for as active as i am.
-
drinking protein drinks or wine for liquid cals? i will say glouc - a few unfills that i had, that did in fact let me eat more shook a plateau & i started to lose again. just a thought.
-
i eat sushi often (today in fact for lunch), every now / then the sticky rice is a problem - but i have a lot of my favorite rolls made w/cucumber ribbon. i would have a had a hard time giving up sushi - good luck w/your surgery.
-
been doing my ab/arm/back/hip/glutt/hamstring/squat/lunges w/ free weights & band rountine that my trainer gave me every other day. i tried walking on the treadmill on sat morning and it just made my ankle swell - so still no cardio just yet. the weight training is getting boring; but my biceps & triceps officially have good muscle definition - wish i could say the same for my butt/thighs....still work in progress:) today - SAA,

Inexperienced surgeon (I'll be his 5th)
luluc replied to Bmaz's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
do a search on cleos mom (used an inexperienced surgeon). -
ha - LOL....i'm not getting on my scale till friday; i overdid it this wkend & know the 2lbs i lost last wk found their way w/maybe a friend on my a$$. yesterday - b - cinamon roll w/orange sauce, fresh kiwi/strawberry salad l- crab stew, med bowl s/d/s - chips (no longer lent) & dip, veggies / hummus, mango sorbet, crab cake, wine
-
good luck goluc & slim on your dr's visits, DH is off as well today before going out of town for the wk....so like a sunday around here - which is good since company just left & i have a feeling it's a 2 pot of coffee AM.

+ - 3/5% difference only. was surprised myself. i had a bit of depression while losing weight & it had more to do with beating myself up for letting myself go. once i forgave myself & took diet / exercise serious i was able to enjoy the small victories (cause i was a SLOW loser). what i realized was that i enjoy/repspect my body more now than when i was at this weight in the past. wish the band helped the head stuff out of the gate. ok - small break from cooking / company & more dogs than i can count.....happy sat all!

hahahaha it's my youngest brother, his wife & their 3 labs...... i just changed linens & lit a candle -

that would never cut it for me. my dr also prefers 3 meals only a day for those who do not exercise, maybe a daily snack. if your active - he suggests 1/2 snacks a day plus your 3 meals. i've stopped weighing & measuring but i eat around a cup of food or 4oz of food in one sitting - averaging around 1200 calories a day. my activity determines my hunger/meals - didn't do much today & have hardly had much of an appetite.....if i'm in the gym, i can chew my arm off before i can get to my next meal some days...
-
i noticed that too the other day - i love it!
-
dunk went fine - had to do it twice cause i'm a bit claustrophobic having my face submerged in water, even for a small period. dh is a scuba diver & i can't even float around snorkling. there actually wasn't too much of a difference between my dr's scale, trainers pincher, and the tank.....good news is that when i first starting working out my % of body fat (trainer taken) was 37 - today it's 19.2%. spent the rest of the day at our farmers market w/dh getting crawfish / crabs / veggies & fruit for company that arrives at the crack a$$ at dawn i'm sure......off to clean a guest rm....

marshmellow drop looks like fun... pear martini: 2parts vodka (i like kettle one) 1part pear liquor pear slice as garnish *if i don't have fresh pears i'll used canned & use half the pear liquor and replace w/a splash of the syrup from the can* beth congrats on the nsv!! off to get dunked & find out my "real" body fat #, that and get my bone density tested. dh decided to go w/me, thinks i've lost a marble or 2....happy good friday!

that sounds so good - i still do it the "bad" way....soak in buttermilk for an hr, then roll in panko breadcrums & pan fry in peanut oil.:rolleyes2: welcome back san diego mom - sounds like you had a great vaca!! yesterday - BAD day all around, but i was down 2lbs this am - might add a crap food day more often:) b- leftover chicken ravioli (2) l- grilled talapia & veggies s/d/s - all rolled into one, pear martinis, pumpkin seeds, chipolte cheddar cheese stick, few crackers, bag of peanut m&m's, cashews
-
what's a slap if in fact companies fold - employees are laid off; they hit the unemployment line? that's a reality not a caustic remark. on your last statement i quoted - i'm going with the glass half full mentality....i'm just going to hope/pray things turn around - at the end of the day it's only a few months out from mid term elections........the repubes should be actively getting viable candidates rather than slamming obama.
-
so while glouc's been hitting the tequilla - DH has been a martini machine. i like the pear variety myself currently..... full moon out????
-
don't disagree , then turn down the money - fold....enter bankruptcy & add more to the unemployment line. i enjoyed cc's response - i've found however that the socially responsible companies such as the one DH and i worked for are still profitable, no layoffs, and while my stock price sucks compared to '99 or '00 it's been pretty stable.

honestly - i've not "slimed", i understand it's like a frothing of your saliva with something that may not agree with you. anyone who has experienced - chime in. i have gotten food stuck / and PB'd (productive burp - food just comes back up) all while not taking my time and chew properly. good luck w/your consultation.

 ebony's boss???

while documenting may not "save" your job - it's great to have while negotiating your severance/mutual separation package. it also can halt the progression of the "manager in charge" future climb up the company ladder - if not result in some sort of demotion. a good positive attitude just sticks in the craw of the ones trying to bring you down......if you can stomach it on certain days it's worthwhile,

LOL - i need to go look, laura did look refreshed & perky when she woke up. no crust in the eyes, hair looking good ..LOL speaking of laura - i don't think anyone sees her as a threat; but she's been coming on strong lately w/her numbers and tara/helen, have less to lose than her. she might be a sleeper.

while directed @bjean, can i answer?..LOL personally, i'm not a fan of the business handlings - that's is what a companies board is for, to handle mis-managment/reckless business practices/loss of profits - etc. i DO think that if your going to accept funds to prevent the business from folding - there should be a set of conditions known up front of what's expected. meaning, crap didn't work - i expect a shake up, "board" i'm holding you accountable for a turnaround ... the firings took it too far. my old CEO, started collecting $1.00 in annual salary to keep employees working (he had millions upon millions) - that was 3 yrs ago & he still keeps that dollar salary. i think many of the companies seeking bailout funds could take a lesson. i see both sides of this coin. i worked in high tech sales, and i had a contract that said every qtr, my bonus was XXXX in addition to my commissions. i expected that to be fulfilled, like others in that same spot now.....
