i vote golf!:thumbup: congrats ebony! today - weight training routine minus squats/lunges. my ankle is really swollen and have been told to stay off it 3wks by ortho guy. since that's really not feasible; i'll def limit leg exercises (great my prob area):thumbup:

kat that is so funny - you complain here about MIL, i feel good about getting it out here as well. mine is just an overrall manipulative brat - who complains to me because her son wants nothing to do w/her. i found putting my fingers in my ear and going lalalalala to her works VERY well.....cause having a rational conversation w/a chronic hypocondriac makes my skin crawl. i know dh takes her to lunch about once a month & will cut out of wk and play a round of golf w/his dad and that is just fine w/me. i do the holiday obligatory stuff, never rude (other than the lalalala thing), send the appropriate cards (though i myself never have gotten one) & maybe do a diner out. that's about all i got. if she had her way she'd call/email me hourly - dh nipped that, though i did get an email wanting me to go w/her to the tea party in dallas, but that was more a slam to me that i voted for obama & dh let her know how tacky that was....love him for that. on the car front kat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's AWESOME!!!!!!!!

ahhhh 4:20 friendly. i'm w/you taps - while i enjoy the outdoors, the tm is best for me - as i walk faster/ with an incline.... otherwise, i stop at different neighbors, chat - or play w/the dogs along the way.

well which is it? your ok w/it being a personal decision, yet feel it's irresponsible not to share? with all due respect - there is nothing false about diet & exercise. the lapband does not go food shopping for me, does not cook my meals, does not haul my a$$ up out of bed and drag it to the gym when i'd rather sleep in. those are lifestyle choices - so therefore there's absolutely no false expectations i'm purporting out to others about my weightloss. my 3 cents.

does she work slim? cause smokes/beer would be "luxury" items - and she at one point was wanting food cooked for her. sorry she dismisses your son - but my guess it's probably for the best.......happy bday to him!

not sure about others - but i made this a lifestyle change. i shop & cook healthy meals & i exercise regularly. when i'm out w/friends i always order some type of fish/sushi - they see my eating habits changed, know i'm a gym rat ... so no one would ever question the weightloss other than what it is.

i agree with you catherine. i was banded the same day w/my husband and we have kept this private for 18 months now. i did tell my parents and brothers about 6 months out & while they are nothing but supportive i, rather "we" did not want watchful eyes - questions about slow loss (me) - food police... you name it. am i embarrassed? absolutely not, but managing my health & fitness is my business, one i don't feel the need to share. to those that are comfortable letting friends/family & the mailman know - have at it.....i don't particularly care to hear when someone has a BM, so i'm not overly interested if they had WLS or are just dieting & exercising.

the birdie nudges:) yesterdays walk was 2hrs, and i didn't do any weight training afterwards. ankle is swollen like a lime, so i plan on just walking once maybe twice a wk. today - my normal day off; it's so pretty out - i'm hitting golf balls to the dogs & will get to some gardening & pool time in.

i have ADD w/exercise as well - i get bored easy. which is why i like to go play golf / tennis / wii , etc to mix up the "gym routine"........ 30mins on one thing is about as much as i can do & then i move onto something else. again, wish ya'll go back to posting there .

i use creamy jiff. i had bought some organic PB and it was just GROSS. i blend (magic bullet) it first w/milk - then add in the powders/ice. yesterday - b- egg salad on half toasted english muffin l- pinto bean soup w/tortillas d- half chili relleno s- slice of pineapple

i get wkly updates from DH who passes by frequently. they are going to have to do something about the ticket prices however - just not realistic in this economy to shell out $2500 for a family of 4 for a single cowboy game. jerry jones has built a LOT Of corp suites - and they are still not all taken. i believe DH records the science channel on tivo - i'll have to go look at it .... it will be a beautiful stadium, home opener is against the gnats:) today - just called my neighbor, and plan on a slow walk. it's SO nice out this am - and i just need to move. will also do my weight training routine when i get back.

i'm in - i'll ping you today on FB the work to stay under 130 is just insane, and i like wine/food a bit too much to give it all up, so i guess i'm where the bod has decided to given my lifestyle w/diet & exercise. ditto - suppose to be beautiful out in TX today! re snakes - i am around all kinds of critters each day. you will hear me from canada if i see one. ps - hey diva girl!!!!!

welcome tmg333! san diego mom - 4.5cc's wasn't / isn't enough for me, but that might be alright for you. i'd give it 2wks or so and let it settle to see if it "takes". kc - i got unfills when i couldn't get lean meats in, or rather they took an awful long time/work. we know the crap stuff goes down WAY too easy. congrats allie!!!! **i NEED to keep chips out of my house, rather DH needs to keep the damn chips OUT OF THE HOUSE** , ok feel better:tongue_smilie: yesterday - b- skinny dolce/cin latte / half slimfast bar l- ahi tuna w/field greens s- too many CHIPS :crying: d- baked sweet potato w/sweet sour cream sauce, glass of chardonay

that's great beth! ebony - never thought of pre-teen clothes; ya made my day. heather - the goats are too cute; i can't get them to sit still and get a decent pic ... kat i told DH about making soap, and he said he'd believe it when he sees it (meaning i'll never do it). he's afraid he'll come home from a business trip & i've invited them into the house...LOL i won't - but it's good to keep him on his toes.!

is that why you dropped off the exercise threads? missed ya!!! i think the 7lbs sounds like a good # - seems to be about the same as mine, i just don't ever anticipate getting lower.....nowhere but up is the future, while figuring out how to stay put.. long lunch w/girlfriend & been outside playing in garden - pretty day in dallas (75 & sunny)....while i like rainy days - it's been 4 straight & it's nice to see the big yellow ball in the sky:) beth - i hope you find something soon!!

question for you - and not sure the difference in WLS matters much....but did your dr talk about a bounce back number? i got as low as 123, but didn't stay there long & hover around 128-131 most days. i try not getting too hung up on that number, and with the weight training i do - my body definition is improving & body fat seems to go down. just wondered if anyones dr talked to them about a stabalizing number that may not be your lowest. my surgeon says not to worry - but i also know i can't let up exercise or i WILL gain fat lbs back... curious... thnx beth/taps:)

been easy to get lost in FB - * congrats mac! * kat, i remember your SIL doing the fills/unfills to eat & such and always wondered if something would happen. be interested in that story. * taps, hope this fill doesn't give you trouble like the previous one. don't get discouraged about the 1lb, your amongst many bouncers :thumbup: * small NSV, my friend stopped by on sat night on her way back home from austin; she had her daughter & friend w/her. we already had company over and the girls wanted to hang their feet in the pool. i gave them a pair of shorts to wear & they fit perfectly.....they're 11yrs old...

did not really watch many movies this wkend; catch up on tivo....but dh & i did watch heckler. this is pretty funny - whether you like him or not jamie kennedy takes it upon himself to interview hecklers/critics who bash his movies/standup acts. many, MANY other comics are in this documentary & it's worth watching - you'll def laugh!
