g4e - have you looked online for virtual jobs? a friend of mine left our former employer 2yrs ago (she was an admin assitant) and she now works for 7 executives, who are located all over the country. she actually takes in MUCH more than her original salary and out of the comforts of her home, she's a new mom. she does their travel, expenses, scheduling of mtgs....nothing over the top - but each pay a certain amt an hr, which adds up to close to $32ph and she probably clocks in 5hrs worth of wk a day. she has to be flexible time wise as all are in different time zones - but again, doing it all at home is a great assist to their family. just a thought.

i can go up 4lbs just having too much sodium in my diet - i wouldn't get crazed about it, but i would try to limit your grazing. the band will totally let you eat a bit here / there over the course of the day & those calories will add up.....especially if your not countering it w/calories out (exercise). re - salmon, either you ate too fast or it might have been too dry. -
honey, apple cider vinegar, peanut oil....
-
my surgeon told me the same, knew i would need to go over 8ccs to get any kind of restriction......my bmi was 36 to start.
-
michelle - i still track my food/exercise & taking measurements is a really good idea. i have been asked if i'm still losing weight because the weight training is paying off.. but i do eat a lot compared to some .. bike ride was great - didn't go around twice but did shy of 24miles.....was SUCH a pretty day.!. susan - sorry your dealing w/crap again!!! (((hugs)))

check out this thread: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/share-ideas-what-did-you-eat-today-36828/index258.html to get an idea of what people are eating - there are other threads in the food/nutrition section to get an example. i will still have a Protein shake / smoothie several times a wk. i try not to treat them as a Meal Replacement - even though it might be the first "meal" of the day. pills - not such a problem, but i don't take anything other than an asprin here/there.

i've called my trudy for a LONG time, since my port has pro"truded" out since early on.

i'm guessing this thread will soon be moderated~ anyway to the OP - hit the complications forum. VERY rarely does anyone who ate early out or advanced their post op diet have issues right off the bat. you never know what could happen during the healing stage, that will show up months, yrs later. it's hard to say , so to be on the safe side.....follow your post op diet as best as possible. i myself advanced but only by 2 days and after an appt w/my surgeon & his OK. indshark - i myself was a pretty devoted the moment i woke up from surgery & barely lost 30lbs 6 months out. i think your being pretty hard on others - but that would just be my opinion, like everyone else here gets to have. -
**LOL** susan, i won't lie it hurts.....my eyebrows never have though. you want to make sure you go to someone who has been doing it a while.....a slip up of wax a further bit south could lead to problems (ie - bathroom) the good thing - it lasts a LONG time before hair grows back & it grows in less.

beth - i didn't know you blogged, need to read! g4e - hope the fam situation works itself out! today - FINALLY the sun looks like it might stay out all day rather rain for the most part. packing a lunch for dh and i - mountain biking around a lake near us. i'm hoping to hit around it twice (makes that 37 miles) but DH said he had his doubts (about him - not me..LOL) happy memorial day!!

i wake up HUNGRY, which i think is a good thing - considering that when i was fat, my first meal was around 1-2pm minus my huge latte. i have been getting up around 4-5am to give an insulin shot to my golden retriever. while not ready for a meal, i have been grabbing an atkins Protein shake, or making my own......deal w/the dogs & ranch....then have some kind of breakfast around 10am before hitting the gym. my husband is also banded - can't eat a lick till after 3pm; he's a night owl....me not so much. i'm good not to eat after my diner....but he packs in 85% of his meals from afternoon on. it' hasn't impacted his weightloss, or made mine any more effective....... if however your not able to eat till later in the day, and still hit bed early; the advice given is correct.....an unfill is suggested.

yesterday - spin class/upper body weight training with DH, then after lunch went for a bike ride around the lake, very leisurely today - spin class/11 holes of golf before it started to rain tomorrow - weather dependent, i'd like to ride our bikes around the lake twice (37miles) .. but it's up to the rain. otherwise, back at another spin class & weight training.

yesterday - b- mocha latte protein shake s - organic waffle w/peanut butter l- tuna wrap d- 3oz teriyaki chicken w/warm ginger slaw (carrots/cabbage/green onion/pickled ginger - w/honey/vinegar dressing)

i thought the same thing - she never took her robe off when she disclosed her bikini bod on oprah. i personally am not knocking KA, gaining weight in private was hell, i couldn't imagine doing it while the tabloids make a living over someone gaining weight. i just no way believe at her heaviest she was 230.
