good morning all~ * kat, i had been doing collagen implants for several yrs now - they really work & i'm not interested in a permanent plug. * ktork, sorry about the insurance dibacle....i had seen a PBS special on insurance companies. they are going back and reviewing MANY if not all claims paid on their clients to find loopholes to recoup those monies. specifically as it pertains to pre-existing conditions. very disturbing, but very much happening. * suzy, hope the next job comes through for you. what field are you in? sorry if you've mentioned that before. * taps, glad the crud is starting to leave!!! * slim, i have a 117lb lab that climbs into bed w/me during storms & he likes to lay sideways.... * construction crew here, demo'ing the master bath - why on earth do folks put wall to wall mirrors all over the place????

it is gross. but my dry eyes have kept me from getting lasik for yrs now, and contacts are out of the question. that skinny little stick of collagen is FAB vs the dry itching......reason - makeup is not much in my vocab. * slim, i sure hope you manage to escape the layoffs.*!! * ebony, hope your search provides a new gig here soon.

the ARE!!! left eye is teary, won't let up & that's strange cause i have such dry eyes that i get collagen implants in the tear ducts twice a yr...

i have no problem so long as it's thin sliced & toasted well. thin crust pizza is also not a problem.

i'm not fond of BCBS & yes i found them to be cruel. before even meeting w/our surgeon, DH and i got a copy of our policy. it specifically COVERED WLS - no 6 month diet but the criteria was simple: BMI over 40 w/1 comorbid BMI under 40 w/2 comorbids i didn't qualify, but tried anyway - denied next day. my husband however, had a BMI of 42, HBP/sleep apnea/High Cholest./borderline type 2 Diabetes. BECAUSE he was on NO medication - BCBS denied him. while on the phone w/them, i asked them specifically where that is noted in my policy......not even a "fine print" existed. i told them that making decisions on the fly was pretty unethical & hung up. we didn't even try to appeal & went self pay right away. the first chance we had to drop them in the next open enrollment we did & very happy w/current plan. current plan has covered every test / office visit / fill / 2 endoscopes / hernia repair etc. so - not a fan & can understand your frustration.

yes - i have an addiction to the show & can't wait for the season premier tonight. was at the gym this morning (24hr fitness) and they had new posters of michelle up - she LOOKS GREAT!!! great time of yr for a new season...

she has grown & gotten sassier by the day - she's barking at the big dogs taking a nap, to get up & play w/her....:thumbup: i do feel extremely lucky w/DH & feel i take advantage at times.....i try to make up for that when i can..:thumbup::mad2::thumbup: how are you feeling???

i happen to agree w/wannabthinagain. early out i kept my love for chips/queso/guac at bay till i got decent restriction - now my daily habit is a few times a month. sunday i had a cookie for the first time in maybe 9 months - i'm not a sweet tooth, and it really satifisfied me for another 9.....chips on the other hand, while i don't deny myself - i do have to monitor/check myself.....much easier to do w/restriction. i think most will agree it's about moderation, no matter how you manage that vs denying a craving & binging later on.

well - your being smart in my opinion. re- bible passage, i'm not overly religious - nor was i raised in the same faith as my husband... i remember when we first started to discuss me no longer working & mapping out a plan - we joked the "toys" & trips would come to a hault & he said that while the joyride might end - he rather me find something i'm passion about vs earning the check. that is when he first brought up that bible passage. i'm still figuring out what i want to be when i grow up - but it's not as urgent at the moment & he's carrying the load now w/out complaint. & no you can't have a puppy....LOL :mad2:

* plain, i'm good w/late may early june. afraid any later in the summer, will be too hot for those not use to texas summers. memorial day where peeps have an extra day off? ranch is plenty big for the gathering - pool/hot tub, lots of land to roam....:mad2: * taps, hope your eyes are feeling much better. * kat, very happy all well w/DH. saw that late last night on FB - what a relief! * glouc, the gentleman was very inspiring. had me up at 4am today to hit the gym, cause i need to be home w/contractors about. the smile on his face made the dark ride to the gym much easier. * beth, MAN i don't know how i would handle your situation at ALL. no secret that DH and i don't share many of the same political / religious view points - but try not to disrespect one another. i brought your situation up to him and his said in the bible it was the man's job to provide for family. i am not quoting directly the passage he gave me, but he firmly believes in that......so that similarity we share:blush: sounds like moma babied' him just a tad too much, that personal responsibility is not high on his priority list.....just doesn't sound like the person i visualize you with. hope i don't offend you by saying... * OK - back to puppy training 101; she doesn't like to share her toys.., see pic

oh i am SO glad you got your surgery.!. like coloradomom said - stay on top of your pain meds, it does get better. congrats!

i don't like to be that tight, in fact when i have been - it halted my weightloss....a small unfill sometimes is the best route to go, so your able to eat.??. yesterday- b- greek yogurt w/blueberries l- spinach salad w/seared filet (about 2oz) s- few pretzles w/hummus d- steamed spinach w/cream sauce & pasta - less than a cup worth

that's great~! ya know what i have noticed is that i park FAR away from any store.....where i use to circle around the parking lots waiting for that front row person to swoop up on. sobering moment at the gym today. i went begrudingly, as DH is on a super kick ..... and while walking on the treadmill - i glance back at DH on the stairmaster talking to a guy on the life cycle (that ski machine). as i go meet up w/dh to stretch afterwards i realize why this guy had an unusual jerky move to his routine. he had a prosthetic leg & just got it after an injury in the war. it shamed me some that here i was bitching that i didn't want to go today & this guy was overjoyed to......

& the rain hasn't stopped - 11 inches since friday night. the pond is full & the dogs are tired of being inside....just spent according to DH TOO much money on dog toys; but i had to remind him that it was still cheaper than our shoes....puppy is all "mouthy". *ktork, congrats on the race & glad you and michelle were able to meet up.....!!! *taps - sorry about the cruddy eyes. did you try to hit the drs up again today? sounds like a really nasty infection. take care of yourself. *slim, i got nothing for ya on the co-worker - other than i would keep my distance.??. laundry awaits:)

i gave them all up, as i experienced a metallic taste after the fact. i will add stevia, to tea - more so for my husband; me, i could really go w/out.

ahhhhhh, that sound you hear is me grinning. dh just called his mom with whatever excuse he was giving her to not meet them for dinner. w/all the travel - cozy rain he wants to just veg & i could not be any HAPPIER.
