No, not at all. I have tuna sashimi every wk and never a problem...Some rolls that have the sticky rice can take for ever to get down - I've given up on some of those...but sashimi is completely OK & a great source of Protein.

Ohhh I had a Sophie..she passed 2yrs ago. Loved that dog! I'm the biggest sucker for pups - yours is quite beautiful..Spoiled much??...LOL

No running :cursing:, at least a wk. Went to Dr. & had xrays *both knees* - looks to be Arthritis, but will know more on Thurs...Having an MRI tomorrow...Doc said take it easy w/weights and running for a wk because there is some inflamation.....No idea what the fix will be??? My mom has Rheumatoid Arthritis and didn't catch it till her late 50's, and now her little feet are held together w/pins. She's tiny = 4'11, 95lbs wet.....SO I get your fantastic NSV Wombat, having a tiny Mom!..Congrats to you.. So I'm not giving up - on a tad of a break, this wk only..HA! -

WOW Trystelle - Amazing weightloss results!!!

I luv puppy breath!!! I breed Labs (one litter a yr - nothing crazy) and I would go with a crate in the beginning, in a room away from everything else (can be the laundry room too). Problem leaving her in the laundry room is she can do some damage, in a crate by herself - no toys for a while, she'll learn to make it her own. Be consistent - each day put her in there for a set time, even if your home so she learns to use it like her own "house/bed". Kat - How's DD pup doing?? Lulu!

WOW !! Whosya that's INSANE 10K!!!!!!, and then a light swim...you crack me up! Well I ran yesterday, first time in a wk - tried something different wanted to see how long I could run w/out crashing. Did 16mins straight, but the dang knee still is a pain. Think I might hit the Dr tomorrow, but DH said he might tell me I can't run & I need to be able because the scale must be broken. Going to do the bike / walk treadmill today - Catch ya'll ltr. -
Well, I thought I was being informed in my comments based off the fact I read the flyer on my CAR left by Walmart while shopping - Advertising Doctor facilities in the near future (including Dental). That flyer suggested a solution to those uninsured & broke - so I didn't throw that out to be flippant. Would I use these - No, maybe as a last resort.
-
Lauren congrats on the NSV!, Makes shopping a bit more fun. Mindy you look great! I found a before Pic last night (the only one I think I allowed to be taken @a wedding) and I'm just SO reluctant to post before/after pics right now - You rock for sharing!
-
I love these NSV's - as much as the before / after pic thread:) Congrats everyone!!!! So have a few more this wk - the scale has decided to freeze up like the weather, so I"m going to guess that working out has helped with: * New Wedding band bought last year, slips off * Watch that need links added (which I didn't) fits perfectly now * Shoe size gone from 8 1/2 to and 8 * Size 10 Jeans fit comfortably * Have only one chin now

What to eat after a fill and for how long
luluc replied to caligal's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I do 2 days of liquids (shakes/soups), then back on to solids slowly as I can handle. Each Dr is different, mine prefers I work back into solid meals by day 3/4 after a fill (he's not much a fan of liquid meals). -

I prefer Yoga over Pilates. My gym has a class called "Core Central", it's a combination of the two - which I enjoy a lot. I've been taking this class once a wk for almost a month now to shake / change things up a bit. Plan on going this AM:tongue_smilie: -
I must say living in the sticks Walmart is all there is. My small town had a vote over a yr ago whether we wanted a Super Target or Walmart Superstore (the Green/Beige design - Not Walmart Blue..) Walmart won of course - and I gotta say it is spotless clean, friendly people, and open 24/7. I'm not sure if there is a push to convert some "older Walmarts" to the Superstores, but there is a HUGE difference...aside from certain brands & items the one by me gives Target a run for it's money...and I'm a BIG Target fan.
-
Never, but I'm venturing to guess this is to reach some of the thousands who are uninsured & broke.
-
I started walking immediately, just increased time as I felt stronger & got more calories in, didn't get weights involved till wk 6 postop. Was not active at all prior - You got a great jumpstart!!

Ya'll are a rather great group to chat within this process! Whosya - your such a BA runner now!!!, your also kind to post encouraging words daily.., stranger - good luck w/wk 6!! i understand the "slow losing thing" i did well in the beginning then have slugged through the weight loss lately, even tho fill #4 has got me extremely restricted. the scale better move tomorrow, i weigh on fridays only. wombat / mindy - wk 2 is better than not running at all..you 2 are almost at goal!!!!! txgirly - less than a month out, getting excited?? can't wait to follow your progress So the knee is still annoying, took today off and literally have done nothing but let a bunch of Labs lay on top of me today ..... -
today: b - black coffee / 3oz turkey sausage l - 1 salmon cake d - 1/3c grnd beef w/cheese s - handful of almonds
-
doing well - i think i might end up being in the slow loser club, but i'm ok w/that so long i keep to plan...how bout them giants????

So Ousooner , I get and respect that position, have many family that have that same opionion..Can I ask, do you really think Charity & Such works, outside the "Charity Begins at Home Theory"? I don't see charity working the way many would like to rely upon it. I volunteer (nursing home & local ASPCA) and the people who give more are the ones who need "assistance" the most. Contribution goes a whole lot further than writing a check, it could be cooking a meal, sheltering a dog in need of a permanent home, or just sitting and spending time with an elderly person who hasn't seen a family member in wks. I'm not sure the $300 would go to any "abuse" - like maybe a War...Guess you can tell what offiliation I am...Again respect your thoughts,
-
Wow Josieb - Your almost at goal & within a year, that's fantastic!!!

Ah Fairy, I love your thread. I grew up on Long Island, and my mom took me into Manhattan all the time growing up to see shows (my dad & brothers weren't such fans). Didn't see hair but here are a few that I just loved: A Chorus Line Evita La Cag aux Folles The Wiz Miss Saigon I literally could go on...When DH is not home I blast my soundtracks:)
