Chris, that was a Wall Street Journal Poll, and I heard it on the Today Show as well. I'm venturing to guess the popularity of Ron Paul is that he is very vocal about the troops & their Quick/Safe return home., and he has stated many times that the invasion of Iraq was done under false pretenses & done so UnConstitutionally. I personally agree with him on this topic...the rest of his ideas, well easily push me towards a Democrat.

Interestingly - I read this past wkend in the WSJ, that in a poll of Military Families (not a poll fan myself - but this caught my attention) their choice of Presidential Candidate was ranked as follows: 1. Ron Paul 2. Barak Obama 3. John McCain I firmly believe that Obama can capture Republican & Independent voters in his direction, can't say that about McCain. Yes he'll get a share of Independents, but I've yet to hear a single Democrat say they'll be voting for a Republican - McCain. As of this morning, McCain has other problems - the possibility of an Affair with a lobbyist in the Telecommunication Sector while he was Chairman of the Commerce Commitee..... Guess the Race is Truly "ON"... Be Safe Chris!!!!

Green, I could go ON, and almost sound like a star struck fool - because in a way I was. His biggest round of applause came when he said, "no matter what - in Nov when you cast your Ballat...GW Bush will not be on it" ... , and that was in TX,!!! 'bout spit my water out...LOL. He was very big on Education / Healthcare & getting us out of the War. There weren't too many barbs regarding Hillary, he saved those for McCain - like he knew that's what the race will be. He sounded very confident / very passionate & VERY Presidential. It truly was fascinating and SO glad I went. The last time I heard a president speak was when I was in college and that was Bill Clinton. I thought Clinton had folks crazy,.... that was nothing. Again, I people watched like crazy - and chatted up w/everyone around me. People taking the day off from work - Teachers bused students in - and a Nursing home Downtown transported several Elderly to catch a glimpse of Obama, it was a "Wow" day.

So I got to take a sip of Kool Aid today = the frezy that is "Obama" & it was pretty remarkable. Driving dowtown, I realized "Wow" there is the Grassy Knoll - then I saw the THOUSANDS of people lined up to get into Reunion Arena and had an eerie feeling I would witness something extraordinary. And I did. I must say (MO only of course) - I don't think another candidate will have a chance against him. I could NOT get over how many young students were lined up.....I thought that was all there was (cause in line I was surrounded by 18-22 yr olds) till I got inside. So I'm going to Suck big time with the content of his words - because I was mezmirized with people watching. He had EVERY walk of life in attendance ... Including a lot of Republicans. It was a Pep Rally on steroids, and well why not, when you had Cowboy Great Emmit Smith warm up the crowd before Obama took stage. I was blinded by the camera phones going off left & right - He's got steam, and he's got people "Seriously" fired up , and that was fantastic to witness. So MIL was warned by DH last night that I planned on taking her....She LOVED it - best time we've ever spent together to be honest. Not sure she's a convert, but she sure likened him to JFK - in the sense he's got the youth excited & truly wants to bring something new and fresh to office. I should have her write up what she took from today and post here, to get a Republican opinion of Obama...that would be an interesting take.... Lulu

No I haven't. It's been described to me this way (by my PA) & if anyones heard something different pls contribute. Fills are needed, not because your loosing the saline "fill", but because your stomach & surround fat around it are shrinking. Like a belt theory, the more weight you loose, the tighter you adjust your belt. I'm on fill No 5 & My Doc does not want my meals to be liquid *other than the 24hrs after a fill*...I might look further into why your Dr will on give you 3-4 fills, that doesn't seem right from what I've read much here or in my own experience with my Dr & husband also being banded...

Findingme, I use an IPOD and my husband was able to group my songs based off the beats per second *so I'm running to the faster songs*...I'll ask him how he did that, I'm lazy technically **I ask him to replace batteries in remotes**. I think somewhere in this thread there a several links to MP3 Download that you may want to check out. Yeah Mindy!!! Glad your starting back up, DH thinks I'm more accountable to this thread than I am him...HA!! -

Hey Bigbaby - I am NOT fast *typically 4.1-4.4*, and do not run on an incline. If I'm just walking on the treadmill, I'll kick up the incline - but not on running days (I have enough struggle)..LOL Anyone still looking for sports bras those "Enell" ones are Fantastic - The girls stay in place:tongue: -
I guess I should be thankful my Dr is a bit on the aggressive side (if we want of course) on fills. I always make sure they withdraw the amount that was in the last previous fill *to check for leaks* and know how much they put it (usually .2cc to .5cc). Rharriet - that soup looks GREAT!!!

Good Luck with your upcoming Surgery!

I might have more to chat about than Obama...Ha!! She's commented she "likes" Obama, but she also likes Wine - but won't let anyone other than me know:tongue2:

My Bad - She is SOOOOOOOOOOO not Catholic, that would be me..well Catholic Lite Now: Episocal. She's "Assembly of God", her Dad was a Preacher in that faith .., so was her FIL. Can you just see family gatherings with my "Liberal" parents and them ** I have to warn my parents** for DAYS not to bring up Religion or Politics - but that NEVER happens. Thank God for the "Lesbians" (my SIL & Partner) - brought my Inlaws down to Earth on a lot of their Church Doctrine...Anyway I digressed, I'll definitetly post tomorrow Evening ...

Whole heartedly agree, however your posts come across Aggressive, Angry & Insulting...you can educate w/out doing either, and be much more effective. If your intentions are true - your added value of knowledge is appreciated, but not at the cost of slamming individuals who may have made an informed/educated decision for "Them" w/their Doc. Just because it's not your choice *or your Opinion* of inferior product does it make it so. Sorry if I offended questioning your identity.
-
I'll definitely let ya know how it goes - looking forward to it, as I'm on the fence. As far as MIL goes **she loves politics** she'd much rather be there than have MY undivided attention no matter who the candidate is . Secretly I think she's a fan, but her church would ex-communicate her if they knew...:cursing: Benny Hinn, now thats funny.

Thanks Whosya & Wombat - I'm just stoked about running and how much better I'm personally feeling (:ohmy:did have some wine last night)...The scale FINALLY has moved, the up and down of 2lbs over 5wks gets OLD - VERY OLD. Have a Great evening all....PS: Snowing in WI Whosya???? that pic is Great, but sorta looks fake ****though know differently**** -
I don't know who Redstar or Isuza is - but I read this thread yesterday and realized there was just to much "Evangelizing" going on to not be suspect of Her/His intentions. I'm sorry you came somewhere to get support / informed, and got sidetracked by someone with an agenda. Wish you the best,

Anyone ride horses? How long until you rode?
luluc replied to Tater's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It was very hard not to get on my Big Guy - But my Dr. had me wait 10wks. I was a slow healer & had port pain well into Wk 6 that he suggested a few more wks....but your Doc will know whats best for ya. Go riding just about every day - no issues other than I'm lighter and it's a LOT easier to get on/off!!! -
I'd make a big pot of lentil soup & let it cook all day to get soft. After my fill, I always pull a frozen container of them out and eat on them for 24hrs. They're filling & a good source of Protein....

I need something for energy!!!!
luluc replied to kaninag's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Actually my OBGYN did suggest the shots. I'm Anemic (not severe) & have Low Blood Pressure...My periods were extremely draining and I had no energy. Because I'm a bad pill taker - we just decided to come in for monthly shots. I just pay my copay of $10 and I'm good to go. My PCP is not someone I rely on much other than to get a referral - or a Antibiotic Script. He doesn't even know I have the band . I would def contact your OB!! -

luluc replied to kaninag's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get a B12 shot every month from my OBGYN & have prior to and post surgery. It helps a lot, as does a cup or 2 of "Joe" in the morning. I was a HUGE Diet RedBull fan prior to surgery *Diet Coke as well*... I've only tried it once, and like you kaninag...it was nasty. -
ugh - post didn't go all the way thru., Anyway - I only weigh on Fridays - but after trying on a pair of 8's yesterday and I got them over the thighs w/out bleeding , I figure I'd sneak a peak at the Scale - down 2lbs, first time in I think 5wks the scale moved...So, LJM, like you I think I need to throw the scale in Hubbys truck so not to get obsessed again.
