    Ugh I need a fill!

    hey grace - they head hunger will likely last till ya get to a good restriction level. it took over 6 fills & 5 months for me to stop opening the fridge when i knew i wasn't hungry. i keep a variety of flavored waters, and typically grab one when "trolling" for food. i made a LOT of "small" deals w/myself, like - can't have some raw almonds till i drank this bottle of Water - can't have XXX for diner if i didn't work out,... stupid things, but sorta kept myself accountable - also tracking food each day in calorie counter for the first 3 months. hope you get to the right fill for yourself soon!!! it's a bit annoying the wait game!!! ps - dr felts patient myself:)

    stranger i got very aggressive w/working out by getting my trainer to do a boot camp w/dh. twice a wk, no 2 workouts the same bumped things up. i understand the running & thinking it would speed along the weightloss - i thought i had to do hard cardio all the time, not paying too much attention to weight training. i've found that i have to change my exercise routine up frequently & my food choices. i have a habit of getting into a rut with both, and for 3 wks i have payed a lot of attention to mixing things up. getting restriction for me was like an act of congress - took forever. i was STARVED after a workout & had to use that damn willpower crap, that i could have easily hurt someone. i could go every 2 wks to get a fill if i wanted but, i seemed to avg every 3wks. right now i'm 8.5cc's in my 10cc band, and that is all i want. now - i'm avging' the couch 5k run twice a wk .... Might try to go further after boot camp ends in a month:rolleyes:
  4. i eat tuna/egg salad a lot. i make both with a little miracle whip / white wine mustard / "hot" chow chow / green onion / celery. i don't like it too "soupy" so i measure about a table spoon or 2 of the above for 1pckt of albacore white tuna. i've been having some issues w/crackers & bread - so i've been putting the tuna on a cucumber chip...

    i waited & weighed 3 days to make sure i hadn't lost my mind in losing 7lbs in 2wks - but this AM even with PMS bloating i'm still down. 2 good fills & working out like mad has helped - watch, i'll be 148 for a month or 2:)

    How often do you get fills?

    I have to agree here as well, that a 4 month wait is not acceptable! Are you self pay or Insurance paid? Are your fills covered in the surgery cost? I would have a HARD time being told I would have to wait that long, as a self pay that I was - and had already paid in advance for my yrs. worth of fills. Them having "man power" issues - should not be yours. I do hope you get in soon Btr, getting to restriction is tough enough with a cooperative staff!!! Good luck!

    Hey Nurse Niki - I think I was 2months post op when I started this. I pretty much walked up until then & started weight training at that time as well. Welcome aboard!!! Got my time to 29.5 mins right now - YEAH!!! And I like the scale at the moment.:thumbup: Big Baby - I've read in another thread some have used spanx underneath their workout clothes if that helps??
  9. yesterday- b- 1/2c smart start cereal *2% milk & strawberries l- 2oz turkey meatloaf d- 1/2c cream of potato soup w/chives s- had a bunch of nuts/peas, didn't measure

  11. I keep a bottle of Vitamin E Baby Oil in the shower and have put that on my scars since surgery, Today, they are about 90% gone. I think genes/skin tone play as large a part in the healing as would some cream or oil - but I still wanted to get rid of them, and the oil (Dr recommended) seemed to do the trick for me. Tanning "might' make the scars worse, I think I heard that once - could totally be wrong on that. I just started using some self tanners to see how they do, ..:biggrin:

    He does yell at me most of the time - more like a "stern" talking. I have the "I can't lift that much, run that long" attitude, and he doesn't put up with it. Which IS good, cause I wouldn't stretch myself if left to do alone... I would be "bleeped" out a LOT if I was on the Biggest Loser - My trainer says I've developed "terrets" sp?, I say its the million squats:)

    Protien Drinks

    I like the EAS Carb Control Protein Drinks - Chocolate & Strawberry. They are 110 calories & 17grams of protein. After trying countless varieties, this is my current preference.
  15. That is HUGE!! When my scale doesn't move, I get the tape measure out. Are you taking your measurements - Arms/legs/Waist?? I found when I wasn't dropping the lbs - the inches were coming off like crazy; with all the working out I was/am doing. Try not to get back into poor eating habits - mix up your meals some / change your Protein around. I find like with exercise, I can't "eat" the same things all the time (which I'm prone to do). I stick to eating 3 high protein meals a day & if I add a snack, it's a low cal/low carb one. I think it's easy to get in a rut with exercise / food - that a simple change up is all it takes sometimes, that and getting a metabolic checkup that Michee suggests... Good Luck!!

    Congrats Whosya / Mindy re: Weight Loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH and I are still in "Boot Camp" - I'm probably getting just 2 days a wk in for running, but my time is getting better each round (I even snuck out early yesterday to the gym while family was still sleeping in - Never would have done that!!). Boot camp is just pshyco training, the lbs & inches are falling off of us WAY fast (that and a good fill :wub:). "Supposdly" I've lost 7lbs in 2wks - that's just insane for me, I'll wait till we're done to see where I end up. Have a good wk all~~

    can you feel the port?

    I have felt mine since day one. The more I loose though the further up it rises:) I'm going to bet I'll have an "outtie" port button once I get to goal - I'm bottom heavy, and I lost my tummy fat FAST - I'll keep it as a reminder that "pasta is bad for me"..LOL

    NEED a good sports bra.

    I swear by Enell Brand - When I started to run, I all but duck taped the "Girls" down. At 34DD, I've never owned a sports bra (or bra for that matter), that propped me up, and kept me "intact" like Enell - I wish they made bras...the VS ones just don't give me the support:)
  25. Yeah I snacked up until my 5th fill when I got restriction, and will sometimes after a heavy workout. My Dr is against snacking too - but he realizes I'm working out hard, and will need something extra on occassion, so his recommendation is raw nuts or jerky. I think it's darn near impossible to stay satisfied w/3 meals till you hit restriction...Just make sure your snack is low cal/low carb - You should be fine!!
