i don't think losing slowly can determine whether you'll need a nip - tuck. my surgeon swore i would need PS to get to my goal (his was 140) & i made him bite his tongue last wk while getting an unfill. so much i think comes into play - skin/genes/how long over weight/exercise.?? i'm creeping to goal of 125, and i'm a shorty - 5'1 on good posture days, but was always active *pre fluffy yrs*. as a pear shape, my upper body has no issues (no kids) - my bum is finally off the back of my thighs .. but i have thighs that could go on for days. my goal is to get them solid & am getting close, not so much the jiggly going on. i don't see PS a necessity at the moment, the double D's perked up to D's and they were my only concern of needing a "lift"...

hi karey - do you have issues walking on a treadmill? it could be terrain changes walking outdoors, which would make sense that a walking stick could ease some of the pain.. today: 2mile bike warm up 50 min trainer session: half lower body (squats/lunges/quads) half upper body (bi/tri/shoulder) 3mile run - interval training similar to couch 5k...

luluc replied to coltonwade's topic in Fitness & Exercise
since i read your post daddy - i have that old 70's nair ad in my head: who wears short shorts.....nair w/short shorts..:frown: can't wait to hear about your tri this coming wkend - all the best, i'm routing for ya from TX!!! had 2 wks off fr trainer & picked back up today - he wants me running more . have been avoiding it to be honest but he has me doing the 5k in intervals that are crushing & i'm pretty sure i could have filled a kiddie pool w/the sweat this am.....keep up the good work all!!! -
i agree 100% w/this post! i was too tight, though i didn't go to soft foods - i pushed through the hard protein & meals took close to an hr to finnish. i was very lethargic, made it hard to work out - relied a bunch on Protein drinks and was AMAZED the scale did not move. i thought how can that be i'm getting maybe 900 calories in?? anyway over a 10 day period i had 2 small unfills - the last one being this past friday. since then i have enjoyed REAL food again, taking in well over 1200 calories & the scale has moved. 5.5lbs since friday!! my fill got tight over a 2 month period, it wasn't overnight that i couldn't eat normally....i thought this was how the sweet spot was to work - Wrong. my dr commented that your body can just shut down, you need to fuel it & never get to a point where you can't eat a balanced meal.

I bet he already knows. She may very well be lying to your husband, so to shield her family drama, however her husband can be the type to pretend this isn't happening and move right along. Sounds weird, but there are those that like to live w/a level of ignorance. My husband and I were caught between an affair with his best friend, and mine (each married to separate individuals). It was not fun - especially when the spouses kept hounding us if we knew something was up. We made a deal that we weren't going to be the ones to "fess up" - it was their deal not ours & we made them tell their spouses. The wife went nuts & took him for all he was worth (and he was worth some) - The husband wanted to forget it & move on ; stay w/my BF. She wanted no part of it - so she divorced & our friends are now married 5yrs. It hurt my husbands BF harder because he had teenage sons, that are just NOW starting to have a relationship w/him. My friend had no kids..... The impact an affair has on a family is Huge! I respect you trying to work things through, only time will let you know if you can actually move forward w/your husband. All the best to you!

I prefer to know my fill volume at all times. My sanity check that "what was in" is still there - no leaks. I just want to have a fill that will work properly. I've gone from 8.5cc to 7.2cc in a wk's time, and I believe that's going to be what works for me. I prefer to be less restsricted, lessons on the band journey..lots of trial & error along the way.

Gonna break down and get an UNfill...
luluc replied to TerriDoodle's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
had some potato soup last night and it was decadent to EAT & not get stuck!!! hope todays' unfill will do the trick. i had been reluctant to go back to the mushie stage for fear of staying there; not dealing w/the need to really get an unfil. the small one last wk didn't see to have helped - so i was able to get in today for another tweek. fingers crossed. -
blooeyes - your back!!!! yesterday - b- 1/2 venison sausage patty / slice of tomato l- half slice colby jack cheese d- 1c cream potato soup w/chives s- slice of honey dew

Gonna break down and get an UNfill...
luluc replied to TerriDoodle's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i LUV this thread! thanks terri. i am SO hungry to eat a meal. a full well balanced meal!!! i was at 8.5cc's in a 10cc band till last wk and had .5 taken out. since my last fill in mid march all of a sudden i got tighter, and tighter - i can't get enough calories in to workout properly. i hate drinking (protein shakes) my meals and have refused to go to the "soft side" for fear of what "could" happen. it's left me not able to eat a hot meal for well over a month; and it takes almost an hr to eat the smallest of hard protein meals. well the unfill wasn't enough - i'm going in tomorrow to get more taken out. i just feel lethargic & not nurished properly. i typically work out 5-6 days a wk, and i've only been twice this wk & not much effort put in - cause i got not much in me. this sweet spot chase is such a cat & mouse game - so much so that when i got there i didn't like it much. i'm hoping tomorrow night i can have a GREAT hot meal for a change! -
ya'll have some GREAT NSV's.!!!!. i enjoy these as much as seeing the scale move (well close) latest NSV for me was over the wkend @ the gym. i watched my hubby walk up to a woman on the elliptical - thinking she was Me. thankfully he didn't swat her a$$ w/his towel or pinch her butt - but he swore that was me; when he looked over he didn't recognize my upper body....he had to make note that my booty was the same, just didn't realize how i small i have gotten up top...LOL means i still have work on the bottom. tiny scale victory - had an unfill last wk & was under my dr's goal...hee hee - still not where i need to be since i'm only 5'1 on good posture days:)
-
i do the same thing - quick warm up (10min) on treadmill or bike; then do my weight training (w/trainer - twice a wk) - finnishing off w/cardio. lately i've been doing cardio only days which includes: stair master/ elliptical/ 2mile run.
-
I exercise 5 days a wk, yet pretty active all 7 days in general & I eat 3 meals plus one snack a day - keeping around 1000-1100 calories. This seems to work for me, I had tried eating 5 or 6 small meals a day - and all that did was halt my weightloss - the only time I really had a plateau. You might have to play around with your meals / snacks a bit to see what works for you and your lifestyle. Good luck w/your weightloss...

yesterday - b- 1 scrambled egg w/slice of tomato l- beef/been burito - inside only w/lg margarita :wink2: d- 4oz cottage cheese s- 1/2c cheeries & w/ 1/2 SB peanut crisp bar

a lot of dr's don't allow for snacks - mine is flexible on the matter. i train/workout 5 days a wk, and was not getting enough calories in - therefore what i listed are suggestions from my surgeon, as well as getting ideas here. it's just not feasible for me to burn 800 calories a session & get proper nutrition in - in only 3 meals. a lot of people are successful eating 5 small meals a day (not one of them) - i think nutritious snacks are important according to your lifestyle.
