    coming out of the closet...

congrats ljm, hope all works out for you.
  7. my husband and i were banded the same day. same as you; got fluffy after the I do's were said and our extremely active sex life dropped off significantly - and it was more on his part. he was extremely self conscious & unhappy with his weight gain. fast forward 8 months and it's back to our courting days, he's a teenager with the constant grabbing/touching/kissing - very affectionate. he made goal in 6months (hate men loose faster:tongue:), and i'm getting close - the weightloss has made a HUGE difference in our relationship - not just with sex.

    June Exercise Challenge

hi all - after talking w/my surgeon and my trainer, i'm taking my goal weight down by 8lbs to 117. I'm pretty short, 5' & can still see where my lower body would need to slim down some. As I crept to my original 125lb goal, I figured I would re-asses & so a new challenge is on & i'm going to step up the training for the summer. in addition to tsd/thurs - my trainer "trains" some members of the Baylor Football Team on Wed/Fri (early 5am) - i'm going to hit up Wed morning conditioning just to see how fit i really am..LOL. i'd like to be 120lb by the first of Aug - when i visit my parents who i havent' seen since i had the surgey...for me exercise is the only way i can get close to the scale goals set...... Sooooo.. today - 2mile run 50min training session - windsprints / ladder drills / squats / lunges , abs , shoulder - tri - bi plan on getting some swimming in later on... have a good one~
  11. i've gone from 8.5 (too tight) to 7.2ccs' with 2 unfills in the last 2+ wks. food just became such a chore, wasn't getting enough calories & the scale was up / down the same 3lbs for over a month. since the unfills i've lost 7lbs & can eat all the foods that were giving me a hard time: solid proteins/salads/some whole grains - etc. this has been such trial & error finding the 'right' spot to eat properly & loose, think this fill level might be just the right thing for me:tongue:, at least i hope:rolleyes:.
  12. yesterday - b- 4oz cottage cheese & small peach l- 5 chicken potstickers d- 5 shrimp cocktail w/ 1/2c roasted sugar snap peas s- 100cal cookie pack

    Need a break from LBT

i only replied to this thread - because quite frankly i find the "complaining of the complainers" more annoying. just MO. erica - with a month under your belt; you "could" be one who experiences complications & have only this forum to provide answers to some of your questions/concerns. hopefully you never have that happen, however be thankful when someone does reach out and provide some level of comfort to you should that be the case. i certainly hope you choose to use LBT to your benefit.

    Need a break from LBT

your post is like the 8th one in a 2wk span on the same subject.frustration with those who are having a difficult time / don't follow directions / can't wait for restriction / cheat on pre-post op diet / among a host of other complaints. can't you just move on to another thread that is of more interest - uplifting - or those that can provide guidance? i wonder why someone would get annoyed. some get it sooner, some not at all - OK, navigate yourself around to the threads of importance to you, and click the back button if the same old story is repeated for the hundreth time. LBT has been very helpful to me, if i've replied to a thread requesting the same informtion day after day - it's because i'm grateful to those who helped me out the first few months & don't mind providing assistance. you get what you give & you can use LBT how you want & don't = choices.
  16. hi momof5 - there are several exercise threads (monthly exercise challenge/couch to 5k/etc) out there in the "fitness/exercise forums". take a look there to see what everyone is doing - & join! for me, i work out 5/6 days a wk - 2 with a trainer. i don't consider it a chore, actually enjoy the benefits. all the best~

Why are people afraid of atheism?

fanny - do you call your own name out during sex? :behindsofa: sorry had to ask, immature as it may sound. i get your view - i don't share the same outlook; but as i said in previous posts in this thread - my faith is mine, i don't even share the same views religiously with my husband (and politically either for that matter) so i enjoy learning & understanding those w/an alternative perspective. it's the spice of life in MO.

  21. I heard McCain speak today that if he was running for a 3rd Bush Presidency, than Obama was running for Carters 2nd...Kinda cute:) To Jack's question: 1 - Best: Would go with FDR as well, but would have loved to seen what both Kennedy's would have been able to accomplish 2- Worst: Daddy Bush or Current one - take your pick

    Period talk.

I've had endometriosis for quite some time, and had put off a recommended partial hysterectomy to see how the band & weightloss would be. Not much has changed - periods are still heavy / painful, PMS still a PITA. For those suffering from endometriosis - my OB has now suggested an Endometrial Ablation rather than a hysterectomy. I wan't comfortable getting anything removed that didn't need to be, only to then suffer some form of hormone imbalance. This procedure, will just laser out the endo lining causing the discomfort. Scheduled the end of July for this - hoping this works, be nice not having to deal with TOM crap.
