lynn/smithkr - i do think your too tight, but my preference is to be less restricted. i've had 2 unfills in the last month because i could not get solid protein down w/out getting stuck, my meals were taking forever to eat, and i just did not want to rely on protein shakes as my meals. additionally, i wasn't getting enough calories in for being as active as i am - and the scale just wouldn't move, even though the calories were low. once i was able to get in 1100-1200 calories in, did the scale start moving downward again. this is a preference i believe, how restricted you want to be & what works for you with your weightloss. good luck!! yesterday - b- 1/2c kashi go lean crunch w/2%milk and fresh blueberries l- 1c cabbage stew s- slice of colby jack cheese d- 1.5c edamame s- 1/4c wasabi peas

anyone to take whosya up on his offer would benefit greatly. he's a special person who has graciously helped many along their WL journey....

well i use the term, and will continue to do so - because the word FAT, albeit a factual term resonates hateful emotions/reactions/and opinions of others. since i don't have a pet rabbit - but have a ranch full of animals; i DO have a fluffy golden retriever, who like her mom - is all hips & booty. she is stunningly beautiful - again like momma...who CARES what terms are used to describe the physical??

so froggi - the challenges are the ones you set for yourself. at the beginning of each month you decide your exercise goal - and everyday or several times a wk check in to rpt what you've done. go drill down into those threads to see what's posted to get a better perspective. if diet is also an issue - you'll find it's very easy to make healthier food choices if your active consistenly. lulu

that's pretty much my style. i have wavy hair - so the eintire cut is all done w/a razor so no blunt even'ness - very shaggy. back is shorter ; front comes down an angle below the chin. this works out so great if i want it wavy - no work; or straighten it out - takes 3 minutes.... btw - i swear i lost a lb or 2 after cutting the mop off:)

i say cut leslie~ 4months post op i chopped off 13+inches & donated to locks of love. since then my choppy bob gets shorter & shorter and i LOVE it - especially in this hot texas summer. my husband had a tad of heartburn me doing this - he loved my long auburn wavy locks - but they were just SO much and i realize i totally hid behind them as the weight packed on over the last 4yrs. enjoy your weightloss w/a new look - :smile2:

Novasure - Endometrial Ablation, same procedure I mentioned earlier, I'm scheduled July 23rd to get this done. my OB also put me on Sarafem last wk to take only 14days a month (14 days from the start of my period) to control some of the severe PMS symptoms. my emotions have gotten the best of me, i can be raging mad one minute - then cry at a AT&T commercial....no warning & SO not like me. i'm hoping the combo of the 2 will just nip the aggravation in dealing with PMS & Period Flow......

ceradad - good luck w/the 5k!! i respect the heck out of you guys running, really after this morning i felt like i could puke my kashi Cereal - sorry for the visual. today - 90min conditioning class w/Baylor Football players - talk about fish outta' Water. these guys were HUGE!!! & i'm 5'1 if i stand up straight. anyway, i can't really break down all that we did, because a lot was a blurr - but 60 of the 90mins was running. sprint drills / mile run mix, again bit of a blurr. i had to stop 3 times to grab my ankles and catch my breath, but i noticed a few players do the same:biggrin:

Husband and Wife teams, or Relatives who did it together
luluc replied to jlg's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
my husband and i were banded the same day in oct & it has been great to go through this experience together. we figured we got fluffy together, lets get fit side by side. it makes a huge difference with diet AND exercise having a check/balance, and since were pretty competitive - we're constantly trying to one up each other:tongue:. we did not tell a single person till after 5 months post op, and even then only my family knows we were banded. he's pretty private, and uncomfortable talking about having WLS. i'm actually glad we kept it to ourselves for a LONG time, cause we didn't have any "watchful eyes" while we were trying to navigate ourselves through the fill process & learning better eating / exercise habits. now, everyone knows we just eat better & exercise and that's really not a lie. as far as success goes, hubby got to goal around the 7month mark (men just seem to drop the lbs faster:rolleyes:..LOL) - me i'm getting close, i took my goal weight down the closer i got to my original # - but that is just a total personal preference. all the best to you 2~~ -
yesterday - b- 1 venison sausage patty & slice of honeydew l- 2.5oz grilled chicken s- 1c edamame d- 1c cabbage stew w/5 melba rounds s- half SB choc/peanut crips bar

vent away ann!! before the band, i ate basically 1 meal a day and picked all DAY long. i've read a few threads "whats the hardest habit to break" and making myself eat breakfast was #1 for me. i would have 2/3 starbucks in the AM, and first eat around 1pm & wind up having my dinner way too late *after 8pm*. i'm a crazed food journaler right now that DH feels i can give it up, thinks i already have the skills to eat right & properly....but i don't trust myself just yet, and this mind you comes from someone who hates structure, i'm very "from the hip" - don't like to plan type...but writing down what i put in my mouth finally let me get control of snacking all day long. kinda like when i couldn't see myself gaining weight till i looked at the pictures:eek: it shocked me how unhealthy my eating habits were. *one other thing i do other than journaling my food, is set a limit that i don't eat after 7pm.* this works about 80% of the time, some dinners just by dealing w/hubbys schedule don't happen till later on in the evening.
