brickgirl - i understand what your saying...i had to have an unfil because i could no longer get enough calories in; specifically complex carbs to fuel myself for workouts. i just didn't sign up for this to drink my meals, nor eat them after they got cold - i also noticed, as did you...my scale did NOT move when i was barely getting in 1000 calories. literally 3 days after my first unfil (had 2 / and recently had a small increase) the scale became a friend again. i really believe one has to play around w/calories - fill qty, along with your activity. hope it all works out!!

when i started working out with a trainer - i threw out a similar question in a thread here. i wasnt' getting enough calories in (per day - not just prior to workout) to sustain a hard session. i was weak & dizzy, a 4oz cup of yogurt or a protein shake (prefer EAS) wasn't cutting it. i had to play around with my food a bunch and for me, a fiber cereal with milk & fruit works best. sometimes i'll do a protein shake - but add a banana, oatmeal - but again, i add some fruit. around a 1/3c of food 40minutes before my workout seems to fuel me properly w/out having a "full" feeling or weak from lack of calories. good luck to ya!!

ummm, hadn't planned to go there - but that WAS the source of our issues; hubby's ex. there is now a 113k judgement against her, but i DOUBT i'll see a dime of that, but i still spent a fortune in legal fees. now how is that a "choice" i made or could result in choices made by myself or DH? she had his SSN/DOB/DL . you can't, so therefore - you deal.

as someone having lived/living through identity theft - i want to caution some who put out their real names/pictures - even on a support forum. you can never imagine what a toll this can take on an individual family.... my favorite was GMAC showing up to my home to repossess a truck i NEVER owned or purchased - but was bought by someone in MO, and well i live in TX.

want - i so understand your feelings. it might help i had the same thoughts, but i turned them - along with my OCD/Adult ADD into journaling = food & exercise. i made mini deals with myself & also only looked at losing weight in intervals of 10. i could not handle looking at the big picture (80lbs), i still try to keep my focus extremely narrow and i come here often - every day. keep this thread going, everyone slips - everyone has days not wanting to get up and workout.....having some level of accountability keeps you chugging along when you dont want. and the band is way forgiving:redface: -
i've read this thread with genuine concern & compassion for those going through the current mtg crisis. ms flipflops - i totally see where you are coming from (as a savings point only) - however life happens, no matter HOW much one can be prepared. i walked away 3yrs ago from my 6 figure salary to get a semblance of quality of life. with that meant i traded my benz for a pickup - we got rid of the "extras"; i became the maid/pool boy/landscaper/chef & the laundry god. we went to cash - no credit cards - no more lavish trips overseas; i became frugal for the first time. even with a strong savings, nobody could prepare for internet fraud that happened to DH and myself. $35k later, and STILL working to have crap taken off & out of our names --- one could never have prepared or "could" afford lawyers to get themselves whole. typically the "hole" gets deeper. i have wanted to post my progress pictures here a million times - but get caught up in internet fraud, well your more than reluctant to show a real face - for me i struggle because i have made some genuine friends here ... and would like to share my charming self (LOL); but i get checked. susan, et all going through these challenges.. you have my heartfelt best wishes. i truly hope life turns the corner & you have better days ahead. lulu

dr schulman - was advised on another thread, a question i had for you to post here: "i've been telling my husband i want my eyes done for about a yr now. i have the "inherited" - hood & dark circles from both parents. even when rested i sometimes look tired & if i'm not rested - well the bags come out. dr schulman - what is the best treatment for this? i'll be 40 soon, have no other wrinkle issues - but would really like to get my eyes to match how i feel. i can even make it up to NYC, as that's where i'm from & still have lots of family there." thanks in advance. hubby over the wkend told me if this was bothering me enough to start the process - got the green light to head north for this as well:). luckily i've not had any skin issues with weightloss - my eyes however are a constant bother. appreciate any feedback -

good luck fellow tens getting back on track. the beauty of the band, is that you can start over at anytime, and the fact you never gained while off course is a blessing that didn't exist beforehand. for me, i had been pretty dilligent with my diet & have become obsessed with exercise. i can't not work out, otherwise the weight stalls. i think an accountability thread is perfect to discuss diet & activity.....i wish you all well !!! -
as a lab breeder (look at my avitar- my big baby) your better off getting a pet nail dremel. i've cut to the quick too many times and have had bloody reactions - the dremel lets you work the nail down slowly. it's my favorite tool....you can get a set at many pet stores or on the web for $30 or under -... it really is a great investment if you want to learn & do on your own.

terri you look SO refreshed - i must say 12 days post op, great results!!
