shauna - i did not start losing till month 4 (20lbs previously). just keep doing what your doing - it' will come *** btw, i got that same advise after putting out a question similar to yours &&&& was PISSED - but it's true.*** i too had female issues that helped along with the weight gain, along with having a problem of putting down the fork. our start & goal weights are not too far off - focus on future health, with food & exercise and i promise it will come. i wish you well!!!

so i was a big sissy with running - cause well, i just dont' like it...but forced this process to jump start boot camp w/my trainer. what i would do, is a hybrid of wk4 & 5...till wk5 i could do w/out issue. so for 3 wks i did a combo, and i believe i repeated that throughout till i got the breathing right. i never had issues with the legs - it was the breathing hard that brought me to my knees. pretty sure (whosya would know) it took me 12-13wks to complete...i think you all are doing FAB~~

hey all~~ i responded on page 2 i think of this thread an HOLY COW it's now up to page 28 or something. i have read some, and think this is one GREAT support system in all aspects. i felt the same way when i started this back in jan w/whosya - who i see is also a cheerleader for you all here. it's all fantastic, how strong we get when the challenges get tougher. anyway popping back out - will popp back in...want to congratulate you all!!! PS - not to scare...but wk 5 i repeated more than twice:rolleyes:

How easy or difficult has it been to lose weight with Lap Band?
luluc replied to photo's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
so, if i'm reading correctly - you went from 301 to 182 in 3 months and feel as if this was slow? that level of weight loss is HUGE in my readings here on this forum for that period of time, i barely lost 20lbs in the first 3 months. i can appreciate the struggle with fills/unfills - took me 7 fills to control my ravenous appetite, then after 2 months i tightened up so bad - i struggled at each meal, had to have 2 subsequent unfills. i would seriously request a sit down w/your Dr to discuss your inability to eat properly **to me you sound too tight** - but i'm no expert. i just found this was a slipperly slope of trial & error to find that perfect spot.., it you have a placement issue that's something alltogether different & again your surgeon should be of assistance. i wish you well!!! -
ya know i could go on & on & on with regards to family dramas, but i wont' cause everyone has them. when you marry & merge into another family dynamic ***and get to know THEIR dramas*** boy it can be entertaining as 'h'double hockey sticks' come the holidays. i eloped to vegas in blue jeans & a tee; pretty sure DH had flip flops on - dunno. the main point is the Marriage - NOT the wedding. i had SO much pressure to have an obnoxious over the top wedding being the only daughter...but my parents knew me; that was not my style - i never "dreamed of the big day" the way many women do. i met the man of my dreams & could have cared less how/where - i just wanted to be his wife. i wouldn't have traded that evening for anything, we still giggle that we filled out our application for marriage with a crayon. my advise - i think more than anything you have to protect your relationship with your spouse as much as possible. that means considering his feelings when attending or not attending family functions where friction is. my husband has gone/done things on his own, as have i with regards to family - by in large we attend functions together, yet sometimes that's just not what the other wants & we have an agreement to hold no grudges....coming up on 9yrs - no issues w/how this works. i would "send" a gift with your regards - acknowleged the day, while preserving peace in your own home....

BJean - just read about your troubles/illness. Sure hope your on the mend; miss reading your posts:biggrin: -
thats me:tongue:...was tentative of putting my Pic out "there" - but i'm getting over myself. no i have not yet posted before & after shots just yet , but plan to do so this wk. i found a pic of myself exactly a yr ago this wk holding some of my newborn pup labs and all you could see was my 3 chins / flabby arms & gut. i've been so appreciate of all those who have posted on the before / after thread, more importantly respectful of having the courage to do so. it's about time, i did the same....

hubby only WISHES i was a cowboy fan. was born & raised in NYC & a big Giant fan, rather World Champion NY Giants (LOL). i'm Texan by marriage:wink_smile: - i DO root for them most wks however, if they're playing NY - i can't & the spousal unit talks a lot of trash. i think this will be the first yr in our marriage that we are NOT tailgating frying turkeys before the game on thanksgiving @ TX Stadium :frown:.....
-
VERY lucky - no excess skin; i train pretty hard (workout 5days p/wk) & really only put the weight on after i got married - so not sure if its that or genes:wink:
-
-
i can eat ANYTHING - the only rice that "can" give me a problem is sushi rice (sticky) - but i have brown rice a couple times a wk, never with an issue.
-
"when" i have a Protein shake, it's EAS AdvantEdge carb Control - chocolate. 110 calories, 17grams protein. i'm sure others will respond to their favorites....
