  2. if a hillary supporter jumps fence to mccain/palin - for the shear purpose of the gender card....well then; sad day. stuns me - can't see it; hurts my liberal heart that gender will decide this election. ferraro has her own bitterness; she'll still vote for obama. i am a daughter of a mcgovern "mom" - i LOVE woman are now in this race & ARE going to be factors, as stated - politics & my values decide my vote.
  3. ok - going to finally post after reading every comment. we are ready for a woman President - not just VP....this VP candidate does not share my values; therefore - not going to swing me in the other direction....my liberal values just won't let me go there. that said - i had a LONG , LONG conversation w/my 2 best friends last night. they both share gadget's view in all respects of the political spectrum. they are FLOORED, insulted, and angry in the choice of Palin. i of course giggled, but was intrigued by their comments. i was shocked at their dismay of this alaskan gov, that they now see the obama/biden ticket more appealing. which makes my giggles louder!! she will not get the disenfranchised hillary votes. i think her selection has made this much more interesting; but in the end will be mccains demise. your own individual politics decides who you vote for - not gender/ not race.

    must be a prancer - i land on my toes; all the time. must be the reason they're splitting. the bulk of my weight hits the front of the foot while running.

    hope all who are in the path of gustov or hannah are safe!! just got a bit windy w/some rain (i'm south of DFW) here & can actually use it. congrats to all that the scale was nice to:tongue:, i found mine hidden in the garage by DH yesterday & i've got to get back to eating better. up 3.5lbs & just need run more - eat less. had a training session this AM, and my long wkend took it's toll on me -which i knew it would: 30min interval running - run 5min / walk 30sec ... so on. outside of course....can't wait for fall weather!!! 30min upper body weight training. mostly back & shoulders on a good note today was my 45 day measurments: down 9 inches & lost 4% body fat. though the scale is evil; i'm noticing the inches - the warpped thinking i had, let me eat more - and the scale showed. so the snacks are gone, along w/family & i can now eat better:tongue2:..i have a "bet" w/my trainer in 4wks to drop another 5% body fat; pretty motivated now & need that - just in time for the 5k. lulu
  6. bloo - you just cracked me up!!! my band went MIA these last few days, including today. i'll just list what i've eaten.......SO far - up 3lbs and need to get back to norm tom... venison sausage w/ WW toast & cream cheese 2 BB ribs 1/2c beef stroganoff 1 ostrich jerky stick banana scream protein drink 90 cal special K snack bites - chocolate SF rice pudding cup i see my trainer at 8am tom; OMG i'm in trouble cause my tummy just had a party these last few days...

    I hate it when people post just to post.....

    i have SO much family on our ranch this wkend - i'm posting, wishing i could post more....but just really wish everyone would eat ALL the food here & go take a nap. my routine is messed up and i'm annoying some..but it's my place...so i can do so:scared2::thumbdown:

    today - 4mile run - broken down in parts...LOL i have too much family in town this wkend - more food & wine than i should have, but lots of competitive BS sports: bocce/water volleyball/corn hole. see ya'll in sept:) lulu

    that is fantastic renewed!!!! congrats on getting out there, look forward in hearing how it all went!!! good luck on your run lyn!! i have a bunch of company - who are still sleeping, doing some coffee & when the sun pokes through i'm going to get my run in...shooting for 3+miles...we'll see. have a good wkend all!!!

    good luck whosya... saw my OB this AM, she suggested a podiatrist. there is no discoloration, no marks other than the nail splitting (2 on each foot). she thought it might be my diet - calling ins to get a referral & hope to see what this is about ..... till then i'll just buy more band aides..., the ouchless of course..LOL

    have a good run GG! i've only run twice this wk. my toes have hurt; actually my toenails have been splitting/cracking WAY low - like in the middle of the nail. i keep them short - so thats not an issue, i started to add a Protein Drink in each day to see if i'm lacking something, also to help the workouts my trainer has been putting me through...any nurses out there have an idea?? thanks, lulu

    taking the day off today - legs are tired, yesterday - 30min bike interval level 8 lower leg weight training ab routine **went to preseason cowboy game last night ceradad, played your home team** SO excited football season is here!!!
  18. yesterday - b- slice of WW toast w/tsp cream cheese & skinny latte s- banana scream protein drink l- 5 grilled shrimp & 1/2c steamed squash d- 5pcs tuna sashimi
  19. i've had a problem lately w/hard workouts getting enough protein in w/food, so i'm going to start adding a drink to see how things go.... yesterday - b- banana scream protein drink **my new fav thing** (8oz 2% milk w/1 scoop of banana scream protein / half banana / tbsp of crush pineapple s- ostrich jerky stick l- dozen steamed mussels w/garlic & a bit of butter d- grilled cheese :smile2:

    froggi - best cure for depression ; is to knock it down a peg or 2..... today yoga class 30min walk - treadmill & some ab work.....had a flightly day; while hubby was training i felt the need not to RUN!!!
  21. haven't seen a bill since i was married. i'm "TOLD" what i've spent on certain things - but never once in 10yrs have i had to deal with a bill other than lunch w/the girlfriends. hollie - i "use" to be a BIG "PHF" (use the imagination - LOL), but i am a child of the 60's and my mom is still a big hippie. balance - key to all things;-:cursing:

    i am the obnoxious friend - who nags my GF's who are over 40 and never had a mamogram to GET ONE. actually i'm beyond obnoxious - go figure:) i remember when i scheduled my first one at 24, and was told i don't need one. i'm like well my mom was just diagnosed, and one of her sisters is stage 2; they're like ..... OK we'll let this go, even tho your not over 40. thankfully my company paid for a screening trailer from Baylor come to our office every Oct & got one - bar none. lyn - bark, preach, & speak loud ... this is a curable disease, and as we are taking care of weight issues; the rest of the bod need attention too!! lulu
