    hey all, today - 90min session w/trainer - all body weight training ; ladder drills/squats & abs
  2. the NP at my dr's office who does my fills suggested ostrich jerkee & happen to find it at my 24hr fitness for sale. i love them, especially after a workout & won't be able to eat right afterwards (i always carry one)they are much softer to eat & really good: OSTRIM JERKEE Beef & Ostrich Meat Jerky (1.05 oz. Package) one stick = 80 cal / 1.5g fat / 14g protein

  4. all veggies (i like cucumbers mostly) - pita chips, i mix hummus in my tuna or cottage cheese & sometimes use is as a spread when making a sandwhich....
  5. bigbaby - i also make my own, but i also throw chickpeas in a lot of other dishes (salads). amy's recip is spot on & you get much more Protein that way.!! the only store brand i found that had "decent" amts of protein, was whole foods (6g). yesterday - b- choc/peanut butter Protein Drink l- 1/2c Pasta salad , few bits of tuna s- 1.5oz cheddar w/6 trisketts d- 3.5oz garlic talapia w/1/3c pea salad

    i'm such an early bird - if i don't work out in the AM it doesn't happen for me. up around 4 (UGH - my dogs want out & the roosters are telling me they're hungry)....LOL congrats on joining the run club!!!

    small horse complex? i only have one horse now & dozen longhorns .. we really want to get a pair of donkeys after losing our jack russell to a pack of coyottes not long ago.... i'm still new to the "ranch living" - can i mix one horse in the pot w/them - or do i send my heeler out to referee??

    i LOVE NSV's!!! - georgia/renewed just got caught up on the sept 07 board....good to see it alive again. leslie - unfills seem to do well for me; i might be heading in this wk for unfill #3 because it's been a while that i can eat a hot meal hot. gets annoying to wait , wait , & wait some more. hope your ankle is feeling better!!! kathy - i notice that runners do the acknowleged "nod" to one another; a neat club to be in. running was just not in the cards for me today - tried, and the legs would rather be in the yoga class that just started so left the treadmill for the dark confines of the class....i need to do this more; i felt better and my legs needed a break... have a good evening all!

    leslie - are you running w/a good sports bra? my breasts were tender / sore when i was running on a sub-par sports bra, i bit the bullet and got essentially a harness & the girls are very happy i did:tongue:

    there IS a purpose for donkeys. they are EXCELLENT at keeping coyottes from your cattle/livestock. don't know why, don't know how - but they're kick can send a pack out of your pasture. we have been talking about getting a pair to keep the longhorns safe - cause we have a LOT of coyotte dens around the ranch..... kat - glad your band is still in tact!!!
  11. a lot of people get the band to limit their food intake & ensure that the weightloss doesnt' come back. they don't necessarily have to "diet" to do so....nor do they want to change what they eat, just how much. there are also others here posting that are low carbing it, gone vegan, try to get so much protein in, eat carbs (thats me>>>LOL) - you get the idea. we post for numerous reasons - accountability, made some "cyber" buds, learn new recipes, gauge our eating volume, bitch / moan, & a bit more. i'd encourage you once banding to jump in and post what you eat! i haven't stopped journaling what i eat since the post op diet was over & i could resume normal food. something a lot forget is that the band is forgiving., if you look at normal weight individuals they have a kit kat every now and then...why shouldn't we???? just a thought ps - i really had crappy tuna today (plan on making it myself from now on:wink:)

    i won't if you don't tell my family back in NY that i root for the boys as well - unless they play the giants:wink: today - 20min treadmill - started to run , but the body had NO desire for it - so poped into a yoga class that just started. 20min elliptical after yoga

  14. sorta, had been at this weight for a while ... but would like to lose another 5-10lbs (i'm short - 5'1). took me 9 1/2months to lose 75lbs. getting stuck feels like a lump in the middle of your chest (for me at least) and the food takes FOREVER to work it's way down... good luck on your surgery this thurs!!!

    i love your fall colored faces....my absolute FAVORITE time of year. such a treat after months of 100 degree days. orginally from NYC & really don't miss snow at all. seems fall last a long time in TX :rolleyes2:
  17. yesterday - b- 3 pork pot stickers (pretty good) l- 1/3c curry couscous & chick pea salad s- half cucumber sliced & 1oz feta cheese d- 1/2c chicken chow mein
  18. shrinkin' just realized your on Long Island - was born & raised there:wink: been in TX TOO long......LOL - i wish you well on your journey ... BTW, i have a cold beer every now and then - but waited a few months beforehand & only have one....actually can ONLY have 1:tongue:

    green - ya always make me smirk!!! i had no pre op diet - day before surgery dr suggested i go have a great meal...went to sushi; didn't know when i'd have it next.

    hey - catching up yesterday - 2mile run today - 5.3mile run - 15min walk in the middle....sucked wind; but had my big lug of a lab w/me trying to get him to run some of his big butt off - like mom is doing...LOL house is a mess still - got my kitchen "in temp" fix mode; so....things are going back to normal....GO COWBOYS!!!

    oh can't wait for the fair - told hubby i'm having A bite of EVERYTHING; roast corn / turkey leg & funnel cake....:girl_hug: i love the fair - was banded last yr during it; will be nice to walk about - hit the rides & eat just a bit of it all...minus the fried twinkies:wink: it is football day - house is geared up for the cowboy game.....

    something like that.:embaressed_smile: i'm going to slide into 40, probably literally...LOL i'm sorta looking forward to it - i feel i look better now than in my 30's.. hope you enjoy your day of exercise lyn - agree w/renewed, you might want to up the calories on hard w/out days. yesterday - got a 2mile run in today - ran for 5.3miles / broke it up with a 15min walk in the middle..
  25. hi heidi - i have trouble with dry chicken & bread. i can do super thin whole wheat toast - or thin crust pizza:tongue2:. anything too doughy & i'm stuck for a LONG time.
